The second you just taste the red sauce it like a huge eruption of Flavor you are now hooked my favorite dinner is the Veal Splash Parmesan...Service is incredible friendly and helping make your meal just a touch better...I met the one owner his Brother is other owner ..They took resturant over after their mama passed..Ambiance is so like eating in Italy or little Italy in NY city...they play all the crooner music of the 50s,60s,70s. Love this place ..I live an hr North from Ytown im having surgery there next weeks My wife drives me to my appointments Is how we discoverd this diamond ..My wife and Will have a once a month date night there

An adorable old school family Italian restaurant made my day! My sister in law and I were supposed to go somewhere else and it was closed. We had a wonderful lunch. The restaurant is small but very inviting. I had the medium size wedding soup with 2 meatballs and their amazing bread. My sister in law got fettuccini Alfredo. I loved my meal and she really liked her meal. I would try one of their homemade noodles and red sauce the next time with meatballs. It was a great find!!!

This place is truly something else! It's not fancy. The menu is compact. But that's the fun part! The food was straight forward and good - fresh and hot. Staff was nice and they have a full bar. The tomato sauce is a topic of debate - some love it some and some say it's too simple. It is a pretty straight forward tomato sauce with no frills or thrills. Probably why some would compare it to a canned tomato sauce. But it also might be home made. Who knows. Maybe that's the kick you'll get out of going there. The cavatelli are more like gnocchi in my opinion but everything we had was tasty and hot and fresh. Portion sizes are not small either and we walked out with some left overs. I would ask for a table away from the back of the restaurant since that's where the restrooms are. If you want to share a dish with your date, there's a slight up charge which I wasn't used to seeing before I came here. So this is a place I wouldn't bring my in laws to meet me for the first time or I wouldn't host a business dinner there because it's not fancy enough but I would bring a date or friends or family for surer or a fun laid back meal.

To-Go Plain fish dinner served over shells and sauce, with a side salad and Italian bread.

Scarsella's Restaurant is well known in the Youngstown area for their Italian food. Their pasta and sauce is delicious and in my opinion the finest in the entire Mahoning Valley. Their home-made pastas are exactly how grandma used to make. It will certainly bring back a memory to anyone of Italian heritage. Tonight being Friday, I wanted to try their fish dinner, as I had heard from friends that it was really good. They were telling the truth! I got a good sized piece of plain fish served over shells and sauce. It came with a salad and fresh slices of Italian bread. My wife just got an order of the plain fish by itself. We both agreed that it as the best-tasting fish we had eaten in a very long time. We will definitely order this again!

The service was great...friendly and fast. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. The food was pricey and just average. There wasn't anything wrong. It just wasn't the best Italian food that I've had b

Best restaurant for authentic Italian food. Eggplant and cavatelli are the best. And you can't leave without having a piece of tiramisu.

Nice place. Food didn't meet my expectation; kinda bland. Not tasting the "Italian" in it. Overall, had a good time being there.

I had the jumbo garlic scampi which was good and full of garlic. And also the small entrée Tavola salad it was only three bucks, but surely not worth that. It was good and the full size salad was probably worth a go. The espresso butter cake was very tasty but not $16 tasty. It was very relaxing at the corner of the bar, but still quite loud.

I had to leave by 630am so I was in a rush. Now let's address the coffee. It was undrinkable, disgusting. The coffee was lukewarm at best and it tasted like dirt. No flavor other than an overwhelming taste of soil. I'm not sure if the beans are old or the machine needs cleaning but I don't think I've tasted such bad coffee before (maybe at a Motel 6 -years ago). Serving in a styrofoam cup was also very unpleasant. Now let's talk about the cost. This was nearly $11 ($1 tip). I wish I could have gone back and gotten my money back because this latte went straight to the garbage can. So disappointing especially since it's a fancier restaurant in a nice hotel. I've never given a 1 star in all my years of writing reviews. Most times I give the place the benefit of the doubt but this was too awful to not be straightforward.

Destiny was a terrific server. We enjoyed our entrees (salmon for me and a steak for my husband). The drinks were very reasonable. The salad was generous. I absolutely wish that, I could give this zero stars. My Husband and I ordered takeout, not once but…read moretwice! Both times were absolutely horrendous. Ordered there "famous" Station Square Charred Ribeye and Prime Rib Au Jus and neither of them had any flavor at all. My husband said it tasted like steak from Ponderosa back in the day and he was absolutely right. We also ordered the lamb lollipops that were dry, had absolutely no flavor. The little bit of juice from the lamb had soaked into the instant mashed potatoes, that are underneath?? it's an appetizer?!? They tasted like paste!!! The most flavorful thing we got was the Ajou sauce which I ordered an extra side of it/paid for the up charge and they were extremely rude about it. It was extremely overpriced and nothing was good! We won't be returning. As a young child, I used to eat there a lot with my family, but I see things have changed tremendously.

From the bread and oil to the salad served in the chilled metal bowl with that phenomenal dressing you just can't go wrong eating here. I recommend a few dishes. #1: Always my number 1 go to and what I always order when dining in is the Chicken Marsala. They make it different from other restaurants because they don't do a reduction with their sauce but rather they thicken and sweeten it making it amazing. I order extra sauce which is pricey at $5 for the sauce but it's worth it I feel. Try the potatoes as the side dish. #2: If you like seafood fry their Linguini and Clam sauce. It's amazing! #3: If you're looking for pizza, you HAVE TO get their Brier Hill with extra cheese. Best BH pizza i've ever had. They have a sweeter sauce and I personally like that with my Brier Hill pizza. It's definitely worth trying and reasonably priced. Bottom line, don't let the negative reviews here turn you away before trying for yourself. I assure you if you try their Chicken Marsala or Chicken/Fish Francaise you will not be disappointed. If you don't, I will pay for your meal! Just call my secretary.
