They have a lovely appetizer tray of all the sauces and guacamole you'll want! The food here was sooooo good. I think my favorite was the steak fajitas. Not sure what seasoning they put on the steak, but it was amazing. I'm giving it four stars though because it was incredibly loud. Stupidly loud. Couldn't have a decent conversation with our company. Even the waitress couldn't hear us. I know it was a busy night, but consider installing some sound absorption panels on your ceiling or something. The noise killed what could have been an amazing experience. read more

We stopped by while passing through Midway, and stopped at Don Jockey on a whim. We sat out on the sidewalk, which was nice. We had the Cuatro Leguas appetizer, and we really liked the queso and guacamole. For entrees, we had Chile em Nogada with Mexican Vegetable Casserole, Bistec de Puerco with Street Corn, Grilled Chef Salad with chicken, and one daughter just got two sides - Street Corn and black beans. The casserole was fair, but everything else was GREAT! Service was friendly and efficient. I wish I ha d remembered to take pictures of the food. We highly recommend this place! read more

The chips came to the table fresh and warm and the salsa was flavorful. Our meals were hot and fresh from the kitchen with such a wonderful flavor. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive without hovering. This is one of those establishments that stands way above mediocrity and their prices are quite reasonable. Give them a try. My neighbor kept recommending this place. went on Father's Day. Right off the bat I was shocked to see they charge $4 for chips and salsa & $7 for cheese dip. Menu said cheese dip was legendary but tasted l any other cheese dip I've had. The salsa, however, was among the best I've ever had! The food was fantastic! I had the steak and chicken fajitas. I'm typically a big eater and I left full. Good flavor throughout. There were 3 of us and the bill was $75 (+tip). The service was good and overall we were pleased. I guess paying for chips and salsa for the first time ever left a bad taste in my mouth. I do recommend this restaurant! read more

Today for lunch I had the best steak fajitas I have ever had. The meat was tender, very flavorful, the sides were delicious. I took an afternoon to look around in Midway, Ky. We passed Don Jockey and returned to read a menu posted on the window. We were greeted quickly and taken to our table. The server showed up just as quick and took our drink order. Out server knew the menu well and offered suggestions . Fajitas and Enchiladas was our order with rice and refried beans. We walked in around 630pm on a Saturday night and we're seated immediately. We ordered chips and salsa, the fundido dip (an experience in itself!), the quesadilla Jalisco and the chicken fajitas. Our waiter Mike was prompt, quirky, and attentive. Our meal was served rather quickly and the chicken was seasoned so well and cooked to perfection. Quaint little restaurant with a beautiful bar, cute tables and very nice booths. Clean, food was very good. I will be coming back here again. I did have an appetizer and two street tacos. Both very well dressed, presented beautifully and tasted rather comparable to many other great restaurants. This place is awesome. I selfishly was reluctant to write a review because I want this neighborhood gem all to myself :-). I have eaten there a few times now. The restaurant itself is super cool looking; the bar has ample seating. The staff is warm and friendly. But who cares about all that, the food is fantastic. The first time I went I ordered the Molcajete. I have never had this before, but I saw someone else with it. I refrained from digging into theirs and ordered my own. What a treat!!! It would definitely feed two people. The other guests ordered items with sauces: mole, poblano and rosemary poblano. Without exception, they characterized these sauces as the best they have every had. But, none of this compares to the churros - a delectable dessert item about which one of the guests says she cannot stop thinking . I agree; this was one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. A lot of hype, but disappointing like their sister restaurant Garcia's. My wife and I brought friends from out of town. I had two grouper tacos. They were small with an unbelievably minuscule piece of batter that might have been prepared in a kitchen that handles fish. No kidding. On the other hand, the sauce on the taco was delicious. My wife had the steak fajitas. Good but there was a bug in one of the tortilla shells. She didn't want to spoil the evening so she didn't tell anyone till we were home.
