I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. We've lived in the High Desert almost 2 years now and we thought we had visited every place worth going to, but we were wrong. We visited Don Reyes Airport Cafe today and we were blown away. 10/10 Mexican Breakfast, but seeing their Happy Hour menu will definitely bring us back for HH. Service was absolutely amazing. Bottomless mimosas were at a price we've never seen anywhere else. Definitely give this place a try!

    3 tacos on taco Tuesday.

Excellent food. Great chips, guacamole, salsa, I'll say that again. Great chips!!! awesome service (thanks nelly). We love the atmosphere. Music not too loud. Older Country music. Good specials Updated the place since last here a few years ago. Very friendly. Can't say that enough. Shredded beef tacos were amazing! Seriously best in town that I've had. Please don't go there. We want to keep it our secret spot:)

If you're looking for an interesting place to fly in and have Mexican food, give Don Reyes Airport Cafe a try. As a pilot I've been flying in here over the decades. The restaurants have changed overtime but this is a wonderful family friendly venue that is popular with the locals. The winds gonna be tricky flying into Hesperia. There's plenty of ramp space. Fly or drive and you won't be disappointed..

What a great little surprise. I pass by this place all the time on my way to the 138 since we live on the northside of Hesperia. It is literally located at the Hisperia airport, which would be which is a private airport that most people might not have heard of because it's very small. We wanted to grab a late breakfast on a Saturday after doing some running around. When we stopped here, it was fairly easy to get in and we were surprised at how spacious the restaurant was on the inside. As you enter to the left, there is actually a bar area but to the right is the restaurant area. We were greeted by warm and friendly host, who scored us to the back where we found our seat. The restaurant is not fancy. It's really nothing to write home about the food is good and the servers are warm and friendly. We decided to go with the breakfast side of the menu, which is actually served for most of the day. I opted for chili, Verde and eggs, which was an excellent choice. My wife ordered the Machaca breakfast. It was also good, but I think I chose the better of the two dishes. The meal was served with two small sides of beans and rice.

Great spot. I've been in for breakfast a few times. The same server is always working mornings, she's so kind and welcoming, a wonderful energy. Be sure to try their salsas!

I travel for work and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. This place hit the spot. I had the Chilaquiles ( W/ Jack cheese) and Carne Asada. Guys, this place makes them the way they're supposed to be made; with fresh cut tortillas NOT PREMADE CHIPS. Their homemade Chile was delicious ( just the right amount of heat. Nothing that'll blow out your O'ring, later). Coffee was REAL coffee and not coffee looking hot water! The place was clean and neat. No strange odors. These things are important to me because I inspect commercial kitchens for a living. Nelly was the person attending to the customers. She was AWESOME!!! Smile on her face, great attitude, attentive, just an overall sweet person. I topped of my meal with a pancake. I'm really picky with pancakes and this one was near perfect. Not too thick and not too thin; just right. Cooked all the way through - even the center. Delicious! Great experience. I would come back again and again for this meal. If you like Chilaquiles, pancakes, or breakfast in general; GET OVER HERE AND GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!! P.S. The cook (Thomas) was rock'n some cool tunes that really livened the place up.

So good, I forgot to take a photo (Previously on this plate: Chilaquiles (green) with scrambled eggs and added Chicken)

First time for breakfast and it hit just right. So good that I forgot to take a photo We both ordered green chilaquiles, and I asked if they could add chicken to mine. It was only a few extra bucks and so worth it. The authentic Mexican breakfast dishes come with beans, rice and tortillas. All which were great. Currently no vegetarian beans, but my lady still tried some and loved them. Side note: chilaquiles are my dad's specialty, and these are right up there with what he makes at home. Thanks, Don Reyes.

Seen this place a few times and decided to try it today for Breakfast. WOW! The food was tasty and Fresh. Ordered my steak medium well and it was spot on. I was very impressed with the service. For an Airport restaurant, this place is extremely well run. Great service, awesome food and a nice view of the local airport. I've found a gem!

    The new menu! Yum!

Ordered the Chilaquiles without onion to go and it was delicious. Service/host was very nice and quick with my order. I'm thankful since I am a busy mom. lol food is delicious!

The atmosphere is cozy it has that warm, comfort-food vibe that just makes you relax and enjoy your time. The food definitely delivers on that "home-style" promise. We ordered a variety of dishes: the country fried steak skillet, the hobo skillet, and the chicken fried steak--all hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I went with the cinnamon French toast, and for just $4.49 extra, it came with eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon (I picked sausage). Everything was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are generous--we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking boxes home, which honestly just means we get to enjoy it again later for brunch! This is a perfect stop if you're traveling along the I-15--especially for road trippers or truck drivers looking for a solid, comforting meal. Friendly and attentive, but... The bad. Expensive and very small portions for price, but they are striving for that upscale feel. Quality over quantity which is fine, just don't expect huge portions. I was fine with my portion, others in my party were not. The reason my family will probably never return is as follows and I ate their last Monday and I'm still very upset about it and feel cheated. Waiter asked me several times about trying a new drink on menue. I declined twice as my husband and son each ordered a flight. The third time he brought it up my husband said bring her one, she likes mimosas. . Yes, I should of asked a price right then. It was a champagne drink with strawberry puree. I'm thinking $15 bucks max. It was ok. Nothing special honestly. My son ordered himself and my husband two house shots at end of meal. Waiter tried twice to get an upgrade. They declined. Long story short $40 for my 1 drink and almost $35 for 2 cheap jimador shots. Our bill for 4 was $320 before gratuity. I've never spent that on lunch, even in SD where I live. I feel they push the expensive alcohol on you and purposely do not give prices, so BEWARE! Ask prices! Last, it was a Monday and we were given a brunch menue and then also given a regular dinner menue. Thought that was odd for a non weekend and way too many selections. Overwhelming. I hope it does well, but I don't think it's the right demographic honestly and doubt it will last a year. I hope the waiters are more honest with customers about alcohol prices, because it was really great tasting food and a beautiful place

We had already waited about 45 minutes and were second on the waiting list when everything basically came to a stop. What made it worse was the attitude from the woman working up front. Instead of being understanding or communicating clearly with customers who had already been waiting, she came across as rude and dismissive. Meanwhile, other surrounding businesses were already back up and running. Unexpected outages happen, but a busy restaurant should have some type of backup plan or process for situations like this, especially when customers have already been waiting that long. We were looking forward to eating here, but the lack of preparation and customer service made the experience extremely disappointing.
