    Jerk pork
    Tabatha B.

I usually come to the donnas on my way to work and I always order a medium jerk pork without a lot of fat and this time it was very excessive so they couldn't respect my wishes and they should've just told me $17 for a plate of FAT especially a day before Thanksgiving Not Cool

Curry goat with rice and beans. Oxtail with right rice. and two fritters.

Ordered the large oxtail it looked more like a medium. They only serve the small cuts of the oxtail. And even though she drowned my rice and gravy it was still dry. Also we ordered the curry goat which was delicious but again the rice and beans was very dry. Most importantly what made this experience not so good it was the horrible customer service from the woman making the plates. She seemed irritated with everything I asked. And I just wanted to ensure I got the best experience and the best value for my dollar. On the other hand my daughter loved everything, so that just goes to show that it all depends on who you are and if you'll appreciate a revisit the restaurant.

    Ackee and saltfish meal

I've tried almost everything in this restaurant because their location is convenient. Their curried chicken was very raw and bleeding, ackee and saltfish is more filled with salt fish and maybe a spoonful of ackee, all swimming in oil and it's like this for years. I've had other meals that ended up throwing away. The only thing they cook properly is kidney/liver. Oxtail and curried goat always bitter. The person at the drive through window is not friendly at all. Just shouts at you when taking your order. This place has potential but needs a lot of changes. My most recent purchase of "ackee and saltfish" in this picture.

I i've been here before and enjoyed it today I ordered an ox tail which was $22 for a medium the rice was undercooked and the oxtail was tough as leather plantains were burnt black I don't know what has changed cooks or owners but I'm not planning on coming back there to spend my money again

Delicious food. Ordered a medium portion of curry and as you can see from the photo, my plate was stuffed so it felt like a large. Amazing.

Oxtails with peas & rice with salad and plantains

These oxtàils were everything tender juicy and flavorful sticky goodness. The prices were a bit high but I definitely got my money's worth of food. They really loaded my plate with peas and rice oxtails with a gravy sauce veggies and plantains though there was only 3 small plantains sticking together and they weren't fresh tasting. Absolutely could've used some pizazz on the plantains they were quite bland. One would think that a drink is included with their meal considering the prices but it was separately priced just under 2 bucks for a bottled ginger beer (not my favorite). Fresh is best!!!! The service was speedy and the cashier though she never smiled was very honest giving me back the overage of change I gave her in a hurry. I shall be back overall it was delicious island food.

This Caribbean Jamaican drive thur restaurant is a quick and easy way to get a home cooked caribbean meal on the go. You can also dine in if you like. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have tropical natural drinks like coconut water, sorrel (a hibiscus flower),ginger pinapple etc. I ordered the oxtail lunch special that came with rice and peas, 2or 3 sweet plantain and salad. They give you a good portion I ordered a medium and couldn't finish all I saved some for later.

I ordered a large oxtail dinner in the drive thru and when I opened it at home I only have 3 pieces of oxtail and little bit of salad. Very pissed off large oxtail is $15.99. Never again!!! All the gravy was inside the bag not the plate idk what happen.

This restaurant deserves a way better rating than what they have now. The food is always good. The service is great as well.

The service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The Mofongo was absolutely amazing--I had never tried anything quite like it before. My wife ordered the Pork Belly Mofongo, while I went with the Crispy Roasted Pork. Both were incredibly flavorful, and the combination of the crispy pork with the mofongo was fantastic. We also ordered fried Dominican sausage, which was delicious. My wife's friends had the salmon with rice and oxtail with mofongo, and everything looked and smelled amazing. One of my favorite surprises was the little pieces of crispy pork inside the mofongo. They added such a nice texture and extra flavor. The mofongo itself was hearty, savory, and very satisfying. For dessert, we ordered the Baked Sweet Coconut. I was already completely full, so I skipped it, but my wife tried it and said it was a little too sweet for her taste. One thing to keep in mind if you're dining with a group: since we were a party of five, an 18% gratuity was already included on the bill. We also noticed a 3% credit-card processing fee, so if you want to avoid that extra charge, you may want to consider paying with cash

Island Tings in Miramar definitely delivered if you're craving real Caribbean comfort food…read more I ordered the curry chicken and it was exactly what you want from a spot like this. The chicken was tender, well seasoned, and soaked in that rich curry sauce. It came piled over rice with veggies and potatoes mixed in, and the flavors were deep and authentic. You can tell it's the kind of food that's been cooked slow and done right. The portions were solid too definitely a filling meal. Perfect if you're hungry and want something hearty. The restaurant itself has a cool island vibe inside with the beach murals and bright colors that make it feel relaxed and laid-back. The setup is simple cafeteria style, so you move down the line and pick what you want, which keeps things moving. If you're in Miramar and want real Caribbean flavors without the fuss, this spot is worth the stop. Good portions, flavorful food, and a chill atmosphere.

I got there late in the afternoon so I understood why there was no more soup. Nevertheless, I was committed to trying to support this business and tried again on another day. I got the "manish water" soup aka goat soup. I got all the way back home and there was no meat in the soup. Bc I never had it before, I wondered if it were called man-ish bc maybe it seemed like goat soup but didn't actually have goat because my soup had no meat. I calmed and asked if it were a vegetarian option. The clerk said no and agreed to give me another soup. I told her o would be back in the area in a few hours and thanked her. When I got there, she was upset o did not bring the soup back with me. That's crazy alone. But even crazier... she went in the kitchen and came out with 2 pieces of "meat" in a cup. Disgusting service. Absolutely disgusting. They will NEVER see me again. That's not how you treat customers.
