I recently had the opportunity to try doughnut king A doughnut shop that has been open Since the 90's I'm told I had the assorted doughnuts delivered By my friend Lemon cream filled White cream filled Sugar doughnut Chocolate twist Old fashioned I tried almost all the doughnuts And I'm just gonna say this... I started out saying, "I'm just gonna eat one " Well, after tasting how soft and wonderful the texture was One turned into 6 Or was it 7? All I know is.... I was competing with someone else In the house Because I started to see doughnuts disappearing Or was it that I was eating them soo fast That I thought it was someone else The lemon creme filled doughnut surprisingly really good I'm not even the kind of guy that likes lemon All of them were good It should be mentioned I ate all 6 or 7 before bed.. You know how you find a spot that you wish you didn't find but for the best reason... My daughter and I stopped after church . We got a 1/2 dozen of assorted. blueberry 4 out of 5 stars. I kind of like it better than Dunkin . I wish there were donut holes in this flavor. Red velvet- 3/5 stars. I just tasted a bit and it was just not my favorite donut Twist with cinnamon- Omg.. the best donut. 6/5 . Soft on the inside and perfect on the outside. The best way to start a day is with a trip to the Donut King! The pigs in the blanket are brilliant, fluffy on the outside and savory on the inside. And the donuts, my gosh the donuts! The icing on the doughnut (pun intended) is the beautiful, happy smile of the owner when she greets you I don't think she forgets a face or your favorite doughnut. Donut King never ever disappoints !

Donut King is a staple in the Snellville community. I love supporting small businesses and this is one of my favorites. Anytime I bring in breakfast to work I always come here to get it and everybody at work requests them. I like to say I'm a regular because they know me and my daughter by name. The lady at the front always gives my daughter an extra donut hole and it makes her smile every time. The donuts themselves are always fresh you can even see them making them in the back. The pig in the blankets are so soft on the outside and the perfect balance of bread and meat. If you are looking for service with a smile definitely come here!

Whenever I'm in Snellville I always pass this donut shop but it's always after they close. On this day I manage to catch them maybe 40 mins before they close yay for me! Unfortunately they only had a few donuts left so I felt I really didn't get to enjoy their wide range donut selections. Came to this hiding gem today for some apple fritters. I heard they are the BEST ever BUT unfortunately we got there to late and they where all gone. Luckily my friend called ahead and had Ken hold us some cinnamon twists. By the time we arrived they were closed but Ken waited on us and let us in. He had our cinnamon twist waiting and advised us to come early for the fritters because they are the first to go. I also tried the pigs in the blanket while we were waiting. The bread that its wrapped in is sweet and super soft and the hotdog/sausage has cheese in it. It melts in your mouth soooooo good! The cinnamon twists are huge and soft with a nice sweet glaze on them. I enjoyed every bit. They open at 5:30am and close at 1pm so try to get there early so you don't miss out. I'll definitely be back.

The best cake donuts I've found here. Tastes like a real donut like Mom used to make. So much better that Dunkin Donuts flavorless things. I love their glazed donuts too. My only complaint would be there appears to be no cinnamon in their cinnamon sugar. You can ask for cinnamon sugar but it still won't taste like cinnamon. I'm always tempted to bring my own cinnamon sugar but compromise and get something that doesn't claim to be cinnamon. read more

This mom and pop shop has been around for a long time. They are friendly and fast! They have the freshest donuts ever. They truly melt in your mouth. I am a HUGE fan of their pigs n a blanket. They are the best I have ever had! So happy to have such a hidden gem like this near me. read more

I recently went to donut king and had a wonderful time. Their pigs in a blanket had a beautiful texture and flake to the bread while the sausage itself was juicy with a pleasant surprise inside. CHEESE!!! While that was good by itself I also had to try one of their magnificent looking donuts. Since it was my first time there I thought I should just get a basic glazed donut . needless to say that donut blew my mind it was better than Krispy Kreme and way better than dunkin donuts. Donut King has really fell from where their quality of donuts they use to be years ago. I believe I have been a faithful customer because of the past years of experiencing great donuts. Their glazed donuts are oval shaped and seems to have watered down glaze on them. The eclairs or anything filled has little to no filling in them! If you bite into a filled donut there is just a whole with a dollop of filling. Very disappointing! Most of the donuts have the same flavor, its just colored. They really need to get back to the quality of their donut because their glazed donut WAS by far the best. An older gentleman use to be there every morning making quality donuts. Please retrain and get back to the way he use to make the donuts! read more

Tried the amazing spot this past Sunday morning. Got a dozen of the famous Pigs in a Blanket and dozen assorted doughnuts including the tasty Apple Fritters, Red Velvet, and CinnaSugar twists. All were fresh and delicious. Even with the Sunday morning rush i was served in 10 mins total. Most every customer had a dozen PigsInABlankets and one had 5 dozen lol. Very popular with the locals and id most defiantly return. read more

