Tostones, jugo de parcha (passion fruit juice), the most savory grilled chicken you have ever tasted!

From the moment I walked inside I knew I was in for a treat. They greeted me with a warm hello and didnt bat an eye when I answered with Spanish slang. The promise of Puerto Rican goodness and the music made me revert to my teenage Spanglish. I had dinner for one, as my worst trip friend was busy that night - but I have thought about that dinner for the last month! Arroz mamposteao, pollo a la plancha. tostones and jugo de parcha - everything was AMAZING. And not just in the "I haven't had this food lately" way. On my way out. I bought dessert to go. This will be a must stop everytime I'm in the springs!

Passing through the Springs, we had dropped our friend off at the airport. Next was food. We do try to select local spots and not chains as much as possible when traveling. The food was soooooooo succulent and flavorful!! The mango salsa was nice and HOT!! Service was great. Order to go at the counter or have a seat and someone will come take your order as we did. Lots of locals do to-go I noticed. It's a mellow place with chill ambiance. 2 rooms in a plaza next to a liquor store. One of the two rooms had walls tagged with markers from locals. That's the ordering side with the counter. The other side, the seating area had cleaner walls with a few murals of Puerto Rico nostalgia. Definitely coming back next time passing through!

Food was AMAZING. Hefty portions and great prices. Will definitely be back! I would only say to give dining in customers metal utensils as it was hard to cut meat. Other than that 10/10

Walked in and asked the receptionist for a recommendation for dinner. She opened the box of another order and suggested this, so I got it. I also ordered a passion fruit fruit drink and was quite happy with both! Very tasty food. The entree was $13, and the drink was $4.50. She included a couple of sauces with my order, and both were very flavorful and memorable. One was a white sauce type, and the other was a spicy sauce. I used them both! The outside of this little hole in the wall is easy to miss, and the parking lot is jam-packed with other businesses. There are a few tables inside, which were all full. My one complaint is that there was one very large chunk of just fat in my order. No meat, just fat. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but I don't really enjoy a mouthful of rubbery fat. Maybe some people do? I'm not sure, but I will likely be a returning customer!

Wow this is an amazing place for Puerto Rican fare. I have only had Puerto Rican food once or twice but this is really good. Service is great and they are super friendly and helpful. We got their specials which change daily. We basically got a mofongo with fried pork on top and had teriyaki sauce it was good but the sauce was a bit salty. The pork was great though and the mofongo was very tasty and well seasoned. The other dish we got was a fried chicken breast which was fried well but not seasoned much so it was probably our least favorite thing. It came with tostones which was nice and crispy. We were also given a mayo ketchup and passion fruit hot sauce which I enjoyed a lot! You can get more if you like. The beef empanada we got was freshly fried and nice. For dessert we got a guava flan which was a bit different than what we expected but still enjoyed it though. The texture tasted a bit more like cheesecake so it's a bit dense but we liked the taste the more we ate it. Overall a great hole in the wall place with authentic food and sweet service.

We've been going here for a few years and each time we go it gets better and better. A little advice: Always get the daily specials. You can't go wrong. Service is tremendous. Food is beyond fantastic.

This restaurant offered a good variety of Puerto Rican dishes. I had a passion fruit drink with the shrimp mofongo in garlic sauce. The mofongo and shrimp were good and the portion was generous. I was expecting the garlic sauce to be oil based but instead it was milk based. I didn't like the sauce. I also preferred the passion fruit juice to have a little more sweetness. The employee was friendly and the atmosphere was very much like back on the island. The dining room space is limited and also the parking lot.

Our boricua Hermano came into town and he had heard about this PR gem here in Colorado Springs y Dios Mio, we found it! La gente are amazing and so beautiful! Cutomer service is beyond expectations, the food it is incredibly good. We could not stop eating. Even the kids loved it, I say that cause you know they be picky AF lol ! Highly recommend it! I love Puerto Rican cuisine! We are so full and beyond happy!

I don't know much Spanish as much as I try. I'm dyslexic and I struggle with reading in general. The folks here are some of the nicest people I've ever met in town! Mama helped me pick from the menu and get settled at a table. I got the crazy fries with steak and some fried plantains. The salsa is the best I've ever had. The crazy fries are so good! Very large portion good for sharing! Wonderful lively atmosphere! I will def be back!!

Being from New York with plenty of Puerto Rican and Dominican food, it's hard to find THAT taste. This was it.

The chicken curry is equally delicious, packed with authentic Jamaican spices and rich flavor. The rice and peas are amazing and pair perfectly with every dish. What really sets this place apart is the kindness and hospitality of the owners. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food made with care and served with genuine warmth, I highly recommend Pete's Jamaican Restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

4.7 stars seems too low!…read more Enjoyed lunch at Pete's today - Pete just happened to be at the restaurant and checked on us mid-meal. Super friendly, very appreciative of our business. Now, for the food. There were 4 of us and we cheered something different. I k ow it was all good because there was NO FOOD LEFT IN OUR BOXES when we left. I ordered the Jamaican fried chicken with Mac n cheese, rice and peas. Honestly, some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Fell off the bones, juicy meat but with a fantastic crunch and the perfect fry. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The rice and peas were an unexpected treat. I don't typically finish rice but there was none left, it was really that good. The location is very small, probably would be cramped with 8-10 people inside. I noticed most people grabbed it to go as we were the only group actually seated to eat. The parking lot isn't very big but it's very close to I-25 and convenient access. If you're looking for something a bit different than your typical fast food, give Pete's a try, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!!
