If you decide to come here, ONLY let Kenny do your nails. The owner was the one who had time for me today...BIG mistake. She wasn't listening to anything I wanted. I wanted pink french tip and she said it wouldn't look good with my skin tone so then I decided to do brown then she said I would look "old lady hands"...I didn't ask for her opinion. She then proceeded to do my nails...the shape was horrible, the design, her customer service was horrible. I started crying from how upset and mad I was. Kenny stepped in to fix them but I was already there for 2 1/2 hrs I wanted to leave. Kenny did book me in for a later time to fix my nails which I greatly appreciate. I went in for a fill and a design. They lied to me about being able to do designs after I already got my fill. I offered to just pay for my fill in and just go get my nails painted somewhere else but they insisted they can do it, which they actually couldn't so I had to go with a simpler design which was disappointing and not what I wanted to spend my money on. I don't have tips on I just get acrylic overlay on my real nails. I got the film January 24 and and it's already lifted on one of my fingers the polish is chipped off I don't know if they use cheap polish primer or what but I will not be going back to this place! I am so disappointed, especially because I looked at the pictures and the reviews and that's why I feel like sometimes people write their own reviews for their businesses in these nail salons because ain't no way! read more

This place is wonderful the staff is great I see Tina but anyone can do a manicure and a pedicure but Tina she really can help you with your pedicure tell her what's going on and she will fix everything I've been going here for years it's very close to my home the price is right I make an appointment sometimes I wait not very long I read magazines. I recommend you go there and try am out they're not super big they're not overwhelming if they can't fit you in they will ask you to come back if you don't have an appointment or if you're a walk-in they do take walkins it's just very cozy and the family feeling. Tony did terrible work on the acrylic set I asked for; not only did he not paint the nails enough he only did a rough one coat and a rough two coat. He didn't clean or trim the cuticles or nail bed. He glued the nail to the side skin of the nail where it's hurting and really painful to pinch. read more

This is the worst manicure I've ever received. The whole experience was a zero, but at least one star is necessary. I selected #50 Gel polish. It was supposed to be a warm medium grey-brown. I selected it as the closest to what I was wearing. Instead, I got orange- pink which looks terrible with my skin tones. Not even close.. I spoke with the owner...no one there speaks English very well. As the tech was putting on the color, I mentioned that the color did not match... the owner said something about 2 coats, so being unfamiliar with the brand, I thought perhaps the second coat or the curing light would change it to the color I selected. No one there is English-fluent. I doubted her explanation but it was too late to stop. As I questioned her more, she said that after a few days, it would become the right color. Huh????Also said that the sample was on white plastic, and my nails aren't white, so that's why the colors did not match. Double Huh???? That's not true. The color should be spot on immediately. BS. I think the whole bottle was mislabeled and I couldn't get that point across. Also, the curing lights are way too small. I have size 5 1/2 hands and pushing both my small hands into the light caused one of the nails to smudge. The tech tried to fix it, but there's a dent. The owner got angry with me and said that next time we'd choose another color. What I got IS NOT what I chose, so I won't be back. If this color doesn't match the sample, I have zero confidence that next time will be a different experience. The owner was not interested in pleasing me, and would NOT look up from her phone screen as I spoke with her. I just wasted $38 including tip. I almost asked her to take them off, but removing gel 2x on the same day would be unhealthy. So, I'm stuck for a couple of weeks. Besides, my cuticles had just been trimmed, so the acetone would have been painful. I can deal with a technician whose English is limited if I get a professional job, but I didn't get what I wanted and no one seemed to care. STAY AWAY! read more

I wanted to try a new nail place, so I went to Donna's. I'm pissed off because it felt like I was there forever. The young woman who did my nails did an okay job on my feet, but I hate my hands. I know she felt like I was cracking the whip on that @*$, but she really didn't know what she was doing. When I am paying $50 for my hands alone, I will have a bit of an attitude when you don't know what you are doing. My nails are clumpy and I have to spend more money at my real nail shop to fix them. She just could not get the shape of my stiletto nails right. My thumbs look like bird claws! If you just stick to the basics, you might be okay at this nail shop. The peso was just a regular one but the tech rushed the job and cut my nails way short. Also in their rush, they jammed one of the tools in my nail bed. I've tried this place several times and unfortunately never came out happy. I needed to come back one time because my eyebrows were completely uneven. After fixing them, they still didn't look good and the lady who made them look bad wasn't happy to correct her mistake. When it comes to nails, the place is affordable but isn't worth it. They basically just paint your nails and let you go home. That's not a pedicure! My toenails were not cut well, they were in weird shape that made them feel scratchy. First of all... let's just start with the fact that the bowl you sit your feet in to get a pedicure had things floating g around in it like it was not cleaned properly. I've come to Donna's Nails for about a decade now. I've always went with my mom to get a mani/pedi and we've always loved the massage chairs, hot towels, and the calming experience. However, my last experience here wasn't the best. As an insecure girl, who bites her nails, I was getting quite criticized about how short my nails are. I understand that it is a bit harder to put nail polish on shorter nails, but they definitely don't need to repeat that over and over again. My nail tech also forgot to put my flip flops on before painting my toenails, so she had to carefully try and slip my toes through, which was definitely a difficult experience. She kept getting frustrated with me that I wasn't keeping my toes the way she wanted (I definitely was trying!) And after a little polish got smudged, she took a deep breath and said she would fix the second coat during the manicure, after the first coat dried. So she started the manicure and ended up getting on her hands and knees to fix it. To add onto it all, I got questioned by two different ladies about asking if I was getting my eyebrows waxed. When I told them I wasn't interested, they went silent like I wasn't making the right decision. I was quite content with my eyebrows, but after I was asked that twice, I really did start to feel a little self conscious. I'm sure they just wanted to make a bit more money, but for a young girl, it can definitely cause them to feel insecure. Nothing against this nail salon, I've went here several times and it's been great, but this last time I went just wasn't the nicest. They were quite packed and I was a walk-in, so I'm sure they were overwhelmed, so props to them for that! read more

