On this Saturday morning I waited in line at 10:47 a.m. I scanned the QR code that said the coffee order would be ready by 11:05 a.m. I had issues with online ordering and ended up waiting in the long line and finally ordering my two coffees at 11: 12 a.m. At 11:23 a.m. I went to the pick up line just to see if I had missed my order being called. I saw my two hot cups in between several cold beverage cups! They still hadn't started my order! Needless to say, the wait in line then wait for the coffee was excessive. They only had two employees working and they weren't very efficient. Our coffees were delicious, which is why I returned, to Home Coffee, but 45 minutes is really unacceptable! May I suggest hiring more staff? They also could've been a little friendlier and apologetic, but they didn't seem to be concerned about the long line and long wait times. There was also a guy standing there talking with the two employees so maybe also don't be distracted with friends (he didn't seem to be working).

Love this coffee place located in National City. It is located in a shopping place with other businesses, next to a church with lots of parking. Place is big and has lots of tables where to sip uour coffee and/or work. Service is super fast, at least for a Friday at 11am. They have your regular coffee options plus some interesting Signature Drinks. They have a Charcoal Latte which has an interesting combination, really good but on a thick side of coffee. We ordered a regular Latte and their signature coffee Promise Land (with half the sweetener). It was delicious and with perfect touch of cinammon. They do offer some pastries.

When I'm in National City, Home Coffee is my go-to for coffee and to do work outside of the office. The servers are always friendly, and take care in making each drink. My favorite is the Promise Land, which is made with espresso, honey, milk, and cinnamon. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but i really like the decor and vibe inside. It is very common to see students and work from home professionals posted up with a laptop. I've never waited long for a seat and I enjoy the wide variety of cafe music they play, especially the 80s classics station!

The coffee is delicious! I love when they have speciality drinks. The baristas are always so friendly.

A lot of past reviewers note a lack of urgency in the staff, distraction by their friends' conversation, and a lack of charging outlets indoors. I had a pretty good overall experience on my first visit to Home, and didn't experience any issue with the customer service at all. There was a short line when I arrived, so it took me about 5 minutes to order--not overly slow or annoying at all. I was greeted by a friendly cashier who took my order and I sat down nearby. While it's true that outlets indoors did appear few and far between, the seat itself was super comfy and could even recline. The interior aesthetic is comfortable and inviting, with calm whites, hints or green and brown, and plenty of space and seating. I worked for about 15 minutes on my laptop while waiting for a photoshoot I was hosting nearby. I ordered a cold brew to get a second quality check on the spot before leaving (I always do hot americano and cold brew first to check a new coffee spot's baseline). Both the americano and cold brew were really smooth, with balanced and consistent flavor profiles and a lot of depth. Good body on both, too. Overall, I give Home Coffee a 4.67/5. It's pretty solid on a lot of fronts, though I agree about the lack of outlets inside. Recommend checking out when looking for a good cup of coffee in National City.

We were craving Vietnamese coffee and found Home Coffee located in Sweetwater. The location is near LA fitness and I remember this place used to be an arcade center back in the early 1990s. We're glad that we found this place as they have a lot of selections of coffee. We tried the Vietnamese cold brew, banana cream latte and banana Matcha. The place inside is well kept and the staff members were very nice and welcoming. All the coffees we ordered were very refreshing. The sweetness is balanced and love the texture of the cream on each one of them. Price is also affordable. We will certainly stop by again next time.

Stopped in to Home Coffee the other day on my way to work. Although the coffee was delicious, what stood out most was the incredible customer service. I unfortunately dropped my coffee in my car when leaving (bad day for anyone) but I desperately needed the energy boost so I went back in to re-purchase and the sweet barista remade it for me on the house. They also offered a rag to clean up if I needed it. They also wrote this sweet note on my cup. I will definitely be back! I got the Iced Lavender Latte with Oatmilk... delish!!

afternoon for a quick pick‑me‑up. They're running a February specials menu, so I ordered the strawberry matcha with oat milk and upgraded to ceremonial matcha (which costs extra). The matcha itself was okay, but pretty bitter -- even for me. It didn't seem fully mixed, so the bitterness was concentrated at the bottom. The strawberry cold foam was very minimal and the flavor was faint. The space, however, is nice and big with plenty of seating, which is great for groups. They also make drinks quickly, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Still on the hunt for that perfect matcha.

I wish I would've come here sooner ! I got their iced black coffee and can confidently say it's so good. When I found out it had charcoal, cocoa, and coconut oil, I was definitely on edge at first - not gonna lie, but one sip in and I was completely sold. I fell in love fast. It's bold, smooth, and surprisingly balanced. I think I'd been here once or twice a long time ago, but I honestly don't remember what I ordered back then. All I know is this drink had me hooked and already planning my next visit! The atmosphere is super nice and welcoming, and the space is big, open, and roomy it's perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. Definitely coming back for more!

Home has been on my list for a while now, but I'm hardly ever in the area. But today, I was! So I made sure I stopped in before my shift. I decided to order something from the seasonal menu. (Blueberry pancake latte) and when I tell you it was sooooo good! It's like if a blueberry poptart and coffee had a baby, but not too sweet or overwhelmingly blueberry. It was perfect! The staff was so sweet and welcoming. The place itself is huge with great natural lighting. There were a lot of people in there with laptops, I was surprised! Seems like a good place to do homework or gossip about work drama with the girlie pops. will definitely be back!

Immediately docking a star for no disclosure that this is a church cafe. Owned by the church. This should be on the company website clearly for people who want to go or not want to go because of it. Just seems misleading to not mention that. Anyway, let's get to the business at hand. The space was very cute. The interior was a bit small but there was a nice patio that said, the freeway noise was extremely loud from there. Now on to the food + drinks. I ordered the "Promise Land" latte and a chocolate muffin. Neither were bad, but they were just "meh" docking a second star for that.

    Tahitian Vanilla Latte
    Kimmy K.

I ordered the Tahitian Vanilla Latte, which is one of the drinks they're known for. Overall it was pretty good, but I felt like my coffee was a little too warm when I first started drinking it for being an iced latte. It is a very aesthetic coffee shop with lots of tables, making it a good place to study. It can get very busy and loud, but doesn't feel too crowded due to how spacious the coffee shop is. There is plenty of parking as well.

The ambiance is nice, but the drinks can be inconsistent. Sometimes they're really good, but other times they're disappointing. Today I ordered a matcha, and the color was off. It tasted mostly like milk instead of matcha, which was disappointing.