Some sweets are worth the cardio. Frosted cruller, blueberry cake donut....worth it! Pigs in a blanket awesome too. My twin boys and I stop by on the way to church as a special treat. Staff is genuinely friendly, caring, and always smiling. Love, love, love this place. read more

If you think Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme is good, then you must not have tried this place! Fresh Donuts everyday! And they are much softer and bigger than that crap at the other large donut franchises! If you live in Snellville, I suggest you start going here! The prices are a little more but trust me, its worth it! I actually get mad when I have to go back to college because there is no Donut King there! read more

I hate to be a donut snob but I guess I really am. Anyone who has been out to L.A. and tasted their fresh made donuts (Asian owned, and there's one on every other corner out there) would not step foot in a DD or KK. The taste is soooo deliciously different you have to experience it for yourself. Not sure about NY style but, they are definitely Cali style. Do yourself a favor and try them, I guarantee you'll be back. You can't get an "In-N-Out burger" in GA, but you can enjoy a great Cali style donut. ENJOY. read more

When you think of donuts, you should ponder this question: Have you ever really had a 'real' donut? Sadly, most who patronize the pink place or the green place have not. You see, the difference between those places and Donut King is that their donuts are premade and baked off and/or mass producted elsewhere and delivered to locations. If you are looking for freshly made donuts onsite, Donut King is the place. A donut should have a certain texture and taste outside and inside. The old fashioned chocolate glaze and the jelly glazed were excellent. And don't leave without trying the pigs n blankets. I don't blow my diet often, but Donut King defniitely made the extra calories an enjoyable experience. I have to laugh at some of the other reviewers who have complained that they don't have a lot of donuts on prime times and days. Duh! The fact that there aren't donuts means people are buying them because they are good. Mom and pops require a little understanding. Selling out and becoming like the others would defeat what they are trying to do: make delicious donuts. For the record, selection was great and wait was short with great service on Friday a.m.. But plan ahead and arrive early as with any good eatery! read more

Fresh baked donuts and pigs in the blanket. My son loves to go there. The donuts are really good. It would be even better if they carried a great brand of coffee, their coffee is standard quality that you would find at most gas stations. The pig in the blanket would also be better with a higher quality of hot dog. However, for their donuts it is difficult to only eat one. read more

Best donuts I have found anywhere. I have lived in many states, travel for work both stateside and internationally. Any city I'm at I check for reviews of donut shops and then head out. I've never found any better than Donut King. Their chocolate that they use is undescribably good. I recommend the plain glazed with the chocolate icing and then some donut holes. I love this place! I enjoy taking my son on the weekends I'm not working to get there donut holes. My favorite is their apple fritters. Everything is always fresh. I've been going here for over a year now and I've never had to complain about anything. Some days however they run out of what i like but how can I blame everyone for wanting good donuts. The only thing I would say is I wish they had the Asian iced coffee. I will continue to take my son here and see the biggest smile on his face! read more

This place has terrible customer service, but the product is far better than most in the area, except perhaps Public's Supermarkets. The clerk who is the owner, barely speaks English, and only hires Asians, who are probably her relatives. When you walk in, they never greet you, and act has if they don't even want to sell the donuts. The owner/clerk, acts as if she is not paying attention to you as you place your order, she has a very bad, unwelcoming attitude. Yes, I know that white patrons will tolerate more "poor customer service," as oppose to blacks, however, this person is rude and arrogant to the max. I'm a regular and almost everyday have my breakfast at this small doughnut shop. i get the same order every day which is apple fritter,chocolate glazed and maple cake with my two cups of coffee.they have never failed me in the last two years that i have been their customer. until picking my favorite trio i tried almost every doughnut they have ,each and every one was just simply great.since i don't eat pork i have never tried their pigs in blanket but i have seen people order them a lot. besides having the best and the freshest doughnuts in town their customer service has always been very friendly and courteous. they open at 5:30 am and close at 1 pm but usually around 11:30 they will sell most of their doughnuts. if you are not in the area trust me it will be worth your travel to taste these awesome doughnuts.you can get a dozen for around $8. read more

I can't say enough about this place. I literally have to stay up all night just to get in the door or set an alarm at about 4am. The donuts are always fresh and the pigs in a blanket are adult size! This place warms my heart and fills my stomach. Nostalgia in every bite. I love the cruellers, the donuts with glaze, the cinnamon dusted ones, and the chocolate topped. Great Selection, Amazing Taste and it's not "Showy" at all. It's my place of choice for whenever i need (crave) for donuts! The only downside in my eyes, and the reason it's 4 stars, there is like no place ti sit down and enjoy the donuts.. it also makes it look like there are no people there.
