This place took a party of 20 last minute. It looks small on the outside but it actually has a ton of room and has live music on the weekends. I was a bit hesitant as when you walk in and sit down it isn't much to look at plus seafood in the desert.... however I was proven wrong. I got a mango ceviche and it was the best I ever had. The man got fish tacos and he also said best he ever had. My friend got the seafood tower and it was massive. Another guy got the grilled shrimp and they were amazing. This was my third visit to this establishment. I've found the food to be decent and the service excellent. The service was so good this time I tipped 50% of my bill. The problem with the place seems to be the manager or owner. A man acting as if he owned the place came and left while I was dining. All the mariscos were super fresh, the mojarra was CRISPY and well seasoned, my sister ordered a sope de pastor and it was bomb, my mom ordered fish tacos and they were really good. Wow. One of the best meals we stumbled into on this trip! Seriously well done. This is worth a stop! Rivals fancy places we've been. Family run, great service, and the food was amazing. We tried: Tostadas Especial, which was an enormous fresh ceviche tortilla. The seafood was fresh, the marinade was fresh and vibrant. It came loaded with shrimp, octopus, abalone, fish, sea s ail, scallops, and avocado. It was a huge portion for $11.99. Shrimp Empanadas: Our server pointed us to the shrimp empanadas because they were made in house (as opposed to the other empanadas) they came out fresh fried, the filling was great- full of shrimp and cheese and they were topped with lettuce, avocado, onions and sour cream. They were $2/ea and amazing. Fish Tacos: These were battered, served in a homemade corn shell, topped with lettuce and pico. The batter was a little sweet. We really liked them and it was a great take on the fish taco. Particularly good with the hot sauce they brought out. Tacos de Governador: The fresh tortillas showed up again, this time stuffed with garlic shrimp, marlin, cheese, and avocado. The marlin was deep red and seemed light it may be been smoked. These were rich and flavorful. Vampiro- this was an interesting tostada- fresh fried tortilla topped with cheese, marlin, garlic shrimp, avocado, and then spicy mayo- like on boom boom shrimp, or a sushi roll and topped with black and white sesame seeds. If I could I would rate this restaurant ZERO stars ... the service is poor. The restaurant food is very low quality I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Same time and money and go elsewhere. First I ordered a Carne Asada burrito, quesadilla and torta. The burrito had lettuce .... who adds lettuce to a Mexican burrito I would understand for the Torta to have the lettuce but not the burrito. Is Mexican food not a wrap!!!! Second the carne asada or Meat was the cheapest they can get. Full of fat and nerves it was nasty and it barely had any. Third they only give one tiny container of salsa for each item ordered, and you have to choose if you want red or green. How I'm I supposed to decide if I've never been there, courtesy they should at least provided one of each.‍‍Then I asked for extra salsa and they charged $0.50 cents each extra little container of souce. Then the guy who took the order was not nice, inviting or courteous. Definitely they lack customer service skills along with good food. I ended up throwing away the food. Waste of time and money. Holy guacamole this place was amazingly delicious. We were in town at a resort spa near by and we needed a michelada so we googled locations nearby and came across this place. The oyster shots were phenomenal!!!! The micheladas were ice cold and so flavorful. Prices were reasonable too. We got like 4 dishes and 3 micheladas and the tab was only 75. Seafood is hella fresh and they were very sanitary there. The manager was friendly and fast service too. The food was so good we came back the next day for more oyster shots and micheladas.
