I was driving down from Fresno and just happened to come across Bravo Farms. This was such a fun stop. I walked in to see their cheese factory and was surprised by their different flavors of cheddar. I like dairy products but dairy products don't like me, so I didn't pick anything up this time. The petting zoo was the most intriguing to me. Most of the animals were excited to be fed while others were just hanging out in the shade. Their enclosures looked a little small for them though. There was only one rabbit who was hiding away in their little house. It looked like it could use some grass to hop around in. I wish the hand sanitizer dispensers were filled. Every single one was empty, but I eventually found the restroom to wash off. I noticed there's a dog park here too. I'm hoping I could come back here with my dog during our next road trip. I'm sure he'd enjoy this change of scenery. read more

What attracted me to the spot was the petting zoo, and it was so sad. The bunnies were in bad shape, the fur on one bunny was really mangled. The peacock enclosure is really really small. I felt really really bad. All the other cages didn't seem as bad but then I'm not sure I'm not a farmer or anything. The treehouse is amazing to look at, but the steps to the top are broken inside, so it's dangerous for kids to go inside and climb to the top. The inside of bravo farms is nice and cute! The Associate at the fudge station was a little rude and the fudge is definitely not fresh! The ice cream is very, very, very delicious. The best little tourist trap around! ;) Food: The BBQ restaurant here is quite good, worth the stop! They also have all of your standard sundries and lots of random toys and such, along with ice cream, fudge, etc. Service: Always friendly, and they work hard to keep things moving, mainly the line. There are so many cute farm animals at the petting zoo they have a llama, chickens, goats, pig, bunnies, donkey, pony & a beautiful peacock. .25 to get food to feed them from your hand. I feel like it's a little hidden gem honestly, not busy at all but fun for kids to play and families to stop and eat. It's big enough inside with a gift shop & plenty of restrooms to use. I stopped here on my drive to Fresno. I have seen the signs and have drive. by this place all the time but never made the effort to stop by before. Today I decided to stop to see what it was all about. They make their cheeses here and you can see the machinery behind the glass near the cheese section of the gift shop. They also sell lots of nuts, dried fruits, candies and fudge. The gift shop is quite large and you are likely to find a gift for anyone you know here. The bathrooms were really clean and modern farm style in design. Right next to the gift shop is a restaurant that smells amazing. I ended up buying chocolate peanut butter cups as a gift. This was our first time at this particular location and I actually preferred it over the one off of I-5. The shop is a little bit smaller than the other one, but they still had plenty of local goods and a good sized toy section. They do have a restaurant on site, and plenty to keep your kids busy, including an actual multiple level treehouse. There are even opportunities to feed many of their animals like the llamas and goats. If you venture a little bit farther back in the outdoor space, you will find a slide and seesaw for the kids. If you have dogs they have a dog park to the right side by the parking lot. Restrooms are spacious and clean even with full changing tables! Bravo farms is nostalgic for me. This was a must stop for my mom whenever we'd drive by. We use to go try all the cheese, look at the animals, and of course go inside the tree house. There's a restaurant and saloon and Play area outside with a treehouse, slides, toys, ride ons, and for 25 cents you can get food to feed the animals! There's a gift shop with local cheese, jams, salami, homemade fudge, and etc to munch on. The staff area friendly in the gift shop. We wish we had time to sit down and eat but sure will next time. Saw the signs for Bravo Farms when driving on the 99 and decided to stop. The signs make it sound like an incredible stop but in reality, for two adults with no kids, it was underwhelming and kind of sad. It's located right off the 99 which makes it convenient but it's next to a bunch of industrial buildings so you have to be mindful of semis pulling into the road. The fudge sample was good and they have a nice array of sauces/snacks/dip mixes, etc. The "petting zoo" outside was depressing and worn down. Many of the animal enclosures were empty and the rest were small and not taken care of. It honestly made me sad. I could see how this could be a fun place to stop if you have kids and need a break on your road trip. But if you don't have kids, I don't know that I'd recommend this place. read more

Bravo Farms is always so delicious. On my way back from a trip to Fresno, I stopped by the Tulare Outlets location to get lunch and take a work video call. This was my first time at this location, and it is such a cool space! The tri tip sandwich and fries were, of course, delicious as ever. They have a full bar, a butcher counter, a charcuterie counter, a coffee & pastry counter, a shop full of fun assorted items from art to clothing, and ample seating areas with curated vibes. It is truly a one stop shop for anything you could want. It was neat to see it full of folks hanging out in the various seating areas. I was still able to find a spot with ease which was conducive to taking a work video call. The only challenge I had was not eating my food in too ferocious of a manner mid call, and if you've had their tri tip, you know this was a true challenge. lol I look forward to the next time I'm driving through, so I can stop by again! read more

While driving north on Highway 99, my family and I noticed so many roadside signs promoting. "Bravo Farms". Each sign roadside poster /billboard was different from the previous sign and included pictures of a petting zoo, chocolate factory, a big tree house, gifts etc.. My curiosity got the best of me and I KNEW we had to visit the place. Upon exiting the freeway and approaching Bravo Farms, I had no idea what to expect. As we entered the location, I was truly and pleasantly surprised at the size of this place. It is HUGE!!! And it had so many fun things to see and buy. There was a giant machine making chocolate while we were in the store, and a humongous gift shop offering sooooo many fun, and unique items. Food items, beverages, snacks, cheeses, etc. were also available. There was a large chocolate shop inside offering so many options of chocolate items and free samples, a restaurant, clean restrooms, a patio area with a six story treehouse, petting zoo, doggy park, EV charging stations, and so much more. This place is actually fun and unless you step foot inside this place, you would never know such a cool place exists. We walked out of this place after spending $95.00 on souvenirs, snacks and candies and not a single regret. read more

