Been here quite a few times. Usually the service is good and food taste good as well. I was searching for places to eat online and saw there site said they were open till 10pm on Thursday. We showed up at 8:50 so we figured we had plenty of time to order and leave as to not hold anyone up. The lady at the front counter told us they where closed in a very pissy tone. We tried to show her that it said 10pm online which she replied with not my problem we are closed now. I guess we will be finding another place from now on. read more

My wife and I have been regulars for several years and have visited for about 10 consecutive Sundays so far during this football season. I must say I'm a little ticked off about what happened today: It is Sunday. It is football season in December. A patron whom I'll call "Raider Dave" showed up an hour after we arrived. He wasn't even watching his team get destroyed by the Chiefs--it was a boring game. Therefore, we asked to watch the 49er game on the television at the end of the bar right next to where we were sitting. Never mind the Raider game was on 3 other televisions. They changed the television for us but had to change it back to the Raider slaughter a few minutes later because "Raider Dave" got pissed. So, when Dave finished eating, Ms. "I sit in here everyday and watch golf," whom we've never seen before, requests the television be switched to golf--and they do it. Are you kidding me? Do you guys not understand the value of repeat customers and word-of-mouth? It's the heat-up to NFL play-off season and you allow one person at the bar to watch golf and to heck with everyone else? To the hard-working crew at Don Perico on Hageman, it was a good run. We like you, but this was wrong! I doubt you really care too much, but we were offended. read more

We have been going to Don Perico for years. We are rarely disappointed. Again last night we are greeted by amazing staff and our drink orders and appetizer arrive promptly. The waiters are positive outgoing. This can be a busy place so your dining experience may slightly vary depending on what time you dine. The drinks are amazing. Great place for 2 or 20. read more

The most disgusting Mexican food I have ever had. Needless to say the food did not stay down for very long. Service is HORRIBLE! All the waiters just sit around and don't pay any attention to the customers. You literally have to get up to look for them. The restaurant is empty but still it takes forever to get your food. On 10/24/2017 around 8:30pm I went to Don Perico's to watch the games highlights of that night and eat dinner. As I made my way to the bar where I found an open seat. I asked the bartender if the kitchen was still open and if it was okay to order so food. The bartender took my ordered which was 6 tacos and a cup of water. I was told that the only way I can order tacos was if I purchased an alcoholic beverage. I don't drink and drive so I just got up and left. SMH! read more

This used to be our favorite place to eat. My family went for dinner about 1 week ago. Wow!!! Dirty furniture, greasy rubbery chips, hard shell taco was chuy, avocados were brown, water tasted funny and not a huge deal but the napkin wrapps had "Ruby's" restaurant on them. When I asked the waiter he said that "they" sent the wrong wraps, yet they still placed them on. If you don't care about something like that, what are you doing to the food. The worst service we ever had. We sat down and asked for a menu. No one took our order, I had to track down our waiter to take our order. Our food never came and we left and told the bartender this is the worst service we ever had at don perico. We had a similar experience there before but thought I'd give them a second chance. We've been going there for years and they've lost a customer for life. Plenty of other restaurants in the area with real, authentic food. Very bad service. We had a reservation for 15 people and from the moment we walked into the door it seemed like we were a burden. After enduring 10 minutes of attitude from the "manager" and servers we decided to go somewhere else. We walked into village grill, next door, and it was Night and day. Already irritated . The place is empty and the manager is sitting in the booth next to me catering to 2 gentleman. They forgot to give us menus , the chips are stale and the salsa is runny and I'm pretty sure it's past its prime. I ordered my food at 1127am and I got it at 1139! Quick right ? I know but that's because the guacamole looks like it was made 2 days ago , the enchiladas are cold , the tortilla is hard and the cheese is not melted . the beans seem to be refried refried beans ...... Even the Coca Cola taste off . They haven't came to check on us but the manager is still sitting in the next booth discussing some personal affairs with the same gentlemen . I have a stomachs of steel and normally can tolerate anything but I'm seriously considering getting rid of all of food I took in. Needless to say , I will not be coming here again and I leave less than 3 minutes from this place ! read more

When we arrived, we were the only people in the place. My husband and daughter ordered quesadillas and I ordered chile rellenos, rice and beans. Our food finally arrived 20 minutes later, but it was well worth the wait. We will be back again soon. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Since the new owner this place has gone down hill in all areas. Very disappointed. I ordered menudo over the phone and asked for "no pata" (pig feet) the lady on the phone said "it's all pre-made." I've ordered this in the past and never had issues. The manager got on the phone. He wasn't professional at all. Needless to say.. when I picked my order up and got it home. Our condiments were all mixed together which it's never been like this before. Chips were covered in grease an inedible. My wife ordered a Mexican pizza, she got nachos. We he had to ask the waiter if this was in fact a mexican pizza, he laughed and was obviously embarrassed to explain "thats how they make them now since the new owners took over." Food is garbage very bland I grew up eating good authentic Mexican food at home.They can't even get the rice right.Took people with me that eat anything and they didn't eat the food. One star is too much for my visit. Nachos were absolutely horrible. The chips were so soggy when they arrived at the table I had to scape the chicken off and use the chips brought to the table. The waiter never asked why the chips were scraped to the side or why I asked for more fresh chips. Asked for water to drink; received tea asked again for water; I should have had the tea - the water tasted terrible. I will not make the mistake of going here again!! read more

