    Chicken hard taco
    Pat M.

This is a gem of a find! Based on several reviews, we decided to check this unassuming restaurant and boy, are we glad we did. This is a small restaurant, with 8-10 tables. The woman who greeted and served us was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We ordered the 3 Taco Plate with 2 beef and 1 chicken hard taco. I've never heard my husband say he enjoyed a hard taco before, so that says something. The refried beans were excellent and the rice was perfect. We will definitely return and check out other dishes.

Wow! There is some major Love coming out of this kitchen - everything that came out was fantastic!! ...and we came hungry so we got quite an ensemble of food. The vibe here felt like you're eating at your aunts house - we felt very welcome here. This is relevant because we went to another restaurant just before coming here and there were like 10 tables that all looked like they were waiting for something and there wasn't a single worker to be found in the entire ding room, so we said "No way" and we chose this place...so glad we did. To start, everything here is homemade - including their corn chips & salsa, both were amazing. To start we got some of the best guacamole ($5.99) we've ever had. We could hear him mixing it up in the kitchen and it was amazing! We saw that a lot of people highly recommended the shrimp ceviche ($8.50) which had shrimp, cucumbers, tomatos, & lime juice - and it was really good. Beware that there is a light sprinkling of fresh jalapeños & it was a little too spicy for my girlfriend but it was fresh & delicious. For my main meal, our waitress said her favorite dish was the Huaraches with pastor ($15.99). I had never heard of this dish before but it is beans, Mexican cheese, green salsa & cream served over a homemade tortilla with a generous serving of pastor on the side to add as you like. I was blown away - how have I never heard of this before!!? The taste came alive like a symphony orchestra in my mouth! My girlfriend got one asada taco & one carnitas taco ($3.75 each) and again, the tortillas were homemade & they were wonderful. Especially noteworthy was the asada taco! We would say the carnitas were good, but the asada is simply outstanding & head & shoulders better. Based on the performance of all the food we'd had up until then, we decided to get dessert (since this is our anniversary weekend) and our waitress said the flan and the pan de elote ($4.99 each) were both really good but she liked the pan de elote the best so we opted to try both. She was right - both were wonderful but I think I liked the flan a little better. If you are in the area and looking for a great meal, look no further - you won't be disappointed!

In town to enjoy a nearby day spa and decided to try some Mexican food because why not? The place had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. I didn't know what to order, but since it was a cold afternoon, my partner ordered the caldo de res, which many other tables seemed to enjoy, which I noticed as we walked in . The service was a bit slow because she was also the cashier and over the phone order taker. To be fair, there was another table ahead of us, and she did her best to accommodate us quickly. While waiting, I decided to go with the pastor. You know a place is good if the pastor is delicious! The caldo de res was exactly what I needed, and the spicy homemade salsa was to die for. The burrito was also very flavorful and satisfying. The spot might not look very inviting from the outside, but the food definitely speaks for itself!

New fave Mexican alert! The BEST! Guacamole. Asada. Al Pastor. Yum yum yum!! You can feel the love in here, from the kindness of the staff to the taste of the food. Incredible vibes. As someone else on Yelp said, it's like being at your aunt or grandmas house and that is the feel you get here. That can't be beat. Started off with the chips and guacamole that was like I always want chips and guacamole to taste and it never does, BUT IT DOES HERE. We inhaled it. We got the pastor plate which was off the Chain. Wow!! After slicing off the goodness. The crema Fresca, beans and all the sauce on it was dippable and we were dipping our 2nd basket of chips in there too. The flavors were in harmony with each other and it was a delight. We got 2 tacos to try the fresh tortillas and the meat. The asada is the BEST!!! Whoa. Need to get an asada burrito to just nestle up in there. Flavored to absolute perfection. Also we got the pork taco, ie. carnitas. Well seasoned and melted in your mouth but that asada tho... Raw shrimp ceviche was good but was way too spicy for my blood. But loved the freshness of the cucumber, lime juice, onion, shrimps, tomatoes. Mexican Coke, chefs kiss. We couldn't decide on the flan or the pan de elote so we just had to get both lol. Both were very good. Breakfast anyone?