Lets get real, almost ALL asian nail ladies are pushy DUH! So just accept this fact of life and learn how to say No. I love Donna's they're much more affordable for my college student budget. Its not as big as other places so hence its not as crowded, which makes it a tad more relaxing. Also the TVs arent blasting in your ears which means again I can actually relax and receive a mani/pedi. better priced than the other places, better atmosphere than walmart* I give it four stars since its a good middle of the road. read more

Been here on multiple occasions and always as a walk-in. Never had to wait a very long time and always received great service. Someone always says hello when a customer walks in the door, and every time I've been in at least one regular customer comes in that the ladies all know and know what they want done. My mani/pedis have always turned out nicely. They usually will ask if I want some kind of waxing done, but this is not my favorite place to get waxed. If I'm in a pinch I'd go, but the waxing room feels very makeshift and the process feels a bit rushed. read more

One star because the technician was nice. However I can not recommend because the quality of work was horrible. I requested manicure with gel polish and showed a picture of what I wanted. After I left I noticed I had polish on my cuticles and my nails were bumpy. I was going to try and live with it but the gel started chipping the next day. I went back and showed them my nails and the technician insisted they were painted correctly. She said they do not look like the picture I showed because my fingers are different. I asked them to remove the gel. It was painful. She roughly scraped off the gel and used the drill for pieces she could not get off. She also filed many fingers oddly. I have never had a problem with Donna's and have been going there for about 2 years on and off among other salons. It is very clean and I've never needed an appointment, but I do not see anyone specific. Walk-in service is always fast and I've never had unprofessional techs. The basic pedicures are a great deal for around $22, I usually go for the sea salt which is a few dollars extra. The massage chairs are up to date and add a nice touch to help you relax. My toes have always been polished nicely, and it really seals the deal when they use the brush and acetone to get any excess off (thank you-praise hands) one of my pet peeves. A regular mani will run you around $12, gel mani about $32. Yes there is a charge for taking off gel. If you haven't realized to do this on your own before hand, then suck it up with the cost. Almost every salon I've been to charges for this $5-10. There is only once that I've had an issue with my gel mani and my thumbs not curing all the way, chipping the day after. I went back to Donna's when I noticed the issue and was taken care of without charge right away. I've never gotten services on acrylics or for anything other than natural nails at Donna's, so I cannot recommend. read more

Donna's no longer does hair; it's only a nail salon. I just went there recently and hadn't been in about a year and a half. I was disappointed to find out that they now offer a spa pedicure that has lead them slack on the regular $20 pedicure. They didn't massage my feet or legs as they usually do nor did they focus on the details of my cuticles. I would head to City Nails in Rose Hill next time, even though it cost $5 more, the cost is well worth it! read more

The second and last time I went for a manure wasn't the best experience I've had. The technician raced through my manicure and it just wasn't a pleasant experience. DO NOT GO HERE. You can read the reviews here and think, "oh, she just must be cranky". But I promise you, I'm not. My natural nail manicure ($12) took about 10 minutes and completely peeled off every nail within 3 hours of leaving. Was unable to return to point this out so I called the next morning when they opened. And called a few hours later. And then the next day. I asked repeatedly to speak to the manager to have this refunded and got the run around. "Oh, I don't know... She's not here" - "Oh, He's off today" and then finally this morning the kicker, "Well, he's not coming all weekend, so you need to come in and just let me redo it." Um? Why would I go back and get a horrible manicure, AGAIN!? So I explained that I would simply like a refund. Much more, "come in, I fix" and I repeated, "No, just a refund please." AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME. So yea, shady business practices and SUPER NOT professional. STEER CLEAR. There's plenty other nail salons that will do your nails properly and show common decency. read more
