    The Little Breakfast
    Ryan M.

Whenever we visit the mountain, this is a solid breakfast choice. We've been coming for years, so...time for a review! The ambiance is old-fashioned, in a good way. Vintage dinnerware adorns the walls, the curtains are straight out of grandma's house. You get the vibe! It was Memorial Day weekend, so there was a bit of a wait to be seated, about 30 minutes. We killed the time by getting some excellent Bloody Marys at Jetties, just a few steps away. After being seated, the service was super fast. We got our food maybe 10 minutes after ordering, and the place was packed. The kitchen was really hustling. Food: Wife got the Little Breakfast, as usual. Waffle was nice and light, bacon was crispy, eggs cooked over easy, as ordered. Our two friends ordered from opposite ends of the spectrum. He got the Mountain Breakfast, which is a tremendous amount of food. Eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, potatoes, etc. I'm not sure how he finished it. She got just a single waffle. But she enjoyed it. Finally, I went rogue, skipped breakfast and got the Reuben and Onion Rings. It was a sloppy sandwich but had plenty of corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss. Very tasy. The onion rings were better than I expected, lightly battered and crunchy. Also got a Bloody Mary here, which was nowhere near as good as the ones at Jetties. But the Waffle Works doesn't use real vodka, so I kind of expected that. In the end, a good time and satisfying meal. A ding for the crowdedness and value, and it's good food--not great. A little over $100 for the four of us, which is more than I like to spend for breakfast. But still, we will be back!

For starters, we were told this place was the best in the area and we took the trip from LA. The best thing about it, was the drive and the trains. The food was bland. They literally have seasonings on the table to season your own food to your own risk. Try each seasoning before you put it on your food so you pick the right one. I almost added salt seasoning to my waffles. Hot coco was made with pre mix and water. Kudos with the sprinkles. I expected the waffle to have flavor, but no. I was wrong too. For almost $80, I expected more. Staff was very nice and polite. The runners were teenage kids probably from the local HS and we were in between servers because of their breaks. The dining area was cute. A lot of vintage plates. I would not go back or recommend.

This was the first time I have been to Lake Arrowhead and my GF besties, and I decided to try out Belgian Waffle Works for lunch. The atmosphere and the food was delish. I enjoyed my Reuben sandwich which came with a side of homemade coleslaw ! Yum ! $16.50 which was not bad considering every thing is expensive now a days $3.25 for a Diet Coke with refills. I was hungry so all gone ! The bathroom was scary per my friend who went in and walked right out. If u know what I mean. The restaurant was pretty full so I don't think there was anyone to service the bathroom. The server was friendly and helpful. Great place for lunch & breakfast ! Highly recommend for the food service & atmosphere.

Had a party of 8 for a Sunday brunch and we got seated within 20 minutes of putting our names on the waitlist! We sat outside, but the heaters kept us warm. Food came out fast after ordering, and staff was attentive and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal and portions were generous with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend any of their waffles!! This place is probably one of the top 3 eateries to grab an enjoyable brunch in Arrowhead.

Came the other day for breakfast, there is seating inside but we decided to sit in the nice patio over looking the lake. It was very pleasant with the view. Got the Belgian breakfast, everything was good! Eggs were cooked well, bacon was crisp, potato's were delicious and the waffle was tasty! Service was fine, nothing extraordinary nor terrible either. Just good. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want a good bite and view for breakfast

Belgian Waffle Works is a superbly located brunch location on the shores of Lake Arrowhead offering great waffles at a reasonable price. My daughter and I swung by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly. Not especially hungry we shared the Apple Annie Waffle ($15.50) a homemade waffle with cinnamon apples, cinnamon ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, and raisins, a treat as decadent as you might expect. The waffle was soft but tragically small, the apples good but not phenomenal, and ice cream decent. I suspect the only home made component here was the waffle. Accompanying this was a bowl of Chili ($10) which was decent, meaty, with a touch of spice. Doubt this was home made either, but was good. Service was friendly and very prompt, with us getting our meal in less than five minutes. View is excellent with a perfectly positioned patio overlooking the lake. Valued, as stated above, were reasonable but not exceptional. Taken together, Belgian Waffle Works is a decent place for a very fast, home-made waffle (only) in an excellent location. Good breakfast, service was great ambiance is a little crowded I felt like I was sitting with the table behind me. There are long wait times so it's best to put your name in the Que before walking around the plaza. It's your basic breakfast no big thrills but good

This eatery is located in Arrowhead Village and has both indoor and outdoor seating, the latter right along the lake. Avoid any confusion with seating by going inside first (rather than seating yourself on the patio), where you will be asked your preference (inside or out) and will then be escorted to a table. Virginia was our waitress, handling the entire patio, and doing a superb job of taking orders, delivering food, checking on tables, and generally making every customer happy. While this is primarily a breakfast place, we came for lunch. They offer soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch. I decided on a BLT and chose to have it on rye bread along with waffle fries. We also ordered a cobb salad to share. The BLT had toasted bread and crispy bacon. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. It was delicious but nothing extraordinary - it was standard but done to perfection. The waffle fries were really good, and while they had ketchup on the table, I instead used the ranch dressing that came with the cobb salad to dip them in. Speaking of the salad, it had bits of chicken, bacon, and ham along with olives, lettuce, tomato, crumbled blue cheese, and hard boiled egg. It was quite good and we were provided with two separate plates to share it more easily. It was a filling meal and I waddled out of there more than satisfied. Other than that, I hope to return someday to actually have a Belgian Waffle at a place called the Belgian Waffle Works.

