If I could give this place zero stars I would. One star is generous. The chips were old and stale. The salsa tasted like it came from a jar. The margarita had no tequila it. I ordered a relleno, it was super greasy and bland. My friend ordered a torta which was dry and bland. My torta was dry and bland as well. The beans tasted like they came from a can. I ordered pozole and my friend ordered menudo, however the soup never arrived even after we asked our waitress repeatedly. FInally we decided to take our check and we left. We drove down the road to Taco John's instead. The service was absolutely horrible. The waitress basically ignored us the whole time. When we indicated we were not happy with the meal, no attempt was made to rectify the situation. How this place has so many good reviews is beyond me. I knew it wouldn't be the best Mexican food I ever had, but my steak was really overcooked and over-seasoned. The quac wasn't great. My dad really enjoyed his food and margarita, however, and the waitress was very nice and helped me choose what to eat with my allergy constraints. read more

Maybe I wouldn't give this place five stars if it were in California or somewhere with millions of Latinos, but for Casper, it's better than the other Mexican places I've tried. It's not your standard anglo atmosphere here, and the food is good. I had some menudo and it was very flavorful, thick and rich. Everything about this place is mediocre. They take forever and then when you get the food it is very bland and not worth that wait. Spend your money and time elsewhere. La Cocina is a better choice. read more

I work near by and coworks come for toco Tuesday. What a joke, $1.25, the price is small so I order two...they come and never saw anything that small. They were smaller than mini tocco's. The service is bad...do not try to get in and out all in one hour. read more

I had a shredded beef burrito smothered in green chili and it was delicious!! The green chili was by far the best green chili I've tasted in years! If I had to give one negative it was the rice. Definitely have had way better. The service was fast and friendly! read more

I had flautas and enchiladas with 4 different meats and it was not good. The meats were overcooked and dry. I sampled my wife's relleno and it was dry and not flavorful at all. To be fair, let it be known that we are from Southern California where there is a GOOD mexican food place on every block. Don Juan's would be a 1/2 star place at best. But this is Wyoming so I will be generous with 2 stars. The food was a poor effort. Starting with the table tortilla chips obviously from a bag. The salsa was little more than ketchup. I had enchiladas and I am betting the sauce was from a La Victoria can. The best thing on the plate was the refried beans. Ordered Pico De Gallo, which never arrived. The "salsa" was thinner than the contents of the Tapatio Hot Sauce bottle on the table, with absolutely no chunks of vegetables and it tasted more like water. The tortilla chips were mostly burnt and old/stale. We ordered Carne Asada and Chile Relleno for dinner. The meat had a lot of gristle and was hard to cut and chew. The peppers were dry and burnt and had the seeds all over them. The Chile Relleno was dipped in a batter and deep fat fried and it was really soaked and dripping grease, as if the oil used to fry was not hot enough. The Mexican cheese inside was cold and not melted at all. Just a big chunk of cheese. If this was the first time we ate Mexican food, we probably wouldn't eat Mexican again. Stay away! Didn't care for it at all. The shredded beef had an odd flavor to it, more like meat off the face of a cow.

the food was authentic but dry i wouldn't recommend it to anyone passing through. i ordered the enchiladas and enjoyed the choice of meats to put in them however, the chicken (poilo) was dry, the pork was the same, the carne asada was decent. the beef cheeks where fantastic perfectly cooked, tender, and extremely flavorful. my friends ordered the tamales and the chimichanga. the chimi was good not dry and flavorful but, what do you expect when it is deep fried. the tamales where exceptionally dry and my friend couldn't finish a single bite without taking a drink afterwards. so steer clear unless you want to drink a lot while eating. read more

The food here us like I remember eating in Mexico City. This is not Tex-Mex or Americanized. They do cater to the American expectation of chips before the meal. But the food is as authentic as I have had north of the border. And its excellent too. read more

Tired of the stuff that most places try to pass on as Mexican food? Then head to Don Juans for the real thing. No crispy fired taco shells. Juan's small soft tortilla is just like you'll find on the streets south of the border served only with a slice of lime and you can choose your filling from a long list of marinated meats. Juan's burritos are the best in town and,(if he's not sold out) Juan's home made tamales can't be beat (beef, chicken or pork). Buy a dozen and take them home. When our taste is for Mexican my wife and I believe that ther is only one place in Casper - Don Juans on Center Street. read more

Best Mexican food in Casper. The staff is always very nice and the food is consistently good and affordable. It is easy to get in and out at lunch. My boyfriend and I eat at Don Juan's frequently, he usually gets the chicken fajitas, sometimes spicy (made with jalapenos). The corn tortillas are home made and delicious so we usually mix and match with the flour, I am not one to proclaim "authenticity" but this is not like the usual "plate slob" or 'liquid-y' mess that you would find at restaurants like Guadalajara or Corona Village type places. Also the food is not overly greasy or prepared with too much cheese. The guacamole is great too. read more