The place needs some serious TLC particularly the animals and the conditions they are in, The pins are disgusting, depressing and way under cared for, poop piled up and mostly nothing to cool these animals in 100+ degree weather.One pin didn't even have a shade available for the goat. We stopped here while supercharging and I'm so glad Bravo Farms is just a few steps away. It definitely beats sitting in the car waiting for the battery to fill. This cute little shop is such a fun surprise along the drive. They have an excellent selection of cheeses, different flavor fudges, and plenty of little goodies to browse through while you stretch your legs. There's also a restaurant connected to it if you want to grab a bite, and the restrooms were clean, which is always a huge plus on a long road trip. I've always passed by this place and never stopped. I'm so glad I stopped today! I went and filled up on some yummy snacks and tried their ice cream! I tried quite a few of their flavors and I couldn't believe how amazing each one of them were! I ended up getting a Junior scoop of the banana Nut one and I probably will be dreaming about it for a while. I'd like to also mention that the prices were fantastic! This is such a cute place to come and visit as a family or even just if you like to explore on your own like me. I cannot wait to go back and get a scoop of ice cream! We didn't end up eating here, but we did check out the gift shop, the tree house, and the animals. The gift shop had had all sorts of local and small batch items from pickled vegetables and different types of jerky to a wide variety of sodas and root beers. There was also a fun selection of fudge that they make and also cheeses (which they make on location). The part the family enjoyed most the treehouse and animals. Great stop for families (weather permitting). We went in August and it was so hot the misters weren't much help (not the business' fault). It was cool to watch cheese being produced, and there were interesting flavors you don't find in stores. Ability to pick up snacks and souvenirs too. It was a bit crowded and loud with frantic kids. Not the business' fault, but running screeching kids were tough to handle. We got smoked Gouda, Cabernet cheddar, and jalapeño cheddar. The two cheddars were our favorites. We pulled off for a quick Tesla charge on the way to Yosemite at the Supercharger stalls here and ended up staying much longer than planned, and I'm glad we did. Bravo Farms is a quirky, charming spot with a little bit of everything. While charging, we grabbed some snacks and cold drinks from the shop. Lots of fun local treats and unique novelties you won't find anywhere else. It felt like part roadside attraction, part old western trading post. Super fun to explore. We ended up grabbing a meal from the BBQ spot inside, and the ribs and chicken wings hit the spot. Great flavor, crispy wings and juicy ribs. Bonus points for the restrooms: very clean and well-maintained, which you always appreciate on a road trip. This is a great stop for anyone on the road, especially if you're traveling with pets or kids! They have a pet relief area and a little animal pen where you can use quarters to buy feed for and pet some of the livestock - Be advised pets are not allowed inside the store though. They also have clean accessible bathrooms with multiple stalls. The shoppe is cute and filled with all sorts of items. My haul was made up of $3 soft drinks and a few sweet treats but if I hadn't had such a long drive ahead I would have loved to have sampled some of the cheeses and other items they had available. They had lots of unique gift items and you could grab a t-shirt or cap if you needed one. If you have a few minutes, it's definitely worth the stop. read more

OK, yet another Highway 99 food disaster. Perhaps in lieu of trying to find the Holy Grail of semi-independent restaurants along this route, I should stick to the boring, ubiquitous chains. Having heard about this place and also reading about it, I was actually excited to be in the vicinity to stop here for lunch. What a letdown! Let me be clear, there are two Bravo Farms in this area. This one and a newer one in Tulare that on the surface appears far better from pictures and reviews. This one, kinda kitschy, is way too long in the tooth to be open, or in desperate need or a makeover. There's a rather grimy, creepy, and unkempt feel to this entire establishment. There's the counter serve restaurant, dedicated ice cream area, a rambling bunch of funky amusement park type buildings, and a shop full of stale bric a brac, and cutsy stuff to hang up on the wall or to take up shelf space at home. Oh, and lots of sweets and unhealthy snacks too! So, bring your kids! Perhaps nostalgic, yet truly depressing. Sorry, I'm on a roll, yet perhaps this type of place worked 30-40 years ago. After waiting on the line to order and handling the very grimy plastic menu to choose my meal, I placed my order. Bring hand sanitizer. You'll need it. The counter staff was fine, although they seemed challenged to get everything down. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich that comes with a side of baked beans. The order came out in a reasonable amount of time, and my name called to pick it up, but it looked like a mess. The bun was just OK, but the chicken was rubbery and unappealing. No taste, even with all the supposed things put on it, sauce, etc. The beans were awful and tasted old, stale, and very bland, as if sitting around for a very long time. I guess the entire experience turned me off, and I couldn't wait to leave, never to return. Where is the closest In-N-Out Burger? We love the Bravo Farms off of the 5 so we were excited to discover this one a few years back. We love that there's a lot to check out here. There's a massive gift shop with chotchkies, toys, home goods, fudge, cheeses, etc. There's an antique shop, dog play area, kid play area with a tree house and slide. They have an outdoor courtyard for eating and indoor dining area, too. The food is good, also. It's a great pit stop. Now for the sad part. There are several animals here that they keep as attractions that I have often seen living in horrendous conditions. It makes me so sad and while my kids are always excited to see them, I often point out the squalor conditions to explain ways that we DO NOT take care of our pets. :-( They really need someone on staff whose sole job it is to take care of these poor animals. And if they already do have someone, they need to trade them out for someone who cares about animals well being. read more
