I tested the metal scale by placing 2.0 # of aluminum cans on it. The scale read 0.0 # Can prices on the west coast move up and down from 55c to 85c at Donovans .. the price hovers at 20c for years and years. aluminum ingot gets ~ $1.79 in another state their employs call it " extruded aluminum" and pay 20c a pound .. when I recycle in another state .. I got $25 to $60 at donovans I get $4 to $15 The yard is full of nails, broken glass, sharp things I got a flat tire, non reparable, my 1st visit. I asked the office to replace with a USED tire for this old truck [ mike's ? ] sect said 'NO' and hung up they suck .. they cheat .. and now charge $1 to walk the yard .. when I recycle in another state .. This place is a joke and a rip off. If at all possible go some place else. Worst scrap yard I have ever been to in my 37 years of junk, salvage yard hunting. I called them on the phone for a part and they said I have to come and look for myself. So I drive 12 miles there, and told them that they said for me to come and look for myself. So they say sign in and it costs a dollar to walk the yard. After telling them that's crazy I never heard of such a thing, I asked if I get it back if they don't have the part or do they deduct it off the price. No. Reluctantly I paid, walked out in the yard, and nothing. There were hardly any cars. I talked to the yard man, and he said I got punk'd. When I called they said they had a couple of the cars I was looking for parts from. Don't waste your time with this place! read more

Hands down the best salvage yard I have dealt with. Called ahead to check availability and parts where ready upon arrival. Customer service was top notch. A little confusing when first arriving at the front desk, but the staff was swamped and busting their butt!!! Will defiantly be back!!! read more

I called on the Phone for a specific Part to a vehicle named in the call. I was told they had the part and when I asked for a 2nd part to same vehicle they said they had such vehicles in their yard and I could look for the item. When I arrived I noticed no other white educated men as patrons there. When I approached the counter and told the man what I needed he said, you had called me earlier? I said yes, He then ignored me and took a call, while I waited. He said I would have to pull the part he said earlier was in the shop ready for purchase. So I paid and entered the yard going to where the man said such vehicles would be. Upon arriving the place in the yard I noticed NO vehicles like the one I have and need parts for. The Business is not professional whatsoever. They either don't know what they have or I was discriminated as I am a Gringo in their eyes. If you have time to waste and don't mind going to a filthy place that is poorly organized then go ahead. But being educated as I am I would never use such a business. I should file a complaint for discrimination. read more
