    Shrimp Enchiladas
    Renate H.

Perfect portion for one! Pork Chile Verde: very tender and the chile was spot on, along with the flavorful rice! Shrimp Enchiladas: very saucy and tasty with a burst of lime. Margaritas Skinny & De la casa(small): nice and refreshing. Service: attentive, helpful and friendly [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere: perfect day to sit outside(90 degrees) under the misters and some shade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was enjoying the sun so much (it's rainy season in Seattle) that I didn't even peer inside! I'll come back again if I'm in town!

Fabulous energy and delicious food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is on point![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Appreciated the attentiveness and care from the waitstaff. Love the extra spicy salsa and the shrimps in the shrimp salad were so good! Chicharron had the perfect amount of char. Will be back.

One of our go-to places in Palm Springs is El Marisol, and, once again, it did not disappoint. We visited the original location on Palm Canyon Drive (at the curve where East and South Palm Canyon meet). We were warmly greeted by Gerardo and sat in Coco's section. Both are delightful, genuinely pleased to see us, and always provide top-notch service. I ordered the shrimp in pipián sauce, a dish from the Zacatecas region of Mexico. The shrimp were fresh, but it was the sauce that made the dish. Similar to a mole but made with crushed pumpkin seeds and spices, it had a nutty flavor with a slight kick -- I absolutely loved it. My partner ordered his standby, the chicharrón en salsa -- fried pork belly served in a bright, tangy tomato-and-tomatillo sauce. Both dishes were served with rice and beans. To round out the evening, we enjoyed a couple of their frozen mango margaritas -- large, well-made, and very reasonably priced.

Living in New York City the past 3 years, I have been deprived of quality Mexican Food. The crazy thing is, that sentence is a HOT take if you say that to an NYC native. I've found the hardest thing to explain is the blatantly obvious that everyone has decided not to see. "Well there's this one place DEEP in Jackson Heights..." You've just never been to LA or San Diego, and that's okay. That'd be like me saying LA Bagels are just as good as NY bagels, but I would never say that because I'm not absolutely delusional. All of those two intro paragraphs to say, we came to El Mirasol last night for the first dinner of our family Palm Springs trip. A typical, no frills Mexican restaurant. One bite of these Chorizo Nachos had me thanking god I'm back in the great state of Southern California, where quality Mexican food can be found on seemingly every street corner. The Zo is SO different out here. I went with a large skinny margarita to take the edge off and the Shrimp in Pipián for my main. One of my pet peeves is when a shrimp dish comes with 4 shrimp. I'm a grown man, you think 4 shrimp is gonna meet my protein goals? I felt the good Lord smiling down on me when the dish came with 9 shrimp, mexican rice, refried beans with melted cheese on top, and hand made corn tortillas that were to die for. Not a lot can rival a handmade corn tortilla. This plate was delicious. One of them ones. Had me grateful to be back on the coast with superior Mexican food. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Bienvenidos El Mirasol. Como la flor... Like the flower, sunflower that is. Located on the south end of Palm Springs just past Downtown off Palm Canyon Drive / Avenida Olancha. They have a very small lot on the corner, so if you see one, go for it! We got lucky and got one of those few. Plenty of street parking throughout that is close by. My first time here, but came highly recommended via locals and super frequenters like my boyfriend. My first impressions of this great spot, with awesome service, fun options for comidas (food) y bebidas (drinks) was stellar. Definitely expect a wait on weekends, but not too much of a long one (we had about a 15 minute one and it went pretty fast, a few parties behind us had a little longer). You can call ahead for reservations. The Veggie section of the menu is pretty solid. I had Burrito Vegetariana sin queso. It was pretty nice. Most of the entrees come with beans and rice on the side of your entree. Huge portions of everything, but I didn't eat the rice. They make all their rice in chicken broth and note this as well as the possibility of preparing dishes without rice or cheese/queso at the bottom of the menu. Very accommodating for preferences and dietary needs. We had endless chips and salad between being sat, ordering and enjoying out meal. We had just finished drinks close by so weren't up for Margaritas or anything, but wow did they look awesome. As did the Mezcal, Cervezas, Vinos, Tequilas y Mas. You can try anything from ensaladas to postres or aperitivos, entrees via combination plates and their house specials (Especialidades de la Casa). Nice patio and inside, very spacious place. The jefe (possibly the owner) visited our table and was really kind. Even brought us a refill of chips and salsa. All types of heat levels (mild, medium and hot). Definitely excited to go back and try their cocktails and other offerings.