Went to this location for the last and final time. The service is such a let down anymore. The manager doesn't like it when the customer complains to him. My family of 14 went and it pretty much was just us and a couple of other tables our bill was way over 200.00 dollars. Two of those times switching out our food because they messed up the order. Our silverware inside the Napkin had a diced onion on it, clearly not clean at all. We used to go here for drinks 2-3 times a week. Earlier this year service started to get pretty slow. Now they brought in the manager from the White Ln location and also some of their employees. They changed the menu with higher prices, changed the hours of happy hour as well as their happy hour menu and changed the salsa to something that tastes more like tomato sauce. And their service is even worse than it was before. The employees they brought over are more interested in talking to their customers that came over from White Ln., and who knows about the other servers. If it weren't for the bartenders Victor and Francisco knowing what we like, we would never be served. The busboys are better and more attentive than the servers. I really hope they get it together, so we don't have to find another place to let off steam. read more

The first time my husband and I went to Don Pericos was on May 5th 2012. I ordered Chicken Nachos & my husband had a ground beef burrito. The ground beef was greasy and full of everything except BEEF. The chicken Nachos tasted like over cooked rubber, I sent it back and it was replaced with chips and a few pieces of chicken and topped with half a can of Las Palmas enchilada sauce, talk about out of the frying pan and into the trash. I should have seen the writing on the wall, Cinco de Mayo and only 3 tables were filled. The food was so bad and service very lazy,we both agreed never to return. The price of crap on a paper plate was too much, how long do they expect to stay in business with that horrible service? read more

She caters to a few customers by sitting with them and ignoring all others and her slammed staff. She can be found quite often sitting down and watching tv and texting on her phone. I have been to Don Perico's several times on my lunch hour and while they generally are fairly slow the lunch was good. Unfortunately today the serivice was atrocious. We sat there for about fifteen minutes before our drink order was taken and then another ten just to get our order taken. While the food was delicious the service was terrible. We sat with empty cups and no one to refill them. What appeared to be a manager who had orginally took our order was busy off doing other things at the cash register, the blonde waitress was to busy chatting with the bartender who appeared to be on a lunch break while she pretended to roll silverware completely ignoring everyone in the restaurant. Then finally it took another twenty minutes to get our check after we were done eating. Spending a total time of an hour and forty minutes in that place. I suggest they do not open for lunch if the staff cannot handle three occupied tables at once. read more

I went to Don pericos on Hageman to please my fiancee' since he wanted to do our rehersal dinner there. It's a party of 30 to 40 people, so I thought I would check it out first. I checked the eating area and I thought this is good our families would like it. Then we went to the bar and I thought, this could be fun! I'm going to try out their food and drinks to make sure this is it, before I ask for the manager to make arrangements! I was sooo excited... until I ordered!! ALL of the staff was extremely rude. They were critizing patrons in spanish. They thought my fiancee' wouldn't understand because he is white and has colored eyes, BUT he's LATINO!! and I'm Asian. The service at the bar was horrendous. The bartenders, which I later found out that the manager was serving as one of the bartender that day were absolutely horrible. They were also talking bad about the patrons having drinks there also; and even using profanity among themselves, talking about the ladies and which ones had big breasts and if they would 'hit it'. I was so disgusted I wanted to leave. But my fiancee' had ordered drinks, and he asked me to try the drinks.. They were horrible and bitter, It was supposed to be a sweet drink. I didn't want to to pay for anything! Rude, unruly staff, bad drinks and it took 45 minutes for the food to get there while all we had ordered were burrito and enchilada 2 dinner plates. I tried the food and it was 'ok' not the greatest but it was fair. I made sure I didn't complain during my stay because I know what they do to your food and drinks if you are rude and unpleasant with people like that. When I was done with our review, I asked for the manager and that's when they pointed him out to me and said "he's at the bartending today", the server didn't call him to our table. But when I saw that it was one of the guys using profanity and taking about the patrons; I just asked for the check and I told my fiancee', "We are NEVER EVER steping into a Don Perico's again! We are NOT about to drop $2000.00 on our rehersal dinner here!" He was dissaponted as well. One of the worst experiences that I have ever had in this town! Luckily we found a great place with yummy food and delicious drinks!! We are very happy about. If you are reading this, DON"T GO!!! Save your money for a better place. =) read more
