I was told by one I needed a $30,000 worth of work(!), another said I only needed a few things done, and didn't look very thoroughly. I felt totally lost. I had no idea who to trust, what I really needed... and honestly all of my dentist experiences have left me feeling in the dark, hoping that the right thing was done, sometimes finding out it wasn't. With Dr. Blackett, it was like a light was turned on- he explained everything to me, even when I hadn't asked a question. Everything I needed done was explained. As he did the work he checked in every few minutes to make sure I was ok. He told me what he and his assistant were doing each step of the way, so I didn't sit on edge wondering if I should be expecting a surprise. On top of this, he is the fastest dentist I've ever had. Maybe that's because his assistant is very experienced and had everything prepared ahead of time. They obviously made a great team. At every point in my experience it was clear that Dr. Blackett was working with precision and efficiency. He understands the patients position and treats you like a valued client, not a number. If you are looking for a dentist who can handle your nervousness, walk you through things carefully and do things right and FAST, this is the one for you. Today, I had an (EEEEK) root canal, performed by Dr Devin and staff. I'd never had this particular…read moretype of adventure before, so only knew the horror stories I'd heard about pain, pain, and more pain. THOSE OLD STORIES ARE NO LONGER TRUE! After requesting a blanket & neck pillow, I went in, and got a numbing experience, literally. [Did I mention that I HATE needles] A topical numbing agent was dabbed on the injection area, and after a few minutes, a vibrator was turned on in my mouth while the injection was administered. I felt only the tiniest 'pick'. A few more minutes later, a second injection of numbing agent was put in. This time, I didn't even feel the pick. While I waited for that to do its job, I noticed that, on either side of the target tooth, my feeling was absolutely normal; it was as if that one small area no longer existed! Doc Devin and his assistant (I'm sorry, I didn't get her name) explained to me and showed images of my tooth and what to expect. My questions were fully answered. A different kind of image was needed, so I was taken to this amazing machine that talks as it get ready, "ready to capture". But the really FUN part is that while it's imaging, it has these funny burbbly, squirbbly sounds; I felt like I was inside a video game or on an old fashioned carousel! Very cool! To make a long story short, Doc Devin explained the new images and got to work. NEVER DID I FEEL ANY PAIN WHATSOEVER!!! Neither was my whole face numb, only that one area. After my root canal was finished, I went for coffee and did some shopping before heading home. After about 3 hours, even that limited area was no longer numb! So, if like me, you've heard horror stories about root canals, SEE DOC DEVIN! I can't give him and his staff enough credit. They are AMAZING!!!

There are NO options to obtain more information nor to speak with a real person, you just have to leave your information with the bot and hope they check their messages and return your call. I was referred to this office from the VA's Community Care, but I would rather use the money I'm trying to save to replace my roof and make sure my dental issues are competently addressed. I can put tarps on the roof when it leaks, but I've only got one set of teeth and I darn well want to keep them!
