Welcoming and friendly staff, made my first visit memorable. They were very helpful. The donuts were delicious and I will be back.

I've been here twice and this place is great. There is 15 minute street parking alongside a paid lot and paid street parking. The inside is cute and quiet with a few patrons inside chatting or working. On my most recent visit, I ordered the banana foster (I think), the butter beer, and some sort of caramel flavor. The cashier was so fun and personable. The donuts are standard size and packed with good flavors and textures. 3 donuts were $10, which I thought was great, especially when chain donut shops are charging comparable prices for donuts that aren't as quality as this. I'd definitely recommend, and I will definitely be back!

This is my 2nd time visiting Donnie's! While they are known for their donuts - which I haven't tried - their black coffee is delicious! I find that many places don't invest in GOOD coffee and rely on syrups and other additives to carry the drink. My 2nd time at Donnie's was just as good as the first - plain, black coffee for the win. The cafe is also conveniently located just off the BeltLine but easy to get to. The seating is ample and comfortable. Perfectly location for sitting outside during or pleasant day or snuggling inside listening to the playlist. A must visit for sure! If you try the donuts, let me know what you think .

Grab a "Homer" donuts from Donnie's for the first time and it was a banger. It's located at Highland Ave in a decent location. They have a big variety of choices and coffee. We just had coffee so didn't get a chance to try it but it looked tasty considering they had a cool slow drip system for them. I definitely plan on going back after trying the donut. It was delicious! Dare I say one of the best donuts in the area?

A couple-owned local donut shop, serving 'made from scratch' cake donuts and handcrafted drinks. Setting: Located across Bomb Biscuit and an 8 minute walk from the beltline. There's ample parking and comfy seating. Service: We met co-owner Patti and she was the sweetest. You can tell they put a lot of love into their craft. Sweets: The Snicker's donut had a delicious peanut butter and chocolate flavor. The Homer was soft and delicate with sprinkles.

Great classic donuts! I'm a fan of the old fashioned cake styled donuts that are served here. Cinnamon sugar is a tasty classic treat. Love the hibiscus tea which i tried in the recommendation of the cashier who provided great service.I believe the tea is called the purple haze.

(3.5 stars )The service lady that helped me was friendly. I was curious to see how their donuts tasted. I had an apple fritter style and a southern belle. They have 2 price ranges. Classic and modern. I got modern. The donuts taste light and fresh pretty good. It's a unique situation for the most part. Nothing too phenomenal or mind blowing, but the attitude and environment is good in my first experience here. Did not get the health inspection score. I might stop through again for a Samoa donut. The service lady didn't fill the OJ cup to the top and said she HAD TO add ice. I didn't like that. It comes off as cheap, but other than that the experience was fine. I would advise anyone visiting to make sure their cup is full. And reject the ice if they don't want it.

Clockwise- Maple, sprinkle, salted caramel, and lemon blueberry.

There isn't anything subliminal about this establishment... the smells of sugary greatness are vented to the outside of the building and you can smell it in the air for several blocks. There is no neon flashing sign needed- it beckons you in immediately. Our server was very helpful and answered our questions with detail. She helped us chose 6 different donuts to go. We were thrilled with the flavors and freshness!

Okay wow! These donuts are something else! I'm no donut connoisseur by a long shot but from time to time, I have massive cravings for them. Today was that day. I drove by Donnie's Donuts the other day and was intrigued. Thankfully, they were available on Door Dash and quickly ordered. They have tons of options but I ultimately opted for combo #6 - comes with a fruity pebble, apple pie, cinnamon roll and maple bacon donuts. I haven't had the chance to try all four flavors but I did start with the apple pie. First bite, the donut itself was not greasy and has a cake-y texture. The caramel topping is quite sweet for my taste but loved the apple topping. I would say it's more of a caramel apple donut than apple pie. I didn't really get any hints of cinnamon and spices.

We stopped in after a race to grab donuts. I'm not a fan of cake donuts but I enjoyed the sweet potato donuts. They were super moist with a slight crunch on the bottom. The Salted caramel chocolate was my favorite out of the 3 that I tried. The cheesecake with the apple was pretty good. I would have enjoyed the key lime better if it was on a sweet potato donut. The donuts were $1.90 for a single. The prices decrease with the amount of donuts that you purchase. The service was quick and friendly. It's a cute spot and there's seating inside and out.

