I reached out to Love Bird with my situation hoping I could at least find something off the rack that would work, because I didn't know what else I could hope for with 4 days notice, and Andi and her team MADE ME A DRESS in 3 DAYS! They fit me in after hours so I could complete fittings every day until I left, listened to everything I liked about the original dress and added details I hadn't even thought to incorporate but made it even better. Not only was it less expensive than my original dress, it is BEAUTIFUL and fits me perfectly. Maybe most importantly their whole team pulled me out of the emotional gutter I was in. I am heading into the last 2 weeks before my wedding feeling calm and so grateful to have found somewhere that made me feel like that mattered to them. At the same time, Melissa and her crew were very frank with me, and if something didn't look good, they told me so (nicely, of course). I had stopped by briefly a week earlier to check out the selection and let her know what kind of gown I need. When I came in to start my search, she had already put a few dresses aside for me that fit my needs. I really like that she let me look as much as I wanted without bothering me or looking over my shoulder, since I like to do my own thing when I'm shopping. While I tried on gowns, she gave me good honest opinions but was not pushy. Everything felt easy and fun, and Melissa was able to give me a good idea of how in-depth the alterations would be on a given gown. After trying on many gowns I settled on a gorgeous fitted number that is everything I wanted! Melissa could see my positve reaction, and she and her associate both agreed that it was the best one I'd tried. Although the dress is reasonably priced, she let me make payments on it, which works for me since I'm a girl on a budget. I would recommend Melissa's to anyone in need of a dress for any occasion (she carries everything from cute cocktail dresses to fabulous bridal fare). She was really helpful in getting me to flesh out what I liked/ didn't like about certain dresses, and helping me trust my instincts. As a control freak, I knew I wanted to plan out details with a vision in mind and hire the vendors that fit with it, but it was just as important that after so much planning I actually got to enjoy my wedding day! As a day-of coordinator Michaela started far in advance in organizing info from vendors and a timeline. She was a huge help filling in the gaps of things to consider for the ceremony and reception (like readings, toasts, dances, etc). She also helped with our walkthrough rehearsal and getting our bridal party organized right before for our ceremony (we almost forgot the rings but she luckily remembered!) on top of that she took care of tons of decor setup and breaking it down to pack up at the end of the night. Her attention to detail meant a lot to me because I had made personal artwork I wanted displayed throughout our venue. She took a big burden off our family who would have had to oversee those things even with some staff support from the venue, because there's just so much to think about!
