Fill gas here many times. But this review is for the CAR WASH, Never again. Today I went, and when I got home the entire right side of the car, and the entire back truck door was still full of dirt! Like what? First there was the guys that power wash the car before it enters the machine. Then there are the guys that hand wipe the car of excess dirt. But still my car is dirty. I paid for the Pro $27.21! So sad.

If you are looking for a fast wash and don't care to have the inside of your car taken cared of (windows wiped down, and vacuuming) then this place is pretty good. They do a precleaning and then send you on your way through the machine. I like foaming action as it reminds me when I used to foam my cars in the past (I'm getting too old and not enough time) and then detail them. They are pretty affordable and they wipe your vehicle down when you come out. The line isn't too long when I go unlike some other places which makes it appealing.

This car wash is adjacent to a 76 gas station. The car wash drive through part is relatively old but prior to going in, there are a group of guys who brush your car. After exiting the wash, you can either leave or park in an area where another group of guys hand dry your car. I came on a Sunday afternoon, around 3:30 and there was a pretty long line stretching across the gas station. Overall, the whole time experience lasted about an hour from waiting in the line to getting my car dried. I was really satisfied with the pre-wash and the wash drive-thru but the drying was a little left to be desired. I had to go to the neighboring gas station to use some paper towels and dry off parts of my car. I drive a hatchback and when I opened my trunk, there were bubbles that seeped in. Overall, my car got washed and cleaned so I was happy.

This review is for the car wash section.... they are fast, efficient, reasonable, & friendly! They do a great job of working together to get you in and out with a sparkling clean car and you don't even need to get out of the car You can put gas here, they have a little store & they also have a vacuum coin operated area if you need !

No line! My Lucky day I guess :) Since the truck I borrowed is too high and I don't have a step ladder to wash it myself, I decided to take it here because it was close by. First thing I noticed was no line. Second thing I noticed was the price went up. Kind of a bummer but oh well. I guess it was to accommodate the additional workers they have now? I paid, then I asked nicely if they could shoot down the back of the truck bed, he said no problem. He walked around and carefully removed the antenna. A guy on each side of the truck proceeded to remove the bird poo off the windshield. Then a guy directed non verbally to me on getting the truck into the tire track. After the wash, three guys came over to hand dry the truck, even the inside of the door. That's a nice touch! Now it's clean, gassed up, and ready to return. Thanks Ngon for letting me borrow your truck!

If you're looking for a good car wash, this is a great place. This is a drive thru wash, but there are 2-3 guys who pre-soap and scrub your car while you wait to enter the drive thru. Then after the drive thru is done, more guys dry your car off with rags. They do a really good job, especially considering the price: $18-$22 The wait is about 20 minutes with a long line, and the wash itself is about 5 minutes. McKinley Wash wait time was crazy with people lined up out to the street, and street shine was 2 1/2 hours (and $60). Who has 1-2 hours to wait? Of course those two places clean the inside, but for $20 and a short wait? This place rocks! (You can pay to vacuum youself at self serve va s on site. Located on the corner of Berretania and Makiki, and connected to the 76 station if you need gas. Dont forget to tip at least a few bucks! TLDR; if you only have a few minutes, want a great outside car wash for only $20, this is the spot!

We had to wash car today and my fiancé and I were feeling lazy. Ever since The Car Parlor closed down, we are so thankful that Don's Makiki Service was open. Prices are very reasonable and they wipe your car down afterwards. The Car Parlor didn't even do that. We will definitely be back again if we're feeling lazy. We got the ProPlus package which was $21.99 + $1.04. So total was $23.03 so not bad. They also take card so it made it really convenient!

Nice car wash. Cheap and thorough. Fairly quick if you get there at the right time.

I've brought two different cars here, and both experiences have been excellent. Every employee who worked on my vehicles was incredibly diligent and paid close attention to the details. They clearly take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. The prices are fair, the quality is consistently great, and I've always left impressed with how clean my cars looked. My only wish is that they would open a second location on the windward side. I'd be a regular customer if they were closer!

Some places stop being businesses and quietly become part of a city. McKinley Car Wash is one of…read morethose places. I've been coming here on and off for almost thirty years. Every trip back to Hawaii somehow includes a stop here, usually in one of my parents' cars, waiting in line with everyone else while the smell of soap mixes with hot asphalt and exhaust. It's oddly nostalgic. The system works, but it definitely assumes you've been here before. When you pull up, the menu isn't really explained. You're asked a few quick questions about tires, vacuuming or upgrades and before you know it you're being waved forward. If you're trying to understand the difference between services or whether a detail is worth it, don't expect much guidance. The actual wash was good, especially for the price. Coming from Los Angeles, where a proper wash and detail can easily cost well over $100, it's hard to complain. Just don't expect perfection. The interior looked much better, but there was still sand hiding under the kids' car seats and a few corners that were easy to miss. If you have children, prepare yourself for the awkward dance of unloading everyone while deciding whether to let someone else drive your car through the wash. One thing I would recommend. Tip the crew. They work incredibly hard in the Hawaii heat, moving nonstop from one car to the next. No, it isn't a concours level detail. But for a long standing neighborhood institution that gets you in, gets you out and leaves your car noticeably cleaner without emptying your wallet, it's still easy to understand why locals keep coming back.

Lo and behold, this Texaco car wash place popped up. I read a few reviews and I decided to try it out. There was about four cars ahead of me. The reviews warned us about the wait time. There is wait that depends on the type of car wash package you select. I estimated @10-15 minutes per car. I didn't know where to pay and I asked my sister to run into the convenience store to check if I needed to pay first. You can pay inside and you will receive a receipt with a code that you enter into a machine that is located near the entrance of the car wash. Or you can pay at the machine as well. Your choice. Pay attention to the instructions and lighted signs! It will guide you into the automatic car wash with ease. It's pretty loud inside so be prepared! Pricing is really great at $10 for the basic- Deluxe Wash, $14 for the premium wash, $17 for the ultimate wash, and $20 for Ceramic shine. See photo for more information. It's an automatic car wash , so be prepared to wipe down your car with a towel after you exit and find a place to park. The dryer doesn't get every spot. If you want air for your tires, vacuum, or water, it will cost you. Bring your coins. Appeared that some features are broken. Overall, a good experience for my old and now cleaned up car!

Sometimes there's a guy that knows you want to use the car wash but he goes really fast, parks his car right outside the wash, takes his sweet time to walk and talk to the people in the booth. Then he slowly walks to the car, waits for I dunno - a few minutes. Then slowly goes in. When his wash is finished, he waits until the entire car was turns off then he slowly moves out. All of this before 6am in the morning. Good morning to all! But then it's my turn. I pay $20, get the ceramic coating etc... etc... and in the end, they fix the problem with the car ripping off my back wiper. They fixed it! Because it didn't wash half of the back of my car. Oh well..... So..... would you take this car wash which is the closest to your house? OR drive to Waipio for a 1 min 48 sec car wash for the same price? Choices.......

Booking an appointment is easy and Colby (new owner) is very responsive. He usually gets back to me by the end of the day. COST: Depending on what you wanna get, he hand wash and dries your car... I have a black car so I don't trust taking my car to an auto car wash place. The garage ticket is also automated. So you don't have to worry about paying for the garage fee on the way out. I'll be sure to add more photos the next time I'm there.
