Best family owned Mexican food!! It's been hard for us to find a Mexican food place we like, but this place is the best I've had since we moved to CO. The restaurant is quaint & cozy. Full of beautiful plants & unique artwork. Service was quick, everyone was kind & helpful about questions we had. They have this really good cabbage salsa they bring out with the chips & traditional salsa. Our family had: fajitas, enchiladas, chile rellano, kids taco, and a cheese burger. We walked in and after over 30 minutes walked out. It's Saturday there were some big parties. The food is probably fine but we never got that far. The waitress "washed" the table by basically moving everything onto the floor. (Okay but then you gotta get that up) She brought chips - and asked what we wanted to drink. 20 minutes later she brought waters. I discovered this place last October and stopped for lunch. When I came back I couldn't remember the name of the place or where it was located. I happened to be looking for a department store and drive right passed it and said "that's the place!" Had dinner there tonight and they didn't disappoint. Food was fresh and delicious. We were invited to sit anywhere - we arrived soon after opening, and the entire restaurant only had one table taken. We sat in a comfortable, well appointed booth. It was just as busy as the previous visit but the staff was able to get our orders out in no time at all. The food was amazing, lots of flavors and was fresh to order. OMG!!! my wife and I live in Arizona and we're just out for the weekend and we met our niece and our nephew at this location for dinner tonight and wow, this is a spot to go to for a great authentic Mexican food! I had the combo fajitas, which was the steak And shrimp, my wife has something I don't remember, but she ate it. All, my niece got something as well and ate it all and my nephew ordered just a steak fajitas and completed his plate. I guarantee you you will not leave hungry. We were visiting from Tennessee. I ask a clerk where there was a really good Mexican restaurant. He ask fast food or authentic. I said Authentic. A gentleman in line said U can tell you of one that is close. He said Arceo's. He said make sure you get a margarita because they are good. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. The prices very reasonable. My husband and grandson had the burrito and i had the taco salad with a margarita. The salad was very good. The margarita was so spot on I had a second. PLEASE DONT COME HERE!! Scary area, bad staff, mediocre food, cheap alcohol, and homeless people wandering outside (and inside!) My girlfriend and I came here because the reviews were good and we wanted to celebrate cinco de mayo. Right when we parked, we were unsettled by the area. Upon ordering our margs, we were asked for our ids not once but twice (we're both 22) ! When we got them, it tasted like very cheap alcohol. Additionally, when I went outside to get something from the car, on my way back I was confronted by a homeless man asking for money! The enchiladas and fajitas were not good. the tortilla, beans, and rice, were dry and tasted old. And that's not even the WORST part!! In the middle of our meal, a homeless man came and walked around the restaurant. He then took my girlfriend's straw from her cup!! The staff did not do anything in response and did not apologize. it was a terrible experience. After the meal, we went outside and one of the cars next to us was broken into!! My cousin and I dropped by here by chance on our way up to the zoo. I personally love having a burrito to eat while walking around the zoo. To our surprise it was delicious! We got the burritos with a side of green Chili sauce and it was great! The only thing I would say that makes it less than perfect is that the burritos are not portable like you would want because they packaged them in boxes instead of wrapping them in foil so we just sat at a table at the zoo to eat them but still delicious and worth the stop! read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when we walked in, we immediately knew we were in good hands. It's a small restaurant, but when we arrived, there were only 2 or 3 tables available. It remained at 70-100% capacity the whole time we were there, 6-7:15 pm on a Saturday. It was the only entree I've tried, but I highly recommend the Camarones Mexicanos!! The service was exceptional - the two servers were extremely efficient in seating people, taking and delivering orders, bussing tables, and checking out customers. Oh.my.goodness...this restaurant has delicious AND reasonably priced food! Without spending more than $40 my husband and I each had a sizable entree, rice, beans, chips, heavenly cool guacamole, and half a dozen condiment cups of homemade salsa. Our leftovers are lunch tomorrow, when was the last time you ate out for $5/meal and enjoyed it? You can here! Arceo's includes rice and refried beans whenever you order a combo plate. I had the #10, a chalupa with an enchilada, and my husband's had a tamale accompanied by a chimichanga. I ordered chicken (which was all white meat and as far as I could tell around 3 oz in the chalupa) and he ordered the beef. Freshly cut lettuce, diced tomatoes and tender chicken made my chalupa a feast for the eyes and for my tummy! The chips are crispy and have a nice, not too salty seasoning; they made scooping up the creamy guacamole an absolute delight. My heritage is Irish/Norwegian, which makes me a super wimp when it comes to anything spicier than black pepper. This restaurant is wimp-friendly with no heat at all in the guacamole and chips, my enchilada and chalupa were flavorful with umami and maybe some onion, but not spicy. Our food, which was takeout, was made and boxed up in hardly any time at all. A constant stream of customers came and went using the dine-in and takeout options. There were less than ten open seats in the restaurant and it seemed to be popular with families and workers getting dinner before heading home. Staff were friendly and our order was right the first time! Order one of the combos so you can try the rice. Some places have Mexican rice that is quite salty but it has little other flavor, that's not the case here. The rice does have salt in it but I wonder if it is also cooked in a broth because in addition to the salt there's depth of flavor that water can't provide. Call Arceo's, you worked hard. I was able to get a large portion of food and a strawberry margarita for less than $15 with tip so I was satisfied with my choice to eat here. The chips are not greasy and have a great corn flavor. One of the salsa sauces is made with shredded cabbage. Delicious! As the main I had the chicken mole, it is white chicken meat with a chocolate sauce and sounds unusual but it is very delicious. Which is why I gave them a 5 stars. People kept telling us this stand alone joint was a Mexican gem. In some ways we agree. The clientele makes you feel like you're part of something. Lots of regulars dining when we went. Service was quick. Things were clean. Booth seats could use reupholstering. My husband ordered seafood soup. The seafood wasn't exactly fresh..may have been slightly freezer burned. He has a strong stomach, though, and found the soup to be fine. The complimentary salsas were great.
