I was a Customer at Morelos truck on North 7th and bedford ave for Over 5 years , one very cold day I ordered my regular and was instructed to pay before they started making my order , I told them i would pay when it was ready (being that it was cold and thats usually how a transaction works anyway). The guy in the truck said "Ok" and closed the window . I stood there waiting for my order and when 3-5 mins passed I knocked and asked if it was ready and the guy said "No you didnt pay". As a regular and someone who had introduced this truck to many people I felt very upset. I have not returned and do not plan on it. I do not recommend this location to anyone , if they would treat a regular this way imagine how they would treat someone new to them. Not bad, not great. Just adequate but not memorable. The steak wasn't seasoned, the chorizo was very salty. The tortillas tasted like corn and white flour mix, so if you want that more traditional corn tortilla, this is not it. Will work in a pinch on lunch break but not exciting unfortunately. read more

After a wild night out in Brooklyn, my friends and I decide to have a quick bite before we went to bed. So we decide to come to this food truck and we made our line and waited for our turn, I was the second one to order, I choose to eat the torta of steak, without beans, my other friend order the taco and my other one order a steak quesadilla. My order came around 15 minutes later a good timing, one of my friends order came 25 minute after his place his order, and my last friend did not got his food. A lot of people came order and got their order first than my last friend; even my other friends that arrive long time after we did, they ate first. After almost 50 minutes of waiting for the order my friend decide to ask, where his food was, the guy in the truck say oh; I am sorry we don't have steak anymore. That they run out of steak can happen anywhere, but what uncomfortable my friend, is that they waited more than 45 minutes to tell him that they did not have steak anymore. He got his money back and when to another place to place an order. Even though my torta was good, the customer service giving to my others friends made me give then only 2 stars. read more

After the most recent event at the nearby Le Comptoir restaurant my new fellow Yelp friends led me to this hopping little taco and burrito truck. Tacos only $2.50 each. Burritos $7.50. Tortas $5.00. Tasty as all hell, and cheap enough! Plus, you can get pretty much any filling - chicken, beef, pork, vegetable, sausage, goat. Yes, I said goat! Good sauces to load onto your food too. The Morelos truck is always there and right next to Dunkin' Donuts!!! The food is always fresh and made as you order. My usuals are the pork and fish tacos however I've had chicken, and steak taco too. There fairly priced and filling!!! Even the nachos, you won't need anything else because they add steak and boy is it good! It can get spicy so you can tell them no hot sauce just in case you don't want it too spicy! But other than that they add guacamole suave give you radishes and like on the side YUMMY !!!! You have to come and check them out because it's sooooo worth it. So my friend and I were standing in line for the Hall of Magic at The William Vale and given that the line was super long my friend walked to get some tacos for us to eat in line. Honestly I'm not sure about the wait time for these since she was the one that grabbed them while I held our space in line. I ate the spicy pork tacos and they tasted pretty good to me, although the taste might have been better than it is given that we were super hungry and standing in the cold. They weren't mind blowing but they weren't bad either. Given the convenience and price I'd say it was worth it at the time. Bargain tacos from a truck I wanted a quick snack before heading to Brooklyn Flea last weekend, so I gave this place a try. Their $2.50 tacos seemed like a good deal and I went with spicy pork and steak tacos. It was very quick and I had my piping hot tacos within two minutes. Their ingredients were very fresh and I appreciated the lime wedge and radish slices they include with the tacos. The lime really cut through the dense taco, which had lettuce, salsa, guacamole, hot sauce, and cilantro (a definite must on these tacos). The spicy pork was great, nice slowly roasted taste to it and very tender and easy to bite through. I preferred it to the steak tacos, whose meat was a little tough and not as flavorful. The spicy pork also had a perfect level of spiciness, a slight tinge without the desperation for water. The double corn tortillas wrap everything into a nice little package. If it's past like 3-4am and you want tacos off Bedford there are other options but they will all have a wait and this place is the most worth it/fastest Tacos are $3 but that's standard in gentrified williamsburg. I had a burrito with literally everything in it, and everything was delicious. I was drunk so take this review for what that's worth. Also convenient seating, I presume thanks to Dunkin Donuts. About 95% sure I got food poisoning from vegetarian nachos the other night. Service wasn't great, but it was 12:30am and I had just gotten off work myself so, whatever. Not worth telling that story. I ate the nachos with refried beans (no meat) and everything else normally on it. Then, a few hours later woke up and had intense stomach sickness (all the ways) for 10-12hrs, with other symptoms lingering a day or two. Had to miss two days of work /pay. Wash your hands, wear gloves, and keep your prep at proper temperatures! Gross. read more

So last night I went into Williamsburg looking for cheap food that would be somewhat filling too. I searched Yelp and found that there were two taco truck/cart places a few blocks from me. I decided that I might as well try them both seeing as how they both got good reviews and were literally several blocks from each other. The first place was La Troca del Sabor which was a big truck. The second place was a stand inside cart called Taco Morelos. Look for my review on La Troca del Sabor. Taco Morelos was in the busier part of Bedford Avenue. The tacos were $2.50 each. There were a bunch of other things on menu boarded around the cart but I'd never heard of half of then and decided not to look like an idiot. I decided to go with a Chicken Taco and a Carnitas Taco. There were a bunch of chairs set up on the sidewalk that one can sit in to wait or to eat. I took mine to go as I walked back to my car. The tacos came unwrapped but instead placed in individual little paper plates and places in a styrofoam take out container. Also in the container were two lime wedges and a few slices of radishes. I ate a slice but it was quite bitter so I didn't touch the rest. The paper plates were a smart thing because I could just pick up the paper plate with the taco inside and never have to get my hands dirty. And if I pinched the other end of the plate closed, nothing would fall out the other end. The tacos were good but not really anything special. If you read my review on La Troca del Sabor then know that these were actually better tasting. Yet another mess in a container but slightly better tasting mess. After I got home later that night I came down with a bad case of FOOD POISONING. I don't know which place I got it from so I'll just have to include this section in both reviews. I've puked all night and the world seemed to be spinning. Had I not known better I'd say I was drunk. read more

The tacos tasted good...but tasted exactly like every other taco I've had at an NYC street fair, etc. Nothing special. Also love the other-not-so-common corn tortilla meals - The huaraches, a thick masa oval piled high with treats. The sopes, chewy thicker tortilla topped with meat, beans and cheese.
