Food was so good the first time, we came back again for dinner. On this visit, we started out with an appetizer of fried Calamari. It was delicious... lightly dipped in batter and delicately fried. Not over cooked. It was just right. For dinner, my wife got an order of ribs which she loved, and I got the fried Walleye. My dish was cooked perfectly; it was dusted with flour and appeared to be pan fried. The fish was tender and flaky. A generous serving! The young man who served us did a great job. We will be back!

A bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo. I ate this but managed to take a picture before I ate it all.

I cannot believe the difference between last year Fat Tuesday, 2015 and this year 2016 Fat Tuesday. The food is FANTASTIC! Gonna throw some pix on the review. But problem has been, I keep eating it before I take the picture.

We went New Year's Eve for dinner & I honestly feel like they owe me $70 lol the food was awful. I got a filet mignon medium with mashed potato's and I got a strip steak that was cut in half cooked GRAY and risotto? $30 dish of crap. My fiancé got "ramen" and it was supposed to have filet in it but it was the other half of the gray strip steak on top of a clump of noodles...ramen is soup...it was not soup at all. My daughter got spaghetti and meatballs and those were fine thank god. The service was bad too but idk I felt bad for the server for some reason. She didn't cook the garbage food. But she forgot or messed up half of everything. Still tipped 20% because times are hard.So we had bread and drinks and left. Another thing why wasn't there soup or salad with the entrees? We got neither. $70 wasted :(

This is my second visit to Della Terra. I live in Maryland and planned a trip through Zelienople…read moreto bring my husband here for dinner. I'm so glad I did. The restaurant is located in an old bank building and the ambiance here is lovely. We chose the 5 course for two which is chef selected. It did not disappoint. We started with the polenta fries with the tomato basil aioli dipping sauce. The fries were hot, crispy and loaded with flavor. The sauce gave them a nice punch of flavor and was a nice addition. Next, we had the green goddess which included shaved asparagus and snow peas with mixed greens which was a lovely departure from your run of the mill Green Goddess. The lemon zest and ricotta balanced each other nicely. Next was the porchetta genovese pizza. Delicious! The olive oil flavor from the pesto sauce was stellar. We each had a slice and took the four remaining slices home so we could finish the two additional courses to come. Next, the Mafalda Cacciatore, a braised rabbit ragu. The meat was moist and the homemade pasta is the stuff dreams are made of. We finished our dinner with the tiramisu. Left to my own devices, I wouldn't have chosen tiramisu, so I'm happy it was chef's choice. This tiramisu was head and shoulders above all past tiramisu's I've eaten. The ladyfingers were moist without being soggy, the coffee flavor was strong without being overwhelming and the zabione was creamy deliciousness. I'm going to dream about this dessert. I just know it. Our server was Natalie and she has truly perfected the art of her craft. She timed our meal beautifully, described each dish she delivered, and answered our questions. On top of that she had a warm and friendly personality to boot. Finally, I have no idea how Della Terra has a rating below a 4! I'm absolutely baffled. I read a LOT of reviews and I love good food and good service. Both of these things are in abundance here. The ambience as I said is wonderful and their background music is at the perfect level. We were able to have conversation throughout our meal without yelling or repeating. So refreshing. Run, don't walk, to dine at Della Terra tonight! You can thank me later.

Unfortunately, the service didn't match the food. The waitress took our order and the service slowed after that. The broccoli was raw. The cheeseburger was ok; grilled bun, crisp lettuce , melted cheese, $12. Quite the presentation with a pile of crispy fries. The downside: burger lacked flavor . They should invest in a better grade of ground beef. Slices of bread were dry; sliced too soon. The server wasn't listening when I said 'gin and tonic with lemon', she brought it with lime. Her tip reflected the service from my drink to the baked potato and broccoli. And it wasn't even busy! There were three tables filled when we left. Years ago we loved the place and recommended it often. Johnny was in the kitchen serving his fabulous desserts and breads; the best chicken francese I've ever had; really good tomato sauce and meatballs, big salads loaded with vegetables. New managers came and went and are still coming and going. Too bad; it's a really nice building in a good town. Maybe things will improve with the car shows.

