A month ago, while taking a drink of water, a crown that I had for more than 20 years, began to float. Dr Muradian was able to get me in that same day for the prep work for a new crown. Just yesterday, in a short visit, he and assistant were able to install the permanent crown. The dental experience is not my most favorite thing to do but Dr Muradian and his staff make it the most pleasant as possible. Thank you.

While periodontic work is never painless, they do what they can to make it as comfortable, quick and stress-free as possible. The office staff are always honest and helpful. While I have had them forget things occasionally, like sending in a prescription, they're quick to own up to their mistake and correct it. I do have two minor complaints about this office though, which aren't deal killers. One is that they do not process all of your benefits for you. I have AFLAC Dental for supplemental coverage, and their office will not file those claims. They instead insist that I submit these myself. What makes this awkward is that AFLAC will often pay THEM instead of me, so I have to drive back in to get reimbursed. This has happened twice now, and it's inconvenient and a little annoying. Two is just a personal thing. Their office decor is weird, discomforting and a little bizarre. Huge cast figures in gold of human bodies on the wall. Black velour furniture. And dozens of blank white shelves filled with what looks like small round plastic fake plants. It's like being surrounded by an army of chia pets. It's not a warm, relaxing atmosphere, but it's a minor thing that doesn't reflect on their work at all. I'm sure there's a professional decorator in Simi who could fix this in a day or two. Always focused, caring and as gentle as possible. Our 18-year-old son has been coming to Dr. Shindler for a year or so. He's a soccer playing and got hit in the jaw, chipping a back tooth. Dr. Shindler took him in quickly and fixed the tooth. More recently, our son is in college in England, got hit again and had some tooth concern. I called Dr. Shindler to get his advice regarding going to NHS to have them see what was going on. Dr. Shindler was fast-responding to my call and offered his consult once NHS saw my son. The pain ended up going away on its own, but I was very impressed with the caring and lengths the doctor would go to for his patient. Highly recommended!!

I'm sharing my experience to alert patients in the Thousand Oaks area…read more I had a root canal done at this office, and during the procedure a file BROKE inside my tooth. I was told that it was simply an "accident," that accidents happen, and that the dentist had NO responsibility for the additional treatment or EXPENSES . I was referred to a root canal specialist, who ultimately declined to retreat the tooth. For more than a YEAR , I continued having pain while trying to find a professional willing to correct the situation. I finally found one this month. During the retreatment, my new dentist discovered not only the broken file, but also that a root/canal had been missed during the original treatment. I have now had to spend approximately $600 out of pocket on ultrasonic and laser treatment to correct the situation, and I am finally moving forward with rebuilding the tooth and getting a new crown. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. I was told the office had no obligation to help with the additional costs, and I later received a letter telling me that I was no longer welcome as a patient at the practice. After more than a year of PAIN,additional expenses, and frustration, I am grateful to have finally found a professional willing to take on the retreatment and help me get this tooth properly treated
