After hearing about Felipe's all over social media, I FINALLY decided to check it out and what better way than celebrating two birthdays The week before, I called to try to make a reservation for a party of 12, but they let me know it's first come, first served (which honestly wasn't surprising because this place is popular ). So our plan was to show up early for brunch and hope for the best. We got there around 10:45 AM, checked in, and were able to secure a table Even though their posted opening time is 11 AM, people were already seated and being served before that...so they might want to update their hours Service was great! We had multiple staff members helping our table and everything came out smoothly Drinks were REALLY good We got a margarita flight, which was super fun to try! Food was good overall, but I do think there's room for improvement. The rice was a little bland, and the beans were a bit too salty Overall, this place is definitely a vibe Perfect for celebrations or brunch with friends. Parking is easy since it's in a plaza , but the space itself is on the smaller side, so be ready to possibly wait for a table

Héctor the server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu recommendations. This was a few of the restaurants that I would revisit while in Palm Springs.

Tried a Mexican restaurant in Palm Springs and it was honestly such a sweet little experience. The food was so flavorful and came out fresh, and you can really taste the quality in everything. The portions were perfect and super satisfying.

The food was ever delicious, very authentic! Service was also very great! Our server was nice enough to tell me about receiving a free drink if we posted them on IG. Oh, not to mention our server also sang my friend "Las Mañanitas" as it was her birthday! I truly appreciate him as he did make my friend feel special on her day! I really like how they also had outdoor seating definitely recommend and I will certainly be coming back!

Ordered a bunch of food for the New Year's Eve. And then it just still happens to be a one day which they are having a 50% off all Margarita, and that should take advantage of that. It's a busy night so we have to wait for an hour for our food. But $7 for mango margarita and the passionfruit margarita is definitely a really really good deal. Molcajete is a show stopper but is probably more theatrical than taste. It is indeeed very generous in portion and then I don't think two people will be able to finish that. What I loved the most is the fish fillet with shrimp and octopus. Lightly seasoned so fish still tastes fresh and sweet. Rice goes better with its lemony sauce and you still get quite full with all the octopus and shrimp.

Felipe's is a small, cozy spot with closely set tables and a large outdoor patio. The staff were warm and proud of their Jalisco roots, and answer my questions about the menu and how things were prepared. We began with bright guacamole and refreshing hibiscus margaritas rimmed with salt, pepper, and flower petals -- well-made, if a bit slow to arrive. My Carne en su Jugo was exceptional: thinly sliced steak and crispy bacon simmered in a rich tomatillo-and-serrano broth with onion, garlic, cilantro, and pinto beans -- a dish I'll remember. The carnitas were equally impressive: slow-braised pork shoulder finished on the griddle for crisp edges, served with beans, rice, guacamole, pickled jalapeños, and fresh tortillas. We're definitely adding Felipe's to our recommended places in Palm Springs.

We really enjoyed the fast service, quick seating, and delicious food. We really enjoyed the Tacos Lidia and the Shrimp Ceviche. The mango cocktail and Felipe's margarita were really tasty too. Very much enjoyed outdoor seating as well. Nice ambiance.

Everything was amazing here! My friend got the party private room for his birthday and it was a vibe. He paid $200 and it came with first round of shots and appetizers for the table. I also go a tamrindo margarita and passion fruit mojito. Both drinks were amazing. The steak was okay but I have had other food from here that is much better. Just got something basic this time around. Their tacos here are also great. Our server Mario was so cool. He was singing dancing and just so friendly. I love that type of service. We will definitely be back as we are locals!

So so so good! Our bartender was fantastic and the food recommendations did not disappoint! We ordered the shrimp and octopus ceviche, and the quesabirria which comes with two tacos stuffed with cheese and birria and a side of the consume. Ask for the Serrano and habanero sauce if the salsa is too mild for you.

By far the best salsa in Palm Springs only second to El Patio (iykyk) I highly recommend the chile relleno as well!!

The husband and I popped in here for a quick lunch. This is a pretty small restaurant with about 10 tables inside. They have a good drink menu here and the prices are great for Palm Springs. My one big complaint is that our appetizer came out after our main courses. I really enjoyed my taco salad. It was the best I've probably had in California. They fry the shell fresh and the shredded beef was really flavorful. My husband enjoyed his AguaChile and their house salsa is one of my favorites...chunky with a little undertone of heat. Bonus points for them bringing out a whole bunch of their sauces to try. You can tell the staff actually like working here and care about the customers. The table next to us was a little bit wonky, and before the ladies said anything he was off, trying to get napkins to stabilize the table.

Really great food and exceptional service. I had the Filete a la Diabla (seared white fish in spicy red sauce) and it was delicious. It was Wednesday and half off margaritas. Woohoo. It's a small casual place in a shopping center with a patio with misters and a parking lot. I sat inside in the air conditioning. It's not a huge place but has a small bar and maybe 10-15 tables inside. Lots of locals and not in the touristy part of town. I'd go back!

