    Seafood tower
    Debbie A.

This place took a party of 20 last minute. It looks small on the outside but it actually has a ton of room and has live music on the weekends. I was a bit hesitant as when you walk in and sit down it isn't much to look at plus seafood in the desert.... however I was proven wrong. I got a mango ceviche and it was the best I ever had. The man got fish tacos and he also said best he ever had. My friend got the seafood tower and it was massive. Another guy got the grilled shrimp and they were amazing. They also have probably the best guacamole I have had in a long time. The staff was friendly especially with a last min large group of dirty ballplayers. When in the area I would go back. There are soo many options and not just seafood.

    Torre Mangoneada

We came here twice in one weekend. All the mariscos were super fresh, the mojarra was CRISPY and well seasoned, my sister ordered a sope de pastor and it was bomb, my mom ordered fish tacos and they were really good. The torre mangoneada was really fresh and had like a full avocado in there. Recommend the drinks in the coconuts! I would say the best was the aguachiles rojos but know that they are SPICY lol. The ladies working there are super sweet and they get everything done so fast! Definitely recommend

Wow. One of the best meals we stumbled into on this trip! Seriously well done. This is worth a stop! Rivals fancy places we've been. Family run, great service, and the food was amazing. We tried: Tostadas Especial, which was an enormous fresh ceviche tortilla. The seafood was fresh, the marinade was fresh and vibrant. It came loaded with shrimp, octopus, abalone, fish, sea s ail, scallops, and avocado. It was a huge portion for $11.99. Shrimp Empanadas: Our server pointed us to the shrimp empanadas because they were made in house (as opposed to the other empanadas) they came out fresh fried, the filling was great- full of shrimp and cheese and they were topped with lettuce, avocado, onions and sour cream. They were $2/ea and amazing. Fish Tacos: These were battered, served in a homemade corn shell, topped with lettuce and pico. The batter was a little sweet. We really liked them and it was a great take on the fish taco. Particularly good with the hot sauce they brought out. Tacos de Governador: The fresh tortillas showed up again, this time stuffed with garlic shrimp, marlin, cheese, and avocado. The marlin was deep red and seemed light it may be been smoked. These were rich and flavorful. Vampiro- this was an interesting tostada- fresh fried tortilla topped with cheese, marlin, garlic shrimp, avocado, and then spicy mayo- like on boom boom shrimp, or a sushi roll and topped with black and white sesame seeds. This was a great little fusion dish that was super tasty. We ordered way too much food because we wanted to try and we loved everything. Please do yourself a favor and stop here!!!

Located on the north/east corner of Palm Dr and Dillon Road this small seafood restaurant offers a variety of food choices: sea food, burgers and traditional Mexican cuisine. Service was ok, nothing special or unique, prices $$$ for what you get. Server never checked with us after food was delivered so attention was minimal. We had chilaquilas with beef, beans, cream and try and green sauce. Over all flavor was a 6 of 10. Plenty of parking available.

Every time I get a meal from here I am not disappointed. The shrimp burritos are full of flavor and cooked well. Their aguachiles are tasty as is the ceviche with extra lime (I am a sucker for sour).

Unfortunately, you could only select one type of meat. I do believe I did the beef. I was not at all disappointed. They were afraid to perfection. There is more than enough, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. I really enjoyed my meal. I ate every last morsel on my plate. My little one had to taco. They really enjoyed that, but we did order an extra tortilla for them. But that extra tortilla made all the difference. There was just so much meat on that taco that we had to split it up between two tortillas. That's really not something to complain about. The restaurant has very tropical decor, featuring lots of parrots. That was cool. I'm just glad that the restaurant inside was very well air-conditioned. I believe their special for the day was Costillas de puerco with nopales. That would've been right up my husband's alley except he does not like Nopales. Darn. He ended up getting quesabirria and he was NOT at all disappointed. Everything we had here was wonderful. Service was wonderful. We really have no complaints about this restaurant at all. Hopefully the next time we come here it won't be more than 100° outside.

No water refills after the small water cups were finished. Food and margaritas were a 2/5. Both $16 margaritas tasted like nothing but cheap sour mix. Fajitas (chicken and beef) were chewy and far from freshly cooked. Beans and rice dry. Tortillas were dry too Fun vibe inside but not enough for a return visit with the better Mexican options near by.