Biscuit sandwich with egg, cheese, and sausage

Just walked out of Donnie's and oh my gosh I think I just discovered my favorite biscuit sandwich in the city. The homemade biscuit with cheesy eggs and a sausage patty (I added a lil hot sauce too) were top tier. In a city getting viral bagel shops, absolutely loved this place's vibe! Quality food and very nice service - she walked us through the coffee options and answered our questions. 10/10

Atlanta's donut scene is on the up and up, and I am thrilled to add Donnie's Donuts to my list of favorites (Revolution Doughnuts, Hero Doughnuts, The Salty Donut, and Sub Base Dandy Donuts). I found Donnie's Donuts while I was waiting on my carryout from Bomb Biscuit, which is across the street. Originally founded in Florida by Donald and Patti Summerlin, Atlanta is now the only place you can find these cake-based donuts. They showcase 15-20 types of donuts daily, ranging from the simple, vintage flavors to modern flavors such as sea breeze (salted caramel), banana pudding, and strawberry shortcake. Everything is house-made and made with non-GMO sugars. The customer service is wonderful--the staff is friendly and willing to offer suggestions and insight on the donuts and beverage options. To top it all off, Donnie's Donuts has a very cool vibe. The dark, industrial vibe and vintage furniture invite one to hang out with friends and family. Our half-dozen box included cinnamon sugar, cinnamon sugar sweet potato, peanut butter cup (chocolate, peanut butter, peanut butter chips), sand dollar (cream cheese, cinnamon streusel, powered sugar), french toast (vanilla maple, cinnamon, powdered sugar), and maple bacon. These donuts are decadent and fluffy (for cake donuts). Donnie's has frosting in place of glaze, but I appreciate its appropriate level of sweetness. I look forward to trying other donut variations and their beverages. Donnie's serves fair trade organic coffee, tea (from a female co-op in Thailand), and blended drinks.

The interior (and exterior) is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless. I believe this shop is an offshoot of the Kaldi's brand. The line can get pretty long but the two baristas working on this day were strong and able to get people in and out. Service was efficient and friendly, but they do show warmer interactions with people who are clearly regulars. Can't be mad at it. I got a strawberry matcha latte and a bacon/egg/cheese which apparently comes on a bagel and isn't customizable at all. Matcha was good -- typical more than anything. The sandwich was pre-made slop. Fake egg, limp bacon, flavorless and doughy bagel. I would have skipped on this entirely had I known they were going to grab a bag from their grab-n-go section and put it in a microwave. Totally not worth $9. Skip unless you're starving and simply need the calories. Luckily they offer a discount for anyone who works in Ponce City Market, which is sweet and made me feel better about that horrible sandwich. It's a great place to sit and people watch if you can manage to grab a seat.

Backdrop: My partner and I were in town for a photographing event and stopped here due to my affefor botanicals. Service...started off absolutely horrible! We walked in a grabbed a high top in the bar area. The tender (that resembled Ms Badu) was more interested in her friend and boyfriend than serving us. After the lack of acknowledgement I went and stood at the bar, for about 5 minutes. Finally, a look (of disdain), but nothing more. I went back to my partner. We discussed leaving. I walked back to the bar, after approximately 20 minutes after entering this establishment she finally decided we weren't leaving at took out order. After seeing a shift change, we decided to stay and order food. Beyond was the new rep for the business and this he was the best person for saving this from a 1 star review! There was the appearance that he genuinely cared for his customers. We weren't special, he treated everyone with the same upbeat courtesy! "Beyond", and, what I presumed was the owner saved the experience/vibe . Overall this a unique venue, as it's the only kava bar that actually serves food. Though I was a participant, there appears to be special theatrical events upstairs. The restaurant and bar is separated if this is important to one's experience. There are plenty of board games, if this maybe your thing. Food: Good, portions a bit small for price, for the type of food - 4 stars Beyond (staff) - 5 stars! Food server was amazingly courteous. Gave off owner vibes - 5 stars! Botanicals (quality) - 3 stars Kava - 4 stars Parking: paid if you don't want to hike in the heat! 3 stars Beyond should be the metric for all future hires! Thus shop is doing all things right!…read more Let's start with how we got here ! A friend sent me a picture of a Tik Tok picture featuring an ube latte! I responded with - when are we going? We decided we would wait until the weekend since we would have to drive from Cobb county to the city. I started doing some research and did not see ube latte on the menu. I called the phone number listed on yelp- but it appears it is just a cell number and went directly to voicemail. I went to the website and found an email address. I sent a basic question/ do you have an Ube latte on your menu? To my surprise I received a response! This simple response was exhibit A that they don't play about customer service On Saturday morning I arrived to the shop around 11am! The coffee shop is a neighborhood spot! As such, you will just have to find street parking in the neighborhood. I ended up parking a block away. This place was crowded! I did have to wait in a line. However, I enjoyed checking out the item for sale while waiting in line. The book titles had me laughing , this is your go to spot for a unique gift! We ended up ordering the following: 1. Hot Matcha latte with ube and oat milk 2. Hot ube latte with oat milk 3. Cheese danish NOTE: I did confirm that the matcha they use is NOT pre- sweetened. This is a huge plus in my book!! The item came out quickly. All items weee served in to go containers. I am not sure if this is just standard practice even if you are dining in. We were able to grab a table outside! However, this place was crowded and open seating was limited! My matcha was AMAZING! It was not too sweet, which is how I like my matcha. The cheese danish was also delightful. My friend said she enjoyed her latte too. I will note that I did not taste the Ube flavor. This coffee shop is a vibe, but also serves yo tasty drinks and treats! I would highly recommend checking this spot out !
