Two entrees and one side. Chowfunn, orange chicken and zucchini chicken.

They open at 10:00am and the service is fast. We came in early so the noise level was low. The food was good and seasoned just right.

My husband got the same, salt pepper "fish"... all breading no fish.

It is 1 something in the afternoon, my husband and I thought we'd grab a simple lunch with our kids. We've had Don's Chinese Kitchen before and their food is usually ok nothing special, but for the price it's what we decided on today for our big family. Today was not their day I guess, food was overcooked especially their char sui was hard and chewy, food was partially warm and the most disappointing was their salt and pepper fish which was mostly all breading and hardly any fish. And I'm pretty sure the manapua my daughter got had mold on it, there was greens spots on the bottom of the manapua so she didn't eat it (she threw it away before I got a pic). Pork hash wash bland and tasted old like it's been in the warmer too long or reheated. Well this may be the last time, I wish they were consistent with their food; after spending almost $100 I think we could've had better. Thanks but no thanks.

I spent $50 on a flavorless meal after a long day of hard work. Really sucks when you work really hard for your money and choose to support local, hoping that they have a passion for the food they make, I was super disappointed when I got home to taste nothing but grease. I ordered the roasted duck, beef chow fun-- which only had two small pieces of meat, and the crab won tons, which only had cream cheese and no crab. I initially asked for duck sauce or any sauce that would make it more flavorful and they said they had none. I called to let them know, and they had no way of making it better. I grew up going here when we were craving Chinese food and used to be good, it's either under a new ownership or whoever is in the back cooking just doesn't care and it shows.

Crispy roast duck is fresh and juicy, and the shrimp fried noodles are deliciousDon't miss it when you walk by.

Eggplant & tofu, chicken & zucchini, chow fun.

I I don't get why the reviews are bad. The quality of the food has improved so much since the new owners took over.

While visiting Waimea on the Big Island. I would occasionally stop to eat Chinese food at Parker Ranch Shopping Center foodcourt. This was one of my dads favorite Chinese eatery. Most of the times I at here in the past the food was tasty. Unfortunately, today the food didn't have as much flavor. I had a mixed plate. 1/2 order chow mein 1/2 order chow funn, sweet sour pork, and roast duck. The noodles was good but the sweet sour pork especially the roast duck lacked flavor.

Dons is a quick easy fresh Chinese food takeout food Restaurant conveniently located in the Parker Ranch shopping center. Last night a mini takeout half and half rice and Chinese noodle noodle with two choices of meat Set a fortune cookie in Chopstix for less than eight dollars I recommend this place not only because the owner Ellis is my friend but it's convenient is always fresh and the prices are affordable

The taste is still good, you can eat a lot of dishes, and many flavors are worth trying, and the price is reasonable.

This location seems to have better quality of food than their Kona location. Located in the Parker Ranch Center food court, it's a convenient place for grab-and-go food. It's what you would expect from a food court restaurant: not terrible, but not spectacular. Service was also average. The food is good for their prices. We ordered their chow mein, beef broccoli, and orange chicken (basic, I know - but you can't really go wrong!). I do like the quality of their food better than the Kona Don's Chinese Kitchen. It tasted fresher, like it wasn't sitting out for very long.

I was disgusted by what I found in my plate. I can't imagine how much other roaches and bugs was in the food. Gross

Best Chinese food I've had on the Big Island, no contest…read more The sizzling chicken was the highlight. Super tender, incredibly juicy, and full of flavor in a way that's hard to find. Every piece was cooked just right. I don't usually write reviews, but this one earned it. If you're anywhere nearby, it's worth going out of your way for.

We got there and they greeted us politely and I only waited another extra 5 minutes before the food was done. Everything smelled great driving home and we couldn't wait to eat. Okay the food...all pretty much tasted the same with the exception of the vegetables and proteins that were used. Anything with vegetables had sooooo much more vegetables to protein, and for example my mother in laws shrimp with broccoli was super sad. In the whole ala carte item of $19-$21 were a Manini 8 small shrimps swimming in sauce and broccoli. Same went for the chicken and mixed vegetables! The dried chicken with chilis had 8-9 pieces of chicken for the whole order ala carte. The only thing worth the price was the general tsao chicken, which tasted just like the orange chicken with a little tiny zing we got the day before. We gave this place two tries only for lack of options in the Waikoloa Village area. If this were on Oahu, nobody would come here. The food all taste the same and the protein is almost non existent in pricey ala carte items.