I've seen places that supposedly offered it but I get there, it's a whole different concept of it. Well, I may have found one that's worth it. Plus a lot of places do close early on Tuesday's and Wednesday. Also not open those days as they tend to be more mellows. Anyway, we found this place last minute. It's part of a strip mall with a few other Mexican restaurants surrounding it. Once inside, there's a bar to the left right by the door when you walk in. Restaurant is to the right where the main seating area is. There's also a back area but it was utilize for a private party that night. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos. Before you walked in, there's a board that says tacos Tuesday, 4 tacos for 10.00. Thats a deal that's worth it. Either chicken, al pastor, chorizo and buche. Of course that was needed. We wasn't quite sure what buche was so opted out from that. Started off with a cold beer as they have draft and price was quite nice. 2 order of the tacos, one with 2 chicken and 2 al pastor while the other was 2 al pastor, 1 chorizo and 1 chicken. When the dish came out, it was well plated. You usually see just the tacos alone but it was plated with slices of cucumber, radish, grilled onions and grilled chili peppers. Quite nice. And of course I had to try their birra ramen. Seems lately that Mexicans restaurant are incorporating that dish to their menu. I'm also on the hunt for the best...lol... This dish too was quite tasty. Pretty decent bowl full of broth and loads of meat. Served with a side of onions and cilantro and lime slices. The color was nice. Had a dish a while back where the color of the broth was pretty light and watery. This place was nice. The tacos were very tasty both the chicken and al pastor which also had slices of pineapple added. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was goods. Onions and cilantro also added but asked beforehand if we wanted them. Beforehand, three different salsa was brought out, spicy medium and mild. Wow, both the spicy (red) and medium (green) were delicious. The right amount of spicy and perfect for the tacos. Food was delicious both the ramen and tacos. It's with the 10.00 for the four tacos and birria ramen was tasty and delicious. Worth it. Glad that we found this place. And the staff, all very sweet and very friendly. Attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely be back. We got seated at one of the booth which literally looked a lot to the men's restroom. It was fine but not a thing you want to see while eating.

Parking is all around the area but can get crowded because of the other places to eat around there, be patient , people are coming and going . All the dishes we tried were delicious. The scallops negro was a good appetizer along with the crab enchiladas which was a decent proportion sized dish . We had to try the "La Super Tabla" . It's quite much for 2 people but with a party of 3-4 , you'll take it down easy. I like everything on this specific dish except the pork belly. It was quite tough to eat, might have been over cooked but it did have flavor , the pieces were kind of hard . The octopus was flavorful and the steak was very tender even though it was cooked well done , we requested medium rare but it was still tender. The calamari was also a tiny bit tough , it was more like a calamari steak, and a tiny bit chewy. The octopus was delicious , soft not chewy and the shrimp was yum. Last but least, the Flan for dessert. Flan is my favorite dessert and the pistachio flan made here was awesome , it's a must try if you have room for dessert . Definitely will be coming back next time I'm in the desert.

Anyway, we made it for dinner Saturday night. When we arrived, the patio seating was pretty much open as everyone wanted inside seating with the heat going on. They do have the mister on full blast if you wanted to be outside which people did utilized it half an hour after we arrived. There's a couple of hi top tables and seating at the bar area but main seating is the kitchen counter. It's like the chefs table. You're literally watching them cook and interacting with them. I love it there. The service is alway great and the staff are always amazing and friendly. It's like family getting together when we walk in. Of course you have the two brothers Ruben and Ozzys taking good care of everyone. The main counter where we like seats about 10 or so people and it all looks into the kitchen. Love that we can interact with the chefs while dining. But everyone comes for the main thing, the amazing seafood dishes. Would you get seafood in the desert. This place I say yes. Everytime we've been here which has been years, the meal has alway been excellent. And this time was another great experience. We have our regular that we alway go with for starters. The mussels in white wine sauce is definitely a must. Big meaty green mussels with a delicious white wine broth and of course you have to have the garlic bread for dipping. We didn't get any other starters but I do recommend the poke stack, both fresh oyster and grilled. Ahi is excellent with the dipping sauce and if you don't want seafood as a starter, the lamb chops are quite nice. They also have a good selection with their wine list and mixed drinks. I believe it's a full bar as well. Entrees, my favorite is the Ruben specials. Shrimp, crab, scallop, mussels and clams with garlic, basil, tomatoes, green onions in a white wine sauce with linguine. So so good and flavorful. Ozzy special is another favorite but we didn't get it this time. Also it was a first time getting the crab enchiladas. Let me say, it was delicious. 2 hand rolled corn tortillas stuffed with crab meat and cheese with creamy verde sauce and cheese. That's served with rice. Simple dish but so delicious and flavorful. The meal was delicious as always and the company was excellent. Everyone here is the best and the sweetest and friendliest. The locals love it here as they tend to know everyone that walks in. It's a must when you're in Palm Springs. Can't wait till they return around Labor Day which we will be back for another meal. Highly recommend.
