This business is negligent and is costing me 14,000 for a new engine. If you get serviced here. BE CAREFUL. I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler I purchased from Preston Millsboro. I started taking it to MeGee because they were closer to home. I have been coming here for several years, spent money as I regularly serviced 2 vehicles and yes, I always paid for whatever extra recommendations they had. I had an oil change 5/2/2024, my fan started kicking in loudly on 5/15. Called them and explained what I was hearing. They said bring it in. I immediately got a rental since I work in real estate and NEED to have a car. They get my Jeep in, call me back and say there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Jeep but they recommend changing the spark plugs, trusting them, I tell them to go ahead and change them. When they say its ready for pick up (Friday), I voice my concern again because spark plugs (in my mind) have nothing to do with a fan kicking in loudly (usually means something is getting hot right?) The guy laughs at me and tells me (annoyed) that there is nothing wrong with my jeep and that the noise is normal making me feel dumb for voicing my concern again. So I said ok.I picked it up and the very next day I am driving it to my appointments and the fan kicks in again and now the temperature gauge is in the red. I slammed on my breaks and pulled over going 60mph on a busy road. SUPER DANGEROUS.... but I manage to pull over safely, shut it off and get it picked up my Preston Millsboro. Once again I have to get a rental vehicle. Preston takes a look at the Jeep and tells me within the hour that they have discovered NO COOLANT in my Jeep and now a blown head gasket and other interior leaks due to overheating. I said how? that is impossible it just had an oil change and I took it back to MeGee because of the fan noise and they assured me it was fine. The tech at Preston asked me if they checked the COOLANT ? (I didn't know) he then said... maybe they never put coolant in it when they did the oil change. I have to replace my engine which is going to cost me $14,000 and MeGee is taking no accountability and they cannot show me or tell me that they actually checked my coolant or if there was some issue when the oil change was done. They are not answering my questions. I have filed a complaint anywhere and I can because this is unfair, sexists (treating me like I am just a woman and don't know what I am talking about) and totally negligent. They put me and possibly others in danger by not doing their jobs correctly and now simply ignoring the fact. BE CAREFUL. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

My jeep wrangler has been serviced by Megee since moving to Delaware. Yesterday I called service (Tom) because I had low tire/security light issue. He suggested stopping in and to ask for him. Upon arrival, he was available - we together reviewed the issue in the vehicle. He had service check it out and I was out of there in less than 1 hour - no charge. Simple issue. THAT's service! Great sales experience to start out . The sales person ( Katie ) was all about selling the vehicle to us and getting the deal done. However after my wife went in f/ her first service visit f/ the required oil change things were much different . My wife had asked f/ the tires to be rotated and checked f/ proper pressure, which is the norm at each oil change. she also informed the service technician that one of the tires was losing 2 -3 psi daily if he could check it. Long story short . The tires were never checked or rotated nobody cared. I called my sales person ( Katie ) to voice my complaint and her response was , "that's not my department let me get you over to service ". At which point I got someone's voice mail, I left message and never got a call back. So we took the vehicle to Mr. Tire and Meineke and were told there was a nail in the tire and it needed to be replaced . Unfortunately I had to go back to MeGee to get a matching tire otherwise I would have bought it elsewhere . So the question here is, had the service department checked the tire as requested could this issue have been avoided? The end result is a new tire had to be purchased on a new jeep w/ less then 8000 miles . Nobody cared my sales person ( Katie ) was just your A Typical sales person in the end, she did everything to get my business but nothing to keep it. Our salesman was very nice in helping us. Our Jeep was a good deal. It was in a small wreck and also had 6 window chips and cracks in it. The vehicle was still in good shape. We were told that it would be replaced. They gave us paper saying repair or replace which was fine (knowing it needed to be replaced). Then a technician from Safelite auto glass came to inspect the glass and advised me he had never seen this many cracks in a windshield and it should be replaced. I was told to call back and schedule an appointment. As I did Safelite got the Manager Chris on the phone and in a three way call to finish appointment. He then yelled at me (literally..... even the safelite rep had to apologize to me for his behavior) saying he was "not going to replace the windshield and that I needed to stop doing what I was doing and trying to get the windshield replaced!" After I explained "I was only doing as instructed by Safelite" the manager hung up and said he was going to talk to someone else. Not only was I embarrassed...... Being a business owner in the area I will NEVER recommend Megee motors. I will also be sending my review to the local paper to advise people on how rude they are to you after they get your money. I have never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my life. The professionalism and amount of disrespect after I was only doing what the sales rep and what Safelite told me to do. The manager Chris needs to learn how to talk to human beings especially ones who know about 50 business owners in the area and would have come back to purchase several more vehicles for our company. We will take our money to someone who appreciates it. We were told by three people in Safelite the integrity of the windshield is compromised and needs to be replaced and Chris is attempting to do everything he can to not have to do that. To save a couple hundred bucks?! Thank you for your hospitality to everyone except the man in charge. They may need training on how to respect customers and not yell at them on the phone. Hoping to get an apology from manager and to do the right thing. I may change my rating do to the professionalism of the other employees there. He ruined our experience. read more