Came in on a Monday morning and it was slightly busy. I waited around 15-20 minutes to get a table. We had our dog with us so we sat in the patio. Despite the heat, the patio had a pretty great view of the lake. I would recommend people eat out there even if they don't have a dog. My party ordered the Strawberry-Banana Royal and I got the Belgian Scrambled for myself. The Strawberry-Banana Royal was solid, just like most of the waffles I've had in my life. The Belgian Scrambled was pretty okay, though I've had better brunch plates. I can only compare it to the second installment of the Karate Kid franchise. It wasn't a bad movie, though I know I've seen better because the first Karate Kid really set the bar. Best believe I still finished it, though. Solid place to try out. Though I would probably try the Country Breakfast next time.

We had such a great experience at Belgian Waffle Works!! We came in early on a Sunday morning and had the entire patio with our pup to ourselves. Not only does this place have great views of the water, but incredible breakfast! We both got the scramble, which was huge, so filling, and so yummy. We both got extra crispy potatoes and I couldn't stop talking about how good the potatoes were. We also got a side waffle - and wow. This place doesn't mess around with the waffle. It even came with a side of melted butter, which we had never seen and loved!! Service was incredible. Even though we were the only guests on the patio, they came and checked on us multiple times. We had the best breakfast here and the best time. Will definitely be back next time we visit Arrowhead.

Waffle House has amazing waffles presentation absolutely amazing. Service mediocre.. other food on the menu I did not care for. Sandwich was pretty the soup taste like water a little bit of flavor so if you come here, you definitely need to come for waffles

We came on a sunday at 11pm, so felt like there were minimal serving staff, so food took longer than expected, but the serving staff was very nice, and attentive. Service, environment, cleanliness, cute holiday decorations, sports on TV, 4.5 out of 5 Food was more of a 3, best thing we got was the Poke nachos, loved the fried wonton chips, nice cuts of tuna, great toppings. regular fries and parmesan fries were good, standard restaurant fries Philly cheese steak was ok, meat was good, bread was too thick and chewie. Burger was ok, average meat and bread. Fish and chips were ok, nice crisp, batter not too dense, needed seasoning, very plain. Chicken wings were ok, little dry, not too much flavor. Cool for groups, lots of alcohol options, good kid options, food was average. I would come back if I was in the area, and had a large group, and wanted alcohol. Dragon egg, neutral.

The food was incredibly fresh, delicious, and came out quickly. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Everything we ordered was amazing, we came TWICE during our 2 day trip. Great service, great atmosphere, and great food. We will definitely be coming back. If you get Cameron as your waiter, you're in great hands!

This was hands down one of the best burgers and malts I've ever had. The burger was fresh, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Every bite tasted like it was made with care instead of rushed out of the kitchen. Then came the malt, thick, creamy, and packed with flavor. It was the perfect classic pairing with an already incredible burger. One of the coolest touches is how they name many of their burgers after classic cars. It's a fun, nostalgic theme that fits the old-school malt shop atmosphere and gives the menu a personality you don't see very often. Great food, friendly service, and a unique experience make this place well worth the drive. I'll definitely be coming back to work my way through the rest of those "car" burgers. Highly recommended!

This is a must stop when you're in Lake arrowhead. I forgot the name of the burger, they use car names for the names of their burgers. I got the cheeseburger with bacon. It was amazing. Taste like high-quality meat, seasoned to perfection and the service is welcoming and they make you feel at home. I really wanted to get the double bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon, but after talking to the waitress, she recommended if I'm not that big of an eater, to go with a single. Let me tell you the single is very filling. If you have a huge appetite, Then go with the double. The burgers here are very well endowed and will not leave you craving for more. I look forward to stopping by this establishment again whenever I'm in Lake arrowhead. They have a cool retro theme seating area, reminds me of an old diner. Which is weird because that's what they were going for lol

Our waiter could not have been nicer. I wish I could remember his name. He was so kind and eager to make our visit a good one. We started with the deep fried mushrooms which were good, but a little too heavily battered for my taste. They came with 2 dipping sauces, a spicy aoli style and an Asian chili sauce (sweet). I had the grilled salmon with lemon caper sauce. It came with your choice of 2 sides. I got the fully loaded baked potato and steamed vegetables. My meal was delicious and a large serving that I could not finish. Good value at $24. My husband got the ribeye with herb roasted potatoes and a salad. The salad was large and fresh with plenty of carrots and tomatoes. The herb roasted potatoes were delicious, but I would definitely get the fully loaded baked potato again. My husband said his ribeye was delicious and cooked exactly as he asked (medium). I had a martini which was a generous pour and the bartender even hand-stuffed some olives with blue cheese for me which was really kind as the bar was quite busy. The atmosphere was great - filled with people enjoying themselves dining, talking, and laughing. Restrooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint was that the seats were hard wood. It would be nice to have cushions of some sort, but that won't stop us from coming back for the good food & drinks, and great service at lake arrowhead sports grill and bar!

The place closes at 8pm on average (maybe a little later in the weekends), but you won't be able to watch the whole Lakers or Dodgers game. I want to comeback and try lunch but breakfast was yum.
