SKIP THIS PLACE!!! Stopped in Traver, ordered food from here on their website, got my food and noticed a side missing, so I went in and asked for the missing side. I assume the manager goes to explain that with a sandwhich you only get 1 side, so I explain that their website lists two sides option. And manager argued that the website is incorrect. Manager didn't offer to help what so ever. I didn't get the second side after all, I was tired. I feel like this place is fraudulent and taking peoples money, as well as not giving what is said. False advertisement on their personal website, won't give you what is offered to you. Food was alright. Seems like a cheap ass management. I ordered the 1. pull pork sandwhich along with potatoe salad and Cole slaw (never got the coleslaw) 2. Pull pork sandwhich along with corn bread and mac n cheese. (Never got the corn bread) Business also told me that they didn't have corn bread and I was never notified of them not having something.

Bbq chicken, pork ribs and brisket with Mac n cheese and potato salad sides and toast.

The food quality was great and delicious with excellent bang for the buck value. Three of us ate for $50 (3 meat platter with 2 sides and 3 drinks). The biggest highlight for us was the BBQ chicken. It was smokey, flavorful and juicy. The brisket and pork ribs were also really good. Despite the location being off a dusty road, it was very clean inside with a welcoming ambiance and country music playing. The staff helped us with the menu and were friendly. It was an excellent way to spend our lunch while we waited for our Tesla to charge across the street. We came on a Saturday and it says closed on Yelp, but it was not. Grateful for that!

I stopped by Don't Bite The Bone BBQ and it was a solid find. The place has that simple, no-nonsense BBQ vibe with metal walls, picnic tables outside, and a cool neon sign inside that says "Don't Bite The Bone BBQ." Definitely a fun spot if you like taking food photos. I ordered the ribs and they were tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The meat pulled off the bone easily and had a nice bark on the outside. They came with a couple of sauces so you can mix it up depending on your taste. Personally, the ribs were good enough to eat without much sauce. The portions were generous and everything was packed neatly for takeout. You can tell they focus more on good BBQ than fancy presentation, which is exactly how a BBQ spot should be. The place also sells some cool merch like their branded shirts, which adds a fun touch to the experience. If you're in the area and craving straightforward, legit BBQ, this spot is worth checking out.

Tried Don't Bite the Bone today, and the BBQ was so good I almost forgot the name's warning. The food was flavorful, the place was spotless (even the bathroom was super clean and the staff was friendly. The mac and cheese was just okay, but everything else made up for it. Definitely worth a visit. Go check it out it's just off the 99 freeway across from Bravo Farms

After a few trips to DBTBBBQ in Traver, here are a few of my thoughts. The food is good to excellent. Standing out to me are the Brisket, Ribs, & Tri Tip. My side faves are the Cole Slaw and Macaroni & Cheese. I love the sliced pickles served as a condiment, but I'd like to see some onions served as well. The sauces are good - 1 sweet and 1 spicy. The spicy is also sweet. I would prefer a more savory sauce. Sometimes the meat needs sauce. Like today's pulled pork, which although was flavorful, lacked enough moisture and had to be sauced. The brisket needed no sauce. It was delicious although cut really wrong and could have shown off its tenderness better had it been sliced correctly. Still delicious but attention should have been shown to the cutting of it. When I pay 36.00 per lb. for something, I expect it to be cut correctly. The service is good and informative. I would like to come when it is busy there but so far I've always hit when it was slow The ambience is just as I like it. Decorated in what I call "Barbecue Funky", it brings back the look and feel of the old time BBQ Joints that were so much fun. Country & Western music happily round out the mood. Another little nit to pick would be no ice for the bottled soft drinks which is all they have. Hopefully a fountain machine is in the future plans. All in all, Don't Bite the bone BBQ is well worth the stop or drive (ours is about 25-30 minutes) to enjoy some good 'que. Dont miss the brisket. I'm sure next time it will be sliced correctly. My rating would be 3.5 stars. I'll round up to 4 believing future improvements will occur.