    Mole con pollo
    Jesse G.

Good, solid, satisfying food. I had the mole con pollo - the mole was outstanding - layered and sweet and a bit spicy. Portions were substantial after a bike ride. I also had a skinny margarita which was prepared well and hit the spot. We sat outside - it was pleasant, with greenery blocking the seating area off from the main street. Service was prompt and friendly.

Side cup of chicken soup with tomato and cilantro, but it's pico de gillo.. $3.25 not what I was expecting. -_-
    Amelea J.

My family always eats here. It's honestly hits the spot every time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service, the atmosphere is cool, but could use an update on furniture - the chairs are terrible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would still recommend this place - the food says a lot.

I've been missing out on El Mirasol this whole freaking time! This place was rejuvenating. My wife and I have been visiting her family in Palm Springs for a decade and we had no idea that there was such greatness here. The flavors, the service, the perfect vibe of Alta California. Loved it. The Pollo en Pipián has been the star of the show here since its opening so naturally I had to have it. Amazing. That sauce dude. It's a tradition of flavors and fresh ingredients that lives up to its reputation. The chicken itself is boiled in a tasty bath of salt and veggies and it complements the sauce perfectly. My wife had the Chorizo Quesadilla and it was one of the best we've ever had. Thank you El Mirasol!

We' here on a friday afternoon. We had a great experience here! The waiter was friendly and attentive, and we were seated right away. I ordered the mole, which was absolutely delicious--I highly recommend it. My wife had the vegetarian tacos, and she really enjoyed them as well. The chips were nice and crispy, and the salsa, while mild, had a good flavor. We also tried the margaritas--the mango margarita was especially worth getting, and my wife's margarita was poured very generously. Prices seemed about average, especially for the quality and portions. Overall, a really enjoyable meal and definitely a spot worth visiting

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Food drinks and service are all top-notch here, and it's a cozy spot very close to downtown but just away from the noise to feel like you're in a little oasis.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very friendly staff. Lots of great flavorful options on the menu, everything comes out hot and fresh. Their enchiladas with green sauce and Carnitas are fantastic, as is the pork chili Verde. The salsa here is super tasty. Cadillac margarita is excellent and freshly made as well. Breakfast menu is great as well- Will keep coming back!

This meant Marilyns everywhere, including the waiters, which made the experience that much more fun. Aside from that, we had made reservations ahead of time thankfully, because it was BUSY. But we were sat just as soon as we had arrived, and despite it being very hot out at the time, they had a bunch of shaded spots with misting fans. The drinks were fantastic, including mine which was a zero-proof mocktail. We all ordered different chicken dishes, and each one received high praise. I was able to try each of them and I was very happy with my fajitas, but I gotta give the nachos their dues. They were just as good. Chips were crispy all the way through, and not one was soggy from all the ingredients. Loved it, will definitely be back when I visit again. Id also like to mention that we chose this place as my friend's Bachelor Party closing dinner, and he couldn't have been happier. He was so thrilled with how the weekend had gone, that dining at Clandestino's really was the cherry on top. Thank you for making our dining experience such a pleasant one.

The only positive is the decor,it's nice and has a cool Polynesian/mid-century vibe. That's where anything good ends. The service was terrible. We asked about specials as first-time customers, and our waitress conveniently failed to mention the Taco Tuesday deal. Instead, she rushed us to order. We later realized we ordered multiple taco plates that should have qualified for the special, but she never said a word. The food was even worse. I ordered fajitas, and what I was served was completely unacceptable,no vegetables, no resemblance to fajitas, just chopped chicken covered in chorizo and tomato sauce. It was disgusting. I took one bite and couldn't eat it. I planned to send it back, but the waitress disappeared and never came back to the table. I was stuck with it and only ate the sides, which tasted like reheated frozen vegetables and a small cup of beans. Despite barely touching the food and not receiving what I ordered, I was still charged as if everything was fine, about $22 for a plate I couldn't eat. When I finally addressed it, she insisted it was "fajitas," which is honestly ridiculous. To top it off, when my husband asked for a box, the waitress came back after handling cash and used her bare hands, with long acrylic nails,to grab his taco and put it in the container. That is completely unsanitary and unacceptable. Bad service, disgusting food, and poor hygiene. I will not be returning and will be reporting this place to the health department. Avoid this place.