Palm Springs has a night market that happens Thursday night from 6-10 where it brings out people. Food vendors, arts and crafts, gifts and so on. A nice family outing on the main strip. Also all the storefronts are open as well. The thing with something like that, you tend to stand or find a seat along the curb to sit with your food. Hence we finally walked into this restaurant. It was pretty busy when we walked in but at the right time. Got seated right away as there was only two tables available. By the time we were seated, the line was pretty long. It's just off the main strip. Pretty decent size patio which seems to be where everyone was utilizing it as it was nice out. There's a bar area with seating as well as indoor, a smaller room. Service was nice. Water and menu was brought out first then came the chips and salsas. Quite tasty but can be filling if you can't control yourself. Started off with their classic margaritas and the spicy margaritas. There's a few dollars difference from classic to spicy. They weren't that bad. Menu wise, a mixture of all your Mexican dishes. We didn't have any starters as we just wanted the mains. The carne asada plate which came with both rice and beans. I opted for only rice. Thin skirt steak with chorizo, grilled jalapeño and onion, flour or corn tortillas and salsa. And the chicken enchiladas verde with the green sauce. The food was quite tasty. Carne asada plate was pretty plentiful. Nice skirt steak with a nice piece of chorizo. Both were quite tasty and flavorful. Steak was decent and cooked well. Not overly done. Then you have the enchiladas. It's decent in size but not too big. It's good if you're not too hungry. The sauce was great and was a perfect pair to the dish. As it was our first time, it was great. All these place that's been there but you walk by loads of time. Sometimes you just have to try new places out and see what comes of it. Maybe it's a hit. We quite enjoyed it and glad that we finally tried it out.

I was really disappointed with the service and overall experience…read more First, we were never offered water or refills, which set the tone right away. Both my husband and I ordered shrimp tacos. I don't eat meat, so I always choose fish or shrimp as alternatives. The first two tacos I received (fish and shrimp) actually had beef in them. I sent them back and clearly explained that I do not eat meat. I then reordered shrimp tacos and specifically told the waitress again about my dietary restriction. Unfortunately, the second batch came with bacon. While yes, I could have read every ingredient more carefully, I would expect the staff to be more attentive and helpful--especially after I had already sent food back for the same issue. Instead, the waitress lectured me about not reading the menu, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. On top of that, the tacos themselves were not good--overloaded with random ingredients and not at all enjoyable, especially for $23. I left feeling unwell and very dissatisfied. The strangest part of the experience was the hostess at the front. She appeared completely disengaged, staring off into the distance. I tried multiple times to get her attention for something as simple as a napkin or the check, waving while she was looking in my direction, but she didn't respond at all. Overall, poor service, lack of attention to dietary needs, and disappointing food. I wouldn't return.

My fiance and I were in Palm Springs celebrating his retirement and I'd booked a reservation at Melvyn's well in advance. Unfortunately, their lack of service ruined our experience, and we walked out after waiting 25 mins to even get so much as a water. We decided to head to Sancho's and were immediately sat. Our server, Rene, was an absolute joy! He promptly brought us waters, beverages, and the some of the best fajitas EVER. In the time it took for us to walk in and out of Melvyn's, we already had everything--water, drinks, and food. Good thing too, because we were hungry! I can't say enough good things about Sancho's. They are a small business, and the hotel doesn't own them, so I'm sure they've weathered a lot with the loss of foreign tourism and tariffs. The only positive is the decor,it's nice and has a cool Polynesian/mid-century vibe. That's where anything good ends. The service was terrible. We asked about specials as first-time customers, and our waitress conveniently failed to mention the Taco Tuesday deal. Instead, she rushed us to order. We later realized we ordered multiple taco plates that should have qualified for the special, but she never said a word. The food was even worse. I ordered fajitas, and what I was served was completely unacceptable,no vegetables, no resemblance to fajitas, just chopped chicken covered in chorizo and tomato sauce. It was disgusting. I took one bite and couldn't eat it. I planned to send it back, but the waitress disappeared and never came back to the table. I was stuck with it and only ate the sides, which tasted like reheated frozen vegetables and a small cup of beans. Despite barely touching the food and not receiving what I ordered, I was still charged as if everything was fine, about $22 for a plate I couldn't eat. When I finally addressed it, she insisted it was "fajitas," which is honestly ridiculous. To top it off, when my husband asked for a box, the waitress came back after handling cash and used her bare hands, with long acrylic nails,to grab his taco and put it in the container. That is completely unsanitary and unacceptable. Bad service, disgusting food, and poor hygiene. I will not be returning and will be reporting this place to the health department. Avoid this place.
