Looks can be deceiving from the outside because once you get in, it's just cute and homey vibes with good, well priced food. Nothing beats a good sandwich, and I needed something with veggies and got a sandwich (their #1 option, I forgot the name) and it was so yummy. Good to split with a friend and/or grab a full sandwich to take out for later. I loved it so much I went back the following day because I was determined to not spend an egregious amount of money on Coachella food. Support your local businesses! I'll update and/or remove this review when they update their hours. It's annoying and disrespectful to have customers drive all the way out to the location, because posted hours here and on the phone say it's open, but it's actually closed. I'm not even talking about closing early. I'm talking about middle of the day while it's still lunch time and the door is locked with no note of explanation. If it happened once, that would be fine but it's a regular thing which makes me think they have certain days they are fully closed despite posting they are open 7 days a week. read more

I ordered a 12 inch Tuna Wrap today on Lavash. It had Romaine lettuce, pickles, pepperoncinis, onion, tomato and mayonnaise. It was delicious. The cost with a bag of chips was $8.94! Yes, it was all that, and a bag of chips, too The staff are helpful, sweet, and welcoming. The ambiance where the dining tables are is bright , sunny, and comfortable. This is the few spots that were recommended at a nearby hotel I stayed at in Desert Hot Springs. Place was pretty retro with Pac-Man and a few pinball machines. In terms of the food I tried out two subs. Chicken Salad Sub - Was a bit on the salty side but overall it was pretty good. Tons of mayo. (3.5/5) Italian Sub - Got it toasted and flavors were on point. A simple but good sub. (4/5) Mac Salad - I really enjoyed the Mac salad. It had a lot of mayo but the peas really gave it a nice texture. (4.5/5) This spot is pretty solid for subs, especially since there aren't too much good places to eat in Desert Hot Springs. Paying with cash gives you a small discount since paying with card is like a 4% transaction fee. Overall I enjoyed this place for a quick lunch. It's definitely a 3/5 Had this place about 3x total Not sure if I will return at least anytime soon. I customize everything everywhere I go, I take my time to read the menu prior to visiting so I pretty much know what I want and how I want it. If it's not allowed then I completely understand and I just choose something I want off the menu. I think the staff is custom to receiving orders that are already on the menu so a customized order throws them off. It's not that hard to jot down what bread, meat, ingredients, and sauce wanted on a sandwich. I felt like it was a bother and a huff and puff to ask for a side of certain condiments. *note Food is great/ not a healthy food option, but it is great/ tasty! At first I was a little disappointed on the size of the ranch mac, but then when I tried it it was pretty rich so I don't think I could have eaten more than they gave me! The jalapeño cheddar sub bread is soooo good and the chicken Chipotle sub was bomb. Hidden gem! I'm a sucker for a good deli sandwich. I noticed this place by accident while across the street then looked it up when I got home. I love supporting local businesses in desert Hot Springs. I was thrilled to realize it was a sandwich shop. I ordered the large Turkey, ham, bacon on jalapeño bread. Sooooo good! The jalapeño bread is fire!! They don't have it all the time so definitely ask. The large was 3 large pieces. I got a roast beef for my step dad, he enjoyed it. I went back the following week and got the Italian, this time they were out of jalapeño bread. The sandwich was still good but I missed that bread I also tried the ranch macaroni salad. Very delish! First and last time. This place was so unwelcoming. Upon arrival we weren't even greeted. Which we don't mind. I just wanted to try the sandwiches that everybody keeps saying are so good. Ask for the jar of mayonnaise to be left at the table because the sandwiches are more dry than the Sahara Desert. I'm gonna be very honest this was the best damn chicken chipotle sandwich I've ever had. The sauce is excellent bread was excellent. The added jalapeños were spicy! Yummy!! If you don't like it hot then hold the jalapeños. Oh my God this place gets it! NO IT ISN'T SUBWAY LIKE AT ALL!!
