Today the manager from Don's Mobile Glass personally came out to look at my windshield. He looked at the hairline crack in my windshield and told me that it will not spread. He was very patient and explained that if chips are not fixed right away that dust and air gets inside the glass and can't be extracted. He offered to give me a refund if I was not satisfied. He also indicated that if my windshield does crack in the summer heat that I should bring it in to the shop and they would give me a good deal on a new one. I feel much more comfortable now about my windshield surviving the 100+ degrees that we get here in the Valley. Thank you for going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. read more

There's nothing quite like having a golf ball sized rock create not just a hole, but a vast network of spiderwebs across the entire driver's side windshield while driving to work...and then wondering how you can drive home with such obstructed view. I shouldn't have worried. They came out right away - and I work in Oakdale. The window was fixed and the car was ready to drive before I finished work. The gentleman was very personable and pleasant to deal with. The only sign that he had been there was a windshield considerably cleaner than the rest of the car! Was having a hard time getting my windshield repaired . The local shop in my town made me wait a week and even then they didn't show up . Saturday morning I requested a quote from Dons Mobile Glass. Back in January of this year, I had a windshield installed at Don's Mobile Glass. A few weeks ago, I got in my car and there's a crack in the top of the windshield, down to the middle of the glass. No chip or initial crack anywhere on the outside and I know the window wasn't struck from the inside. Not knowing what caused it, I took it to Don's Mobile Glass and Bill helped me out. Even though he didn't know what caused the crack either, he knew DMG had put in the window for me back in January and he totally took care of me, replacing the windshield. Will never use this company again. Was scheduled to have someone replace a broken sliding glass door. Appointment was scheduled for Thursday. The time frame was "8-12" is when they would arrive. I had to take a day off work, since I had no one to let them in. 1:00 pm and no one showd up. No phone call. Nothing. I called Don's Mobile to inquire about where they were. I was told "He got hung up at another job". I asked why I didn't get a call stating that. They had no answer for me. Since I was not able to take any more time off work, I was given the opportunity to be the 1st appointment for Saturday morning. I agreed. She stated "He will pick up his tools around 7:30 and head out. Should be there by 8. 8:30 Saturday morning arrives and no one. No phone call. So I called. Was put on hold. Waiting a few minutes, and another person got on the line asking me who I'm holding for. I stated my business. She then tells me the appointment is for 8-10 and it could be 10am before he arrives. That is not what I was told on Thursday. No apology. Nothing. Too many other options. I'll choose customer service over everything. read more

While Don's Mobile Glass came to the house and did my car and my daughter's car in the same visit and was easy enough to deal with, they were on the expensive side. It cost all of what my insurance company would pay plus cash - I have always had the cash waived by glass companies in the past. Next time I will shop price as well as service. My car was broken into and the rear drivers side window was shattered. The front office staff were very kind and courteous. Wayne, the tech who did my install, did a thorough glass clean up, and took his time to install my window the right way. One of the office staff, not sure of his name, sat down and visited with me, and gave me a free car wash coupon as waited. My 2015 NISSAN Sedan had a right rear window was smashed out by Vandal(s) during night-time when parked on street mext to 30 Apts. S, after Modesto Community POLICE came and investigated, I spent almost half hour sweeping up glass off street (other 1/2+ glass was all over my Back Seat!), and then I drove to DON'S MOBILE GLASS, got a FAIR Quote after their inspection. I was given a 'Courtesy Ride' back to my Apt. while Phillip Herroz, experienced Glass worker/Installer did a PERFECT replacement! They called me when job finished and picked me up at Apt to return to D.'s Mobile to Pay for my car and for me to inspect work done. ALL I can say, "FANTASTIC!", plus my Thank You's! But even more important, Phil appeared to have cleaned every 'bits' broken glass away (e.g. vaccumming, etc.) out of my entire back seat area!! ...and ALL my windows appeared CLEANED inside and out ... like a new car in a show room. I realized Don's Mobile is the BEST in Modesto with branches in other towns for over 50+ years; they've earned and grown with their fully Kowledgeable/Skilled employees smiling through each job they get in/assigned. Liked there new hdqtrs building on Scenic Ave/near Coffee Rd.(1313 Scenic Drive/Modesto)! ALL they employees I met 'smiled' and listened to my input, I felt wanted!! I like to give a business a chance to redeem themselves but this time I regretted that decision. Once again I'm quoted 2hrs, I check in at 8:34am, get told around 9am that my windshield is in a crate that will take 30-40 minutes to open (sounded long). Got one update around 10 that they are getting ready to pull my windshield. Only they didn't pull it until after 10:30. The paperwork says glass was set at 11:50am and vehicle released at 12:20pm. They tried blaming my damaged car hood for delay, but I watched them prop up my hood and not touch my car for hours working on other cars first. Maybe they had appointments but I was told I didn't need one. Then upon checking out was told couldn't talk to manager because none were there, probably all at lunch. Also, after getting home found a deep scrap in my car door and there is still tape holding my windshield in. Their website advertised "quick reliable service", but apparently it isn't serious!! read more

I assumed, by reputation, that I would have a good experience getting my bathroom window repaired. I called and provided a detailed description and measurements and was quoted a price of $165. When I took the window in to the store a young female employee informed me that the person I spoke with by phone didn't know what they were talking about. She informed me that it would be much more expensive. She took the measurements and my information and said she would have to wait for a technician to get a quote. I would tell you how much more it was, but that was a month ago and I still haven't received a call. Another company in town replaced the window for $85 and it took two days. If I could give them a negative star I would. I took my Nissan Sentra in due to the window falling off the track. They charged me $150 to "diagnose" the problem... Mind you I had already taking door panel out and told them what was wrong!! They then gave me an estimate of over $200 to fix it!! I had them just glue the damn thing! Now, it's been months and a different window had the same issue. I went to Low Cost Auto Glass on Beard Ave. They charge $35 to diagnose and that fee counts towards payment. Scheduled an appointment with them, initially they had given me Friday and I let them know that was too far out in the week (it's cold now!) so the lady I spoke to put me on a brief hold to, she then said "how about Wednesday from 1-5" I said okay that works out fine, so it's Wednesday past 5pm ( the day before thanksgiving) I call them to see what's up, the lady on the phone says on her end it says Friday and I explain to her AGAIN that initially that's the day they had suggested and I said it was too far out, now I'm sh!t out of luck because they're closing soon, not open the next day due to the holiday, and wants me to call them if I find someone else to do before Friday. Luckily I find a business that will come first thing in the morning. So this is my notice that I will not be keeping that appointment, since they're so great (eye roll) at customer service they should find this form of cancellation acceptable with how professional they are and all. I had turned a corner too close in my 5th wheel, whereby a magnolia tree branch "jump" right out and broke a window in the rig. After driving about 300 miles and rigging up something that would not allow anything to blow away, we called Don's Mobile Glass to see if they would come out and replace the glass.