Very good food. Despite it being busy lunch time the food came out fast. Everything was cooked to perfection. The potato salad is smoother than I've ever had, I prefer it chunky but the taste was still there. Try the Texas twinky so worth it. The only thing I'd recommend is them having more drink options. Maybe some sweet tea and lemonade.

We frequently travel up north and have always seen a BBQ rig here but finally stopped in and learned that this place is new. Anyhoo, I'm SOOOO GLAD I stopped by. I bought a plate of brisket, potato salad and chili. I've never bought brisket that didn't need BBQ sauce to add flavor and moisture, so I immediately slathered on the sauce. I get into my truck and taste the brisket and it was freaking SO GOOD! So good I had to go back in and get a second plate and left the BBQ sauce off!! This brisket was so flavorful and cooked to absolutely perfection, the sauce was not needed! Now as for the potato salad, I am very particular about potato salad. Most people add too much mustard or it tastes like vinegar, but this potato salad truly tasted homemade!!! I highly recommend stopping inif you get a chance!!! I know it's going to be a must stop whenever I head up north!!!

The food is amazing with the best choices of BBQ meats. The cornbread side is the best I have had in years. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. What I like best about the ambiance is it is relaxed. I brought in my own home tea to drink. You can also buy bottle soft drink at the counter. Limited hours so make sure you check the posted hours.

We ordered three different types of fries for the table but the garlic Parmesan was the main hit. I got the Santa Fe Cobb salad with the Tri Tip, thinking it would be more fire grilled meat. They basically topped the salad with cold Tri-Tip chunks which don't have a lot of flavor and looks uncooked (but not raw). I only ate a portion of the Santa Fe Cobb salad with the Tri-Tip. If I ever come in again, it's best to build your own 5 ingredient salad, which they allow you to do- so you can choose. We got the mac and cheese and wings which were good. Two people in our party ordered the Tri Tip sandwich with Cole slaw, and that appeared to be the better choice here. They have icecream which seemed to be popular for a lot of people stopping in. Still nice to be able to support a local business versus eating at a chain. Easy to get back onto the highway and journey on.

Stacked it is! Had a credit to use, which made it all the sweeter and i chose a "Double Stack with cheese, went with American Cheese, cause its the best and greatest cheese on a burger. Just my opinion, but its a great one lol. Your choice of toppings, but you can pay extra for other top tier toppings, i just went with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and jalapeños. They do give you the option to add condiments like mustard, mayo and their stacked sauce. Note: the Stacked Sauce does have a kick. So for people who don't prefer spice should stick with the mayo/mustard, or do as i do and get it plain. This is the way. "If you know, you know." I always go plain on a burger no matter where i go lately. I just like to see if a burger can hold its own without any dressings to hold it up and overpower it. Meat, cheese, bun and sometimes a little veggies "preferably grilled onions and jalapeños". This burger didn't need any dressings, but it damn sure elevated it when i dipped it in the stack sauce on my last bite. I absolutely love a spot who's house made sauce gives you something new than just ketchup or thousand island. They do have ranch and bbq sauce also. The ranch is so good! So final total for delivery "including tip" was around 20 bucks. That's really not bad for the prices in today's economy, especially with the amount of food this place gives you. It was so nice I ordered it twice. Two days in a row good! Same order, had to test the odds. The odds were in my favor, the burger was still hot to the touch, juicy, flavorful! The lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and jalapeños all did their job to take this burger from great to outstanding! The fries were very good also. Nice seasoning, soft and pillowy middle with a little bite from the exterior. Overall i would love to come back here regularly. I personally wouldn't like to try to find parking near them or deal with more of the late night drinking crowds in the evenings, so delivery isn't a bad option in my opinion. Food was so good! Absolutely must try if you haven't. Everything is super fresh and flavorful.