    Cooked shrimp Ceviche and tacos

I can speak for the items I ordered for breakfast and they are excellent: -ceviche tostada (I got cooked shrimp). You can choose cooked or raw. Appreciate the tostada given to me separately and not under the ceviche. That way it didn't get soggy and can be enjoyed at my own pace -taco plate: comes with three tacos, beans rice. Taco shell is so crispy and good flavor. Dip into the consume soup sauce and it is so flavorful. Salty delicious sauce. Even the beans and rice on the side tasted great -horchata: good price $5-7 for a large tub in styrofoam cup Such kind friendly people who work here! Feels like I'm hanging out with my uncle and auntie and they're taking care of me All tables available at 10am on weekday Free parking lot. Easy Casual ambiance inside with a menu on the wall as well as handout menus

2 Asada Tacos and 1 Asada Quesadilla

I'm from LA and i'd say we have really good restaurants that offer great quality tacos and quesadillas. I was visiting Palm Springs and truly was impressed by the food and how good the tacos were. From the moment we walked in to when we ordered and to us wanting the check. The owner was so friendly and polite. He cracked some funny jokes and made us all laugh. I ordered 2 asada tacos and a asada quesadilla and WOW, it was truly amazing. I had such a good experience with the ambiance and the food and service. I truly had nothing but a good time. My food was great, the service was great, i definitely will be coming back here when i'm in town. I appreciate the hospitality and great food. 10/10 will come back.

Friendly service on a Sunday morning. The Jamaica was really good but brought in huge styrofoam cups to the table & mostly filled with ice. Bummer.I think they do this so they charge you for a large. My huevos Mexicanas were okay, they lacked flavor. The homeade corn tortillas are good. My husband's Chilaquiles were good but very spicy. We don't live in the area so I probably wouldn't be back but we had to come out to bring a rescued cat to Kittyland.

Stopped in for lunch after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint. Very friendly staff and the food is hot and excellent!!! Very quiet and clean.

everything about this place is awesome! the food was delicious. we got horchata, lengua, asada and al pastor tacos (with homemade tortillas that were perfect) and the raw shrimp ceviche was to die for!! if you just get one thing, try the ceviche. The interior looked like a classic mexican restaurant and seemed to be run by one woman who was very sweet. if i am ever in the area again, im coming back.

We went mid afternoon, maybe a bit early for dinner. But there were a few folks who there. By the time we left, the place was filling up. It is a very vibrant restaurant with the colors and decorations. Very authentic feeling. Chips and salsa along with some waters were brought right out. It is a good size menu, lots of items and choices. We tried the grilled fish tacos and a two-item combination. I chose a Chili Relleno and a Tamal. Everything was good overall. The beans and the rice were good. Good flavor and cooked correctly. The entrees were good as well. Not the best I have ever had, but not anywhere near the worst. The Chili Relleno was stuffed full of cheese, had a good egg batter on it and the sauce was flavorful. The Tamal was not dry at all, and had a good meat to masa ratio. The fish tacos were good, not overcooked at all. Maybe a bit bland. The service was wonderful. Water glasses always topped off, the waiter checked in with us several times. Not too many times, but just the right amount. We are very spoiled living in SoCal with all of the Mexican food that is available here. For the prices, the service and food were great. I would definitely eat here again

Unfortunately, you could only select one type of meat. I do believe I did the beef. I was not at all disappointed. They were afraid to perfection. There is more than enough, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. I really enjoyed my meal. I ate every last morsel on my plate. My little one had to taco. They really enjoyed that, but we did order an extra tortilla for them. But that extra tortilla made all the difference. There was just so much meat on that taco that we had to split it up between two tortillas. That's really not something to complain about. The restaurant has very tropical decor, featuring lots of parrots. That was cool. I'm just glad that the restaurant inside was very well air-conditioned. I believe their special for the day was Costillas de puerco with nopales. That would've been right up my husband's alley except he does not like Nopales. Darn. He ended up getting quesabirria and he was NOT at all disappointed. Everything we had here was wonderful. Service was wonderful. We really have no complaints about this restaurant at all. Hopefully the next time we come here it won't be more than 100° outside.

There are way too many items on the menu and a nightmare for inventory and the cooking staff. The menu shows a lack of focus which is often a death-nail for restaurants.
