Location on Bear Valley and Cottonwood

This place is quiet and cute. It's not a stand out location so you might miss the parking lot on the main street. There is parking and an entrance in the back. It's been open around 2 months. The food came out smoking hot. Literally smoke was coming off of it. The waitress is so welcoming and friendly. Looks like a nice date spot or a place to enjoy a family meal together. Little decorations throughout gives it a home feel. The food is delicious! Everything was cooked just right. We got meals to go. They cook bacon to my perfection! Not every place does. Often I have to send it back. I would recommend Leo's Country Cafe for the atmosphere, the great food, the acceptable pricing and the good energy the staff gives off.

Country combo a lot of food

This is a nice little breakfast place the waitress is Patty and a sweet doll. The food is a good American café I ordered the steak and eggs the banana bread, which was delicious. It was soft moist and the butter just added the right touch. Ordered the country combo with a side of hot links. The country combo is such a huge portion of food. If you're hungry I would order that it comes with a ham steak two sausages, two pieces of bacon, potatoes, eggs, and a pancake all for $18.99. That is a deal. The portion is huge. I also tried their biscuits and gravy, which were very delicious. The waitress patty gave me a little sample of the Menudo to me. It's not the best. It's a little too greasy and not enough of spices for me but not the worst I've had. But like I say, give it a try and you decide.

    Horrible Nasty home fried potato's

Went today ourFirst and last time. My husband had a prime rib omelette omg so nasty no flavors. The Cheese that was on top didn't taste like cheese. Horrible No flavor Home fried Potatoes was white on one side burnt on other side with Hugh onions and bell peppers. I got French toast asked to be lightly dipped was too eggy and hard to eat. Like they were left on grill too long. Prices are not good. If you looking for a place in Hesperia or surrounding areas best place is Mollys Cafe on Hesperia Rd. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Service was fine. Ambiance It's a small place.

I tried this new place and honestly I've been back once more after. The country fried steak was delicious. I really liked it. It was very crunchy but not too hard and the gravy was the right portion for the size of the steak. The waffle was nice and fluffy. They warmed up the syrup and it just topped it off. Some fruit on the waffle would have been nice. The menudo was good but truthfully it had a little too much meat for me. I think the menudo needs just a little bit more flavor. It was good but it wasn't the best menudo I had from a restaurant. Their banana bread was a little too moist but very tasty. I think they needed to cook it just a little bit more. The following time I went I got a garden skillet and it wasn't my favorite... it felt like it was missing flavor. Overall, I would come back here for the country fried steak and try new things. The servers were very nice and helpful.

    Chilaquiles

Food was absolutely delicious!! Our waitress was very attentive and kind! Would definitely come back! LOVED the chilaquiles and menudo.

And I'm a new fan of an old favorite! The food is old timey, country style cooking. It never occurred to me until I tried it but this is the style of cooking that those tv dinners try to emulate, but this food is so much better. It won't win any culinary awards but the portions are huge, food is rib-stickingly satisfying, and it's a guarantee that you'll leave completely full and very likely with leftovers for the next day. The prices are pretty fair too- it was about $20 for a full dinner w 3 sides and 2 biscuits, which was about the same cost but twice the food as the meager fast food option I got the day prior. Between the two I would go for this place every time. It was so nice being on the road and having a real food option without breaking the bank

My husband wanted the Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes (brown gravy on the side) and green beans. The sides were the only things that tasted fresh. The chicken, was precooked, too breaded and reheated. My husband also wanted all dark meat, but the guy said he couldn't because it came in a bag? He ended up eating the two dark pieces and throwing the others away. I ordered the Rainbow Trout, broccoli and although I ordered a Sweet Potato, they gave me a white potato with everything. The trout was dry and not very flavorful. I threw the 2nd filet away. The Broccoli was delicious and cooked to perfection. The potato was a potato and not what I wanted. I won't be ordering dinner from Cracker Barrel again, however, I will still do dine in breakfast on occasion.

For the food: - Rattlesnake bites (2/10): soooo salty. beyond my imagination. has jalapeños but not spicy at all for ppl w/low spice tolerance. - Filet Medallions (9/10): comes w/ 3 sides, 2 sauces, + 3 filets. I ordered the sirloin here last time and this was definitely way better. for the price + what it comes with, this is def a life hack. I got it w/ Mac and cheese and that definitely needs to be worked on. It looks like Kraft but somehow tastes worse. I didn't like it at either of the locations I went to. Soupy little sauce that one. - Sirloin and Shrimp Combo (8/10): My dad really liked the shrimp but I don't think it was anything crazy. Frozen probably & for the price jump with the combo, I probably wouldn't order it myself. Overall, would obviously come back. This is my second weekend in a row. The bread + peanuts get me everytime.

The food quality is usually good and they have always been quick to address any issues. But something has changed. Our party of 6 was there to celebrate a birthday. All of us ordered cocktails or beer along with our meals. My daughter in law ordered a drink she'd had before and after one sip said it was made totally wrong and was not good. We informed our waiter, who had to bring over a manager, who flat out lied and said there's a new law that says they cannot remake or refund drinks. I checked and there is no such law. She told me this policy comes from the new owners of the company and I'd have to call and discuss it with them. Unfortunately there is no way to call, their phone system puts you into a loop where you can't actually reach anyone. And, while I'm here, in case management cares, recently the cleanliness of the restaurant has been in decline. The floors are pretty gross with fries, and other bits of food that has been trampled through. The cloth napkins smell like rancid oil. The bathrooms are neglected and super nasty. And the staff seems either poorly trained or overworked because the overall service level has declined over our past several visits. I'm sad to write this as it really was one of our favorite places up here in the high desert. I hope they can turn things around.

We never ran out of our drinks, which is a feat in itself with how fast the kids drain theirs! The best part for me was when I showed the waiter a picture of a drink I ordered 3 years ago and the bartender was able to replicate it and tell me what it was so I could order it again. It wasn't on their menu anymore, so it was impressive that he was able to identify it from a picture. Bring back the White wine Sangria, it's delicious!
