I went to Don's for a special item I was making for my daughter's wedding- a mirrored cake stand. It was out of a hexagon shaped shelf I had painted. I wasn't quite sure if the weight of the cake would work if we added a glass mirror to the top of the stand (it would be covered anyways), but Malachi assured me it would be fine. He took all of the measurements and was such a pleasure to work with. He asked Donovan, the gentleman that would be cutting the mirrors and making the stand for me, which edging would be best and they both guaranteed a same day completion. Nature is a vandal - that's right Mother Nature! the same one that makes the flowers bloom and the birds sing also makes massive oak branches crash into car windows. A recent storm brought some very much needed and welcome rain as well as the winds that often accompany our Sierra storms. After the winds died down I felt safe to go out and survey any possible damage. All looked well - at first. Later that day I got in the car to go to work. As I closed the door I heard a crinkling tinkling noise - almost like a waterfall or like massive amounts of cellophane being crinkled. Hmmmm... I thought - that can't possibly be good. As I slowly turned to survey mu surroundings I noticed that the rear window was unbeleivably clear. So clear in fact that I could feel a cool breeze on my neck. *Expletive deleted* I muttered. Nothing like ending a 12 hour night shift of honest work and going out to find your car window smashed to start the day off right. Yes my workplace has security and cameras. Yes the security cruises the lot(sometimes!). No the cameras don't point in the direction of my car. UGH! I called yesterday at 10:30 AM and they quoted me a price lower than I expected and to come to my home and do the work (on my car) before the day was over. I had to schedule them for the next day and they came as promised. Sadly they brought the wrong glass so they scheduled me for the afternoon, came back promptly with the right glass, lowered the price $35 and did an outstanding job. I wanted four to be fix, one bad and three were more surface breaks, Person that assisted me was very friendly and professional gave me an estimate and appointment over the phone. I arrived early for my appointment and upon arrival was greeted and asked if I had been helped. Checked in my vehicle and a technician was with me in about five minutes. The technician was very friendly and professional and told me I only need the one fixed gave me an estimated wait time of about fifty minutes and was right on the money and fixed my surface breaks for me as well for no additional charge. The new office has plenty of room and provides refreshments while you wait. Parking was a breeze and when finish the technician went over the repair he had finish for me. I took my 93 Honda Accord in because I was having some issues trying with a piece of trim at the bottom of the front windshield. When I arrived, the team immediately assessed the problem and went to work on it. When they were done, the windshield turned out looking fabulous. The team went out of their way to make sure the weatherstripping was put back almost to original condition and fussed over it to make sure that nothing was overlooked. All of this they did for a very reasonable rate. They went out of their way and above and beyond to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. I called and asked them if they would be able to replace a piece of glass same day as an emergency fix she said absolutely the guy came out 2 hours late , he came out and measured he showed me the type of glass I could get I requested the one he said he had in stock at the stores and he told me he would be back shortly 2 hours went by he did not come back so I called and was told he had no intention on calling me for 48 hours the installation was not going to be done same day as it was said before they were not even going to let me know and they didn't board up the big hole in the front window next to the door in a neighborhood that just had a shooting 2 days prior which is why I PERSONALLY TALKED TO THEM about having same day installing they agreed to and lied with no update whatsoever. Will not ever use this company for anything COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Do not use unless u want to be lied to about installation and wait a week for something they said was coming same day oh an dont forgot they will not update you even if it is an EMERGENCY SERVICE.
