The way they packaged this was horrible. In a paper plate that fell apart no cutlery either. For the price they charge this could have been better . It all fell apart and I couldn't eat it since I had no cutlery!

Great deal for burritos here. They're ginormous and it's only for $10-12. I've had the Bistec (steak) and the Al Pastor (pork and pineapple). They're not the best burritos I've had but you definitely get good value. Like the Al Pastor was a bit fatty and didn't have the best cuts of meat but the pineapple definitely helped give it unique flavors. Would love to try more of they're extensive menu. The melon (cantaloupe) drink was all fresh juice with some sugars. Cheers

Listen, I am not sure why this was only rated at 2 stars on TripAdvisor but I have visited all the time and it's always been a good experience. I have been food poisoned so many times in New York City and this was the only food truck in the city that did not. They make the food fresh and yes, it takes time to make a meal but isn't this what everyone wanted? A food truck able to make fresh meals all the time. It's the same thing as if you were going to visit a restaurant, right? So waiting is part of the experience and the waiting for the food to be made isn't long. I've been eating here for a while now and the ladies know who I am, I am the guy with all the camera gear that stops by at night with the wagon and travel backpack. The food is always amazing and don't stop making delicious food. There is also a guy that comes by sometimes, I'm not sure if he is the boss but he is very cool and remembers his customers. How many food trucks will remember your face? It's in the perfect location and everyone eats from DON Panchito, I even made a few videos on the food truck on YouTube but I can't post it here (I don't think so) So this is my review, 5/5 and you get a lot of food for the money. Fresh is always the best policy and Don Panchito as ThePandaPhotographer approved. Thank you for the service Panda

My friend and I both got food poisoning from this. We suspect it was the fish taco but would avoid in general.

Top: Al Pastor Middle: Bistec Bottom: Pescado

Things to consider when reading this review. 1) I've only tried three items on the entire menu so that is what I'm rating 2) There was a women cooking when I went (some cooks are better than others). I ordered on a Saturday night around 7PM. 3) I'm Mexican born and raised in Los Angeles CA. I do not have NY taste buds. I didn't grow up on meaty sandwiches, pizza and bagels. I grew up with street Mexican food from L.A. 4) I have not tried every single taco place in NY but, I've definitely tried my share of tacos in the city. (tacos #1 still haven't gone too but will soon). 5) I rate food not customer service, wait times, or convenience. I rate freshness and flavor. Now for the review .... I ordered one Bistec taco, one Fish taco, and one Al Pastor Taco. To me personally these are the best tacos I've had in NY this far. They are not to be compared to L.A street tacos that's like going to Italy and looking for a good taco. I'm going off NY standards here and with that said these tacos specifically were delicious. The salsa had some kick and flavor. In my opinion salsa makes or breaks a taco the red one is spicier than the green one. The portion of meat they serve per taco is generous and none of the protein I had was dry it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely go back and try other items on the menu but, for tacos if the same cook is there they will always have a repeat customer in me. P.S tacos are made to order they are not rewarming food so be patient to get your food. ( I waited 10 min)

No frills taco spot in Greenpoint that is very popular! Expect a line. The tacos are super fresh…read moreand the star of the show is definitely the meat. My favorite was easily the pastor as it was so well balanced. The tacos are self dressed, so you can decide what toppings to put on it. Something to note: the tacos are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Los tacos no. 1, so get an extra to account for that.

Taqueria Ramirez is a popular, authentic Mexico City-style taqueria in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known…read morefor its tacos like al pastor, suadero, and tripa, often finished with a blowtorch for a crispy texture. Owned by Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar, the spot stands out for its real flavors, busy small vibe, and unique options like nopales and a rich dipping sauce. The owners opened it in 2021 to fill a gap in NYC's taco scene. I was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to pick up an order from the popular fish spot Piscator. I wanted to check out the food scene there and did some research, which led me to Taqueria Ramirez because it's so popular. When we got there, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. The place has an open kitchen where you can see all the food being made. They offer toppings, but you add them yourself from a table of condiments. I got two Pastor Tacos, a Suadero, Longaniza, and the famous Tripa taco, which is pig intestines. The Pastor tacos had big chunks of meat that were super tasty and flavorful. The Suadero tasted similar to the Pastor, but it was still packed with flavor. I wasn't really a fan of the Longaniza; the flavors didn't do much for me. If you like bold tastes, you might like it. I also didn't love the Tripa -- the texture was off, and it was too soft. They blowtorch the Tripa to make it crispy, but I didn't really get the crunch I expected. Overall, this place makes some really good tacos, and I'd definitely go back to try their Gringa Al Pastor Tacos, which are only available on Tuesdays.
