The food is ok...fries are well seasoned, but the nuggets are more bread than chicken. They do give you a good amount of both, they're pretty much shareable. My 9 year old said her matcha was too sweet and didn't drink all of it but enjoyed the food. You really come here for the ambience, very cutesy but could use some touching up. Regretfully I have to write about my experience with cuckoo's cafe, I am not happy about the customer service I received at this location. I ordered the chicken nuggets and another chicken entree from the menu. When I received my order, one was in a box and the chicken nuggets were in a paper bag. When it was time for me to go I asked for a box to put my chicken nuggets in. The reply I received was "we don't give out boxes". I was deeply puzzled. I had just spent $30 for food and couldn't get a 3 cent box to put my food in? I was told they could give me a plastic bag. I kindly accepted it and left. This is no way to treat a customer who patronizes your business. There are so many other places I could have gone. I will utilize yelp services to find other places to go. Location and parking is convenient and it was a rainy day so this definitely helped. When walking in the aesthetics was very cute. The colors are soft and the booths have cute little curtains. There is even a piano! It's very family oriented. I ordered my food and the cashier was very helpful. Once our food arrived I can say I enjoyed the cuckoo donuts, the chicken eggrolls were ok, and I wasn't a fan of the curry chicken but the mocha latte was delicious! This spot is overloaded with cuteness I....a big grown 50, this place made me smile and feel like a little girly inside. Very pastel bright and spacious, plenty of seating. Vegan options, but staff were unsure about if their non-dairy creamer was vegan. They suggested I try a fruit tea instead, since you can get it with soy milk, so I got the strawberry tea. Been coming here for years! The only downside is that it gets packed pretty often but it's easy to see why. They have the best brown sugar milk tea I've ever had and their tofu is always delicious (I usually get the garlic soy or the plain spicy), and the Taiwanese chicken nuggets were delicious too. I like that all their drinks come non-dairy, but this was just TOO sweet. The boba in this drink also has this interesting taste. Almost like a burnt sugar taste. I know boba is usually left in a warmer so it doesn't get hard, but this tastes like burnt caramel. Not a fan. I've always gotten either the strawberry milk tea with crystal boba and rainbow jelly or the strawberry matcha latte with the same inclusions and it is delicious every single time! So fresh and so good! Never had a bad thing from here! The inside is also themed and decorated with tables and booths with curtains for some privacy! They hold monthly events and it's a wonderful place to grab a drink and some of the chicken nuggets and study or have a date! Went here for my granddaughter's 10th birthday. She had an amazing time with her friends. My daughter & the moms hung out while the kids hung out & everyone just had a relaxing, fun time. The place is decorated so cute & the spacing is great! The drinks were great, the food was ok. I've gone to the Cuckoo's in Duluth but this is my first time at the one in Snellville. Overall I think it's okay. The milk tea isn't the best out there and the place mostly attracts teens. They also had loud music playing, that meant everyone else had to speak loudly because it was hard to hear others. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to study because of how loud it was but maybe it's quieter earlier in the day. The service was normal but I don't think I'll be returning. Kinda pricey and it's one of those places that focuses more on the looks of the place than the food. read more

Cuckoos Cafe is a fairly new spot that is great for drinks and has a cute aesthetic. Firstly, I'd like to say that before I review a restaurant on or cafe, I like to go more than once. (typically 3+ times so i can make an accurate judgement) -Price/ Value- As is with many boba/ snack shops, slightly higher prices are to be expected. This is understandable in this case, and can be attributed to the fact that Cuckoos only has one drink size. Also, many of the "specialty" drinks start at $6.50 or $6.99. This means that if you get any toppings, you're looking at paying upwards of $8.00 for one drink. However, other drinks are available, such as milk teas and other more common "regular" drinks. Even so, many of these start at $6 as well. I'd say that the more common drinks are worth the money and you get what you ask for. Nothing less, nothing more. As for the food, I can say i'm a little disappointed, but understand that perfecting the food items is not a priority when drinks are the main event. I will say though that the fries are unique and personally I found them quite yummy. The portion sizes seem to be reasonable if not generous witch is always nice to see. -Service- I have been here several times and haven't really had an issue with service. Tonight however, I waited at the counter for about 7 minutes with no one ahead of me. Several employees saw me, but went back to whatever they were doing. I understand things can be hectic behind the counter, but I truly did feel invisible as I was waiting. Other than this particular instance, service is very good. Employees are kind and attentive. I would say the that service is this location's strong suit. -Ambiance- The store itself is a very nice atmosphere . The pastel pinks and blues and yellows allow for a very cozy vibe. I think this location was going for a sit-in cafe vibe where studying and lingering as you eat/ drink is welcomed. I can see this as being very effective if it weren't for the music. I've sat in with the intention of getting work done and being productive, but it is almost impossible due to the blaring music. This leaves me wondering if sitting in is encouraged or not. In conclusion I'd say that cuckoos cafe is definitely worth visiting for the drinks and the pleasant ambiance. :) read more

I feel like it should be a bit cleaner inside but I got a strawberry milk tea with the tapioca pearls and I didn't like how in at most 10 minutes of not drinking it. It would separate. I got home and I drank it and I got busy for about 15-20 minutes at most. It totally separated and it just looked gross. I lost my appetite from drinking it. I usually go to king fu tea and I just wanted to try this place for one time but I will definitely stay with kung fu tea. I've never gotten a milk tea that separates like that so quickly. What a surprise! I had no idea what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised coming in. The cafe is absolutely adorable, and I loved the music they had playing. Ordered 2 drinks and the condensed milk donuts. The drinks (Barbie and Ken and strawberry green tea) were a little sweet from my adult tastebuds, but I imagine a kid would love them. The food was different and delicious but I would not recommend it for smaller children that are picky eaters. They give you plenty of food in one order, We ordered some of their chicken nuggets and we still had a lot left over. Definitely not your shareable type of meal, It's not your normal eight piece chicken nugget. The girls there were very friendly and helpful when trying to pick something off the menu. The only downside was when asking for a side of popping boba that I paid for, they said that it had to go in the cup. I wanted it on the side so our girls could taste it to see if they like it in their drink before putting it in. In customer service, I feel like that wasn't too much to ask to help our daughters decide if they would like it as far as their first time trying it. The atmosphere was amazing and the music was also. They played the weekend the particular day. Even though it's not required to give a tip at the point of purchase, they do have the option for you to give the cashier or just a tip in general. The only downside of that was there wasn't an easy option to decline, so you're sitting there confused because it only shows options to give a tip and makes it awkward that you have to ask them how to use zero it out and not give a tip. Highly recommend this place but I hope they would work on their customer service solution skills as far as if there is a request instead of automatically saying no.
