My fiance took us here for my birthday and it reminds me of a hotel bar from the 1970s with their velvet moon shaped sofa dining style chairs and ambiance. The waitress was super accommodating and thorough about the menu options and she explained patiently how everything was cooked and served. My fiance had the chicken parm and I had rigatoni in spicy vodka sauce. Both were so tasty and filling and perfect portions! I was also treated to a complimentary dessert for my birthday by the staff which was really nice of them! Def recommend this place for a special occasion if you're on the strip. read more

Donna Mare is in the Cadillac hotel which is part of Marriott chain. Stayed here for the week. Had the breakfast every morning and first night dinner here. I'd give the dinner experience 5 stars. Had a great waiter who took a good care of us. I got a bottle of wine from the room so we shared at the dinner table I had salmon and coworkers enjoyed the pasta. All were super delicious. Breakfast was the same every day. Services were on or off depending on who you get. We were joking that till the day we departed, we finally figured out what the breakfast voucher truly covers. I love when a hotel has a great restaurant. Although we didn't stay at the Cadillac we visited their restaurant for dinner. This is a beautiful, romantic space and we didn't even need a reservation on a Sunday night. They are open until 10:30 PM on Sundays which was also great. I had a glass of the Kiki and Juan orange wine which is a not too tart white. My fiancé has the Dolce & Banana, tasty and strong. We shared an appetizer and we both had delicious pasta entres. I was glancing at what other guests were eating and it all looked great. The servers were attentive and took the time to answer questions and offer suggestions. For dessert we shared the key lime pie. I like my key lime a little more tart but we still finished it in under 5 min. The restaurant is able to accommodate large parties. They seated a party of 14 next to us, thankfully we were finishing our meal as they arrived. It's a sexy space where most guests are dressed for a night out but there were still guests with children. read more

Based on the previous reviews, we were expecting more from this Italian restaurant. The food was ok, same with the service. Decor was interesting and eye catching. The waiter started by trying to sell us the focaccia (aka bread basket), which felt odd. The wine list was a bit confusing as not all the wines available by the glass are listed as available by the bottle. The velvet booth style seating was comfortable. Finally, a service charge was added, though we were only three people, and the waiter didn't mention it. Not sure if I would dine here again. read more

So here's the scoop. They gotta have somebody Italian back in the kitchen or overseeing every plate cuz the food is very Italian. Like clean, high end delicious fresh pasta, but also salads and big portion apps. Love that you can get half portion pasta. Pizzas were just fire. Simple, Italian tomatoes or somethin cuz this was no Miami or even US type meal. Felt very European even down to the long wait for anyone to take our order. Ha. While staying at the Cadillac Hotel, we enjoyed Donna Mare. We first visited for happy hour and delighted in Prosecco and hummus with crispy chickpeas and fluffy pita. Service was fantastic. Our second visit was for the Continental breakfast. Fresh-squeezed oj, croissants, fresh papaya and pineapple, oatmeal and chia pudding were outstanding. Our coffee was presented in a carafe and was piping hot. The dining room is classy with white tablecloths and velvet furnishings. Very delicious spot. I wish I had taken a picture of the mortadella pizza because it was to die for. The pasta tasted homemade and the tiramisu was perfect! I didn't love the bolognese sauce, but I didn't hate it. It was just ok. We had a baby with us and the server was super accommodating and let us stay and catch up for some time. One of the best Vongole I've ever had. Visited this restaurant as my hotel gave me $50 credit to eat and I am glad I did. I wouldn't have minded paying my own money out of pocket. Credit to Paola who recommended the menus. Vongole pasta was done al dente as I preferred. No sand in the clams. And the best part was the sauce. It had combination of rich clam seafood soup/spicy mushroom/cheese type of broth which added nice kicks to traditional vongole. It would be really hard to replicate the sauce at home. Key lime pie really finished the deal with tangy lime and sweet meringue instead of heavy whip cream. I felt less guilty about getting a dessert. I thought that was a great idea. read more

What a great experience. We planned on only staying for a quick cocktail and snack before going to our room and ended up staying much longer because the experience was so enjoyable. Paola, the bartender, so so friendly and personable. Also she has to be one of the best bartenders in Miami Beach. We had Aperol Spritz, espresso martinis and an old fashion in addition to a few glasses of wine. I highly recommend this place and we are going back tonight because Paola mentioned a DJ on Thursday. Phenomenal restaurant!! Starting with the service from George our server to them making you feel so welcomed and treat you like family. Staying in the hotel of Cadillac we have dined here 2 times since in the hotel. We even brought a guest to have this experience with us. The Executive chef Luigi even came out to speak to us as we told him he has an amazing restaurant and food was spectacular. Made to perfection. Then the Manager came to greet us as we shared her staff has been so amazing. We spent 4 hours just dining relaxing and enjoying the night. There was never a rush with anything. We were pleasantly surprised! We stayed at the Cadillac and ate here twice. This is definitely the best thing this hotel has going for it as the hotel staff is a complete disaster. Make sure u keep the chef because everything we ate was excellent! Being a new restaurant there was not many yelp reviews so we were hesitant. My only complaint was how long it took to get the food but maybe it just took that much time for perfection. Filet was excellent make sure to pair w the mushroom Marsala. Picture this, I sat down calmly to eat my breakfast and relax, but partway through my meal, a skinny male employee with hazel eyes approached me in a hostile and aggressive manner. He loudly and rudely accused me of not having breakfast included, despite the fact that I had already verified everything with four different staff members, including the manager at the front desk. I explained this to him and remained respectful, but his attitude was unacceptable, confrontational, and completely unprofessional. What made this worse is that after I returned to the table to retrieve my room key, I saw that it had been taken. This same employee had taken the key and placed it inside his jacket pocket without my permission. When I asked for it back, he casually pulled it out of his jacket and handed it to me, showing a complete disregard for my personal property and privacy. I felt targeted, and disrespected. The manager told me it was a "misunderstanding," but the employee's actions went far beyond that. His behavior could easily be perceived as discriminatory and threatening, and it made me feel unsafe in a space where I'm staying. I wouldn't recommend that restaurant to a cockroach, the roach deserves better. Just DoorDash your breakfast it's cheaper and more convenient. read more

Food was great as always, but the server was very unprofessional, my fiancé tried to pay for something since I paid for our trip to Miami Beach, well, when she tried to pay her credit card got declined due to outstanding auths for rental car, and the server came back and basically announced to the restaurant that her card was declined, will never come back here, very disrespectful to every degree.