I had wanted to eat at Yosteria for the past…read moreyear and a half, so knowing I'd be in town on Friday, June 12, I asked my niece to make reservations for 6:00 PM. We were excited and really looking forward to the experience, especially since almost all the reviews are top notch and the venue itself looked cozy and unique. Unfortunately, our experience was nowhere near top notch. Frankly, it has continued to bother me. So much so that when I saw Alex Zordich, the owner, the next morning at Golden Dawn, I considered saying something. I didn't. He was there enjoying time with his family. But back to the review. We arrived at 5:55 PM and were promptly seated. The menu looked wonderful, the wine selections were intriguing, and the meals at the nearby table looked fantastic. We couldn't wait to get started. By 6:17, no one had been to our table. Not to say, "I'll be right with you." Not to ask if we wanted anything besides water. Not even a simple "Welcome to Yosteria." I finally got up and went outside to ask if perhaps no one realized we were sitting in their section. It honestly seemed remarkable that nobody noticed we didn't have a server. Another 5-10 minutes passed before someone finally came to the table. There was no explanation for why we had been overlooked, but we let it go. Things happen. We ordered wine, and when the waitress brought it, we ordered appetizers. She didn't ask about our entrées, but again, we were trying to be patient and go with the flow. Meanwhile, a party of six was seated next to us. They were immediately greeted, drink orders were taken, and they were served their meals before we even received our appetizers or had the chance to order our entrées. (They left long before we were finished with our meal.) By that point, my brother-in-law, who is an insulin-dependent diabetic, was dealing with low blood sugar. He had sugar pills with him, which helped somewhat, but by 6:45 -- with not even our appetizers served -- things were becoming serious for him. Once the appetizers finally arrived, they were very good, so we were still hopeful. We eventually had to flag down the waitress in order to place our entrée orders, which we finally did around 7:00 PM. Ultimately, our meals were served and we were able to wrap things up by 8:15 according to the time stamp on the bill. We did not order dessert. We just wanted to leave. The waitress said she would comp our desserts, but we declined. She insisted and suggested us take it home. So, we relented. We ordered the tiramisu. We nearly laughed out loud when she brought ONE. I am laughing even while writing this. For the horrible experience we had, the restaurant comped us ONE tiramisu that we didn't ask for or desire in the first place. That is funny and not what one would expect from what others regard as a fantastic restaurant. You would think SOMEONE from management would have come to the table to apologize or thank us for our patience. You would think that someone would have said thank you for coming in when we left. Nope. Didn't happen. Did they think we didn't care because we weren't pitching a fit? I honestly don't know. I am not a mind reader and can't speculate of someone's motivations but regardless, we left a 20% cash tip. It would have been 30% if someone would have cared even a little. Overall, the food was OK. The meatballs and the potatoes were over salted, which is unusual for me to say because I like salt. The pizza was good. The focaccia was good. The roasted Italian sausage was very good. The Pasta Alla Norma was good but better the next day. Bresaola and arancini were good. So, folks at Yosteria, if your goal was to get us to never come back, you have succeeded. If that was not your goal, then I don't know what to say. I left your restaurant sad and disappointed. I don't think if I were the owners that is what I would be shooting for. By the way, the YO VINA Zin was good. I was going to buy a couple bottles to take home but I was so over it by 8:20

I had to leave by 630am so I was in a rush. Now let's address the coffee. It was undrinkable, disgusting. The coffee was lukewarm at best and it tasted like dirt. No flavor other than an overwhelming taste of soil. I'm not sure if the beans are old or the machine needs cleaning but I don't think I've tasted such bad coffee before (maybe at a Motel 6 -years ago). Serving in a styrofoam cup was also very unpleasant. Now let's talk about the cost. This was nearly $11 ($1 tip). I wish I could have gone back and gotten my money back because this latte went straight to the garbage can. So disappointing especially since it's a fancier restaurant in a nice hotel. I've never given a 1 star in all my years of writing reviews. Most times I give the place the benefit of the doubt but this was too awful to not be straightforward.
