Place is clean , staff is helpful and kind . I ordered the bacon , egg, cheese and jalapeño bagel . I do wish they offered egg whites .. The bagel sandwich was fresh and steamy . I ordered a side of tomatoe and how amazing were they, they seasoned them for me , salt , pepper and sesame seeds (Awesome) I also wish for dinning in they offered ceramic cups for your coffee. Definitely will be back to try the supreme avocado toast .

A friend and I went here after our walk. We got some coffee and breakfast. I got their Trail Blazer coffee (green tea matcha, almond milk & espresso). She got their MSOB(AKA). For food, we split the Bagel Salmon and Avocado Toast. We added eggs to the Avocado toast for an additional cost. Worth it! Their avocado toast has a unique flavor than what I've had before. I was pleasantly surprised to taste lemon. It definitely added flavor. We enjoyed our food and drinks. Service was good! We ordered at the register. Our order came out quick. They brought our order out to the table. There's option to sit inside or outside. I'd come here again to try other things on their menu the next time I'm in the area.

Donny's cafe was a pleasant place to have a quick bite. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating area and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. They also had bird feeders hanging outside and we saw hummingbirds! Service was welcoming. And the food was also delicious and affordable! They do not skimp on their ingredients. I tried their matcha latte and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the matcha and drink itself. Definitely would recommend visiting :) They've been around since 1995 and I can see why. They've been doing everything-- including their amazing customer service! ;)

This place was a cute stop before beginning our San Diego trip. I was craving a lox bagel so bad and theirs was pretty good! The avocado toast was just okay it was a little hard to eat because of everything just on top of it and it's sliced avocado. The eggs were a little rubbery. The employees were sooo nice! Super attentive and great service. I would make the stop for their lox bagel!

Salmon bagel, 10/10 delicious and fresh. The location is nice with plenty of parking. This was my first visit as I was on the search for the perfect bagel sandwich. I will definitely return because service was very good and quick. I did not have to wait very long for two salmon bagels. It's nice and quiet if you're wanting to enjoy a bite or a cuppa.

I tried this place for the first time, and I was happy with it. I got the Tuna sandwich, which was yummy (although, it could have been seasoned more). The jalapeños weren't fresh (they were from a jar/can), but the sandwich was still good. I just wish that they had pickles. The service was excellent-very friendly people! The ambiance peaceful and small-I see why they have "regulars!"

Absolutely love this cozy little coffee shop! Their sandwiches are packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients and taste amazing every time. The cold brew is perfectly smooth and refreshing--easily the best I've had. The friendly atmosphere and great service make it a recurring coffee shop we love to visit. The breakfast sandwiches are underrated, Donny & Grant never fail to make us the best drinks & food.

Stellar service as usual! 2nd to none! Donny and Grant are top notch! Anyone who hasn't been here is missing out! The food is delicious and the coffee is great!

I've been here a couple of times and every time the food and drinks are so delicious! I've had the avocado toast before and it was good! Donny took my order and he recommended The Gus which was a yummy peanut butter smoothie that wasn't too thick. The bagel with salmon is also good and not too salty.

What is the average wait time on a weekend for example, I've been there twice in about 3 months, but never able to keep waiting, first time waited in line for 45 minutes with just 7 people in front of me, and the second almost an hour, we left?

I wouldn't doubt for a minute that's your experience. I've been there mostly on vacation weekdays, so the line goes pretty quickly. I have noticed that there is a 2-person operation. One takes orders and gets the readily available item served, while… Read more

The ambiance inside is so nice, with a long velvet/velour bench and some comfortable chairs and solid stone looking tables, they have put some thought and effort into their aesthetic. But of course we come for the food and drinks, right? So they do have a pretty good selection of sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Their drink menu is also quite good and they also have their signature drinks and food. The place is always clean and neat, and so welcoming. My favorite sandwiches are the grilled cheese and the roast beef. I would have the roast beef more but I have to watch what I eat or i get gout. I love this place as they are so accommodating and also listened to some of my suggestions. When they first opened up they would just serve their sandwich with no side, just the sandwich. But i will say that they do charge a fair amount, and for that amount it would be nice to have something else on the side. So my suggestion was to either derive a little house salad or some chips to fill out the plate and to add some texture to the meal. And to my surprise the next day they had added a little salad to the meal. And might i add I really don't like salads, but this one is very delicious, and adds a bit of different texture and some acidity to your meal. The drinks are nice and are made right there. They are always served in nice glassware if you are drinking there. I am not a big coffee drinker so I usually will go with a chai or some tea. I love that they will make it either hot or cold to your liking. I was a bit worried when they started up, as i thought that this was not a good time in the economy to open up a business. But they are doing remarkably well and they are quite busy most of the time. I love to see a place doing well, so when we climb up the stairs to go to work, we have a nice start to our day to see all the happy people inside eating and drinking. I wish they continued success, but I know they have found their niche and a good formula for success.

We parked and noticed nearly all the lights were off. The pastry cabinet was empty, the tables were taped off. But people were inside and customers were in line. Emotions and energy were low, it was quiet and dim vibes all around. We walk in and see just one man working the cashier and making the drinks. He looked puzzled, a bit lost. We get in line behind someone ordering 4+ drinks and see that this guy didn't really know how to make the drinks. He was misplacing the ingredients and wasn't fully confident operating the payment system. The back counter was cluttered with miscellaneous gadgets, appliances, and syrups. It took nearly 20 minutes for the customer in front of us to get from ordering to receiving their drinks and we just watched in slight awe. The guy was apologetic and upfront, he was trying his best in a bad situation. They made some small talk and hinted that they were closing due to supply chain disruptions in Hawaii. I feel for them and wish them well. The coffee itself was ok. Flavor was decent but somewhat unremarkable. They offer different caffeine levels, up to I think 400mg in a drink. I just got the 200mg coffee. Don't know if I just built a tolerance but I fell asleep right after. We did want a pastry but with the baked goods cabinet empty, we weren't sure what they had left to offer. There was a long sign listing everything sold out between the pastries and coffee flavors. Overall the experience was odd and left a slightly bitter emotional taste in my mouth. They've acknowledged that they weren't in the best condition at that point and I do feel unfair to judge them at their worst. If they turn it around, I'm opening to revisiting. But for now, I don't feel compelled to go out of my way for it.

While it's true that outlets indoors did appear few and far between, the seat itself was super comfy and could even recline. The interior aesthetic is comfortable and inviting, with calm whites, hints or green and brown, and plenty of space and seating. I worked for about 15 minutes on my laptop while waiting for a photoshoot I was hosting nearby. I ordered a cold brew to get a second quality check on the spot before leaving (I always do hot americano and cold brew first to check a new coffee spot's baseline). Both the americano and cold brew were really smooth, with balanced and consistent flavor profiles and a lot of depth. Good body on both, too. Overall, I give Home Coffee a 4.67/5.
