    Vegetable Ramen with Tofu!

Da Ramen Kind was a healthy, fast, and delicious alternative to the food court options at the Queen's Shopping at Waikoloa Beach. The service was friendly and attentive!

The ramen didn't have much flavor, the portion was small for the price, the egg was over cooked.

I am so happy that my husband & I got to experience this restaurant while in Hawai'i. For starters, we ordered their special lobster salad (with lobster, mango, avocado, and pickled hearts of palm) and their mushroom side dish. Both were absolutely packed with flavor, and the lobster salad especially included very new flavors for us both. The mushrooms were out of this WORLD! For entrees, we ordered the spicy lobster ravioli and their mushroom side curried macadamia nut fish (swordfish). Each bite was a little taste of fishy heaven for both dishes. We are so happy with our visit here, and cannot wait for the opportunity to come back and try more amazing, home-grown food. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

It was served with purple potato chips. It was a great combination of sweet, salty, and spicy tastes. We also got the appetizer size of the lobster ravioli. I loved this dish. It also had a bit of chili oil and creaminess in the sauce. Main dishes were great! I loved that they offered a choose two option. I so often struggle with which dish I absolutely want. Merriman's makes it easy. You get glad dishes of two options. My family loved and took full advantage of this option. My daughter got the island beef and the lamb chops. She preferred the lamb chops to the beef. My husband got the island beef and the catch of the day. I got the fish special that came with a spanakopita. It was delicious! I loved the flavors.

We love Canoe House so much that we planned our son's wedding party dinner here and BOY did they deliver! We had a party of 20 which meant a pre-fixe menu. Normally I'm not a fan of those, but Jonathon made the entire process so easy planning and executing. Everything was perfect! The view, the setup, the service, the staff, the timing on courses, the drinks, the communication, and the star of the show, the food! 5 stars. We all felt like royalty. Everyone raved at all I just mentioned, the food was ridiculously good and the presentation of it was just as good. The flavors are exploding and they all danced together in your mouth like a symphony. The bread is non-negotiable. It's a show stealer. The fried rice is also amazing and raved about by so many reviewers. The appetizers were stupid good: lobster tempura, sashimi looked like art and tasted like perfection, along with the ridiculously good shishito peppers that were devoured. The Short rib though was the show stopper and everyone and I mean everyone could not stop talking about it! Holy Cow! Did I mention the location and views! I kid you not, it looks like AI on a screen, but it's real life. It doesn't look real, and yet... it is... perfection. Everything and every detail was perfect. They deliver that excellence every time to every table. The food is always on point. The service is always on point and the view is better than the mind can fathom (if you haven't experienced it yourself). Do yourself a favor and invest in making a memory at Canoe House.

She just won it all, so make reservations :) The restaurant offers indoor and patio seating. You can't go wrong either way. We were on the fringe of the indoor seating so it was easy to go out to take sunset photos. For appetizers we got oysters. They were delicious and delicate. For mains we got the whole grilled lobster, lamb chops, and tenderloin. The lamb chops were some of the best I've had. They were seasoned very well and grilled to the right temperature. I loved the mint salsa verde that came with it. The steak was also well flavored and grilled. The broccolini came with a great char. The lobster was great and easy to take out of the shell. The kitchen cuts the lobster for you, but lays it in the shell so you still see the meat in the shells. This was a great grilled dish too. We ordered a bunch of sides too because they looked so great. We were not wrong. They were amazing. We got the sugar snap peas, fried rice, and sweet potatoes. The fried rice was our favorite. We didn't leave anything behind. The sugar snap peas were great too. The lightness of the dish was great to balance out the meats. The sweet potatoes were great, but a little heavy for the dishes we had ordered. For desserts we got the vanilla cheesecake and flan cake. I loved the concept of the flan cake. It was so inventive. We liked it, but the cheesecake won out. Definitely come here for a meal. It was one of the best we had during our visit and we would return.

Unfortunately my son tripped and fell onto the gravel sidewalk cutting up his knees and hand and face. At some point during the commotion one of the chefs were outside trying to help my son. After we finished the same chef came out to check on my son and to let him know she'd love to have him come back in the kitchen to see if they had any ice cream. After our little tour behind the scenes my son had completely forgotten about his incident - except for the fact that "it was worth it" after that sweet surprise. For example, the Makai Tower oceanside room near the lobby can only be accessed from the lobby by walking up two flights of steep stairs to walk across the bridge, then catch an elevator, or take more stairs, to access your floor. I eventually discovered that the Makai Tower had its own parking area and access door, which would have been helpful information earlier, but still required a lot of walking. There's a seemingly convenient but really old monorail that you could use to access the mountain side of the resort. But the speakers inside of them sound like they're from the 80s and your can hear the brakes screech no matter which side of the tower you're one at all hours of the day and night. Also, the Makai Tower has a stray cat issue, especially by the upstairs restaurant. Honestly, the best things this resort has to offer are the spa and the pools.
