Pretty good donut shop. Came in at 10 to close so there wasn't any other customers. The donut selection wasn't that large. There was mostly cake doughnuts. I got a sugar twist, crumb cinnamon roll, and a maple bar. Since there was only 3 donuts, they were put in a paper bag. I was sad that when I reached into the bag, the maple glaze stuck to the inside of the bag. The donuts were very soft, but not as chewy as I would like them to be. And the crumb cinnamon roll was okay. Overall, it's a good donut shop if you want classic donuts or cake doughnuts. I was looking for more exotic flavors so this wasn't the donut shop for me. Really disappointed, I decided to try this donut shop based off of all the good reviews. it's nothing special AT ALL. I only gave them 1 star because of their pb&j bear claw, which even then was JUST OK. First off, the lady behind the counter is extremely rude, it was our first time so of course we wanted to see what donuts they had she kept rolling her eyes at us, and giving attitude while we made our selection (mind you there was no one else but us in the place).. It wasn't until after we finished our transaction that we noticed the pb&j donut, since the atm machine takes FOREVER we asked to get the donut and we'd pay cash.. She rolled her eyes and heavily breathed out because we asked to get another donut. You know, supporting her business and making ANOTHER transition after we just spent $14, 30 seconds before.. on top of the horrible customer service, donuts look and taste like they're two days old, which makes me curious how their discounted day old box must taste if the "fresh ones" taste old. I really can't understand where the hype comes from, rude customer service and the donuts taste like crap. Honestly there's so many other donut shops in Fontana that will be happy to have your business and have good tasting donuts. Save your money and go else where read more

My favorite are the cereal topped donuts and the donut holes. The hot ham and cheese rolls are to die for as well. The place is clean and there are a couple tables to sit at. Yes, they are pricey! But so very very worth it! If you come early in the day, sometimes they have huge boxes of day old donuts that sell for a couple bucks. They are yummy, but you seriously have to eat them withen the next few hours....and thats fine with me. Fontana needed a place like this! Great Donut place. The people that work there are so nice and welcoming. They always ask how you are doing. The donuts are so fluffy and fresh. My favorite is the cereal topped donuts. They have donuts that are topped with Fruit Loops and Captain Crunch cereal. Also, they sell their day old donuts in a box for about $4 but those always go quick because they are just as good as the fresh donuts. My kids and I love the Donut Maker. I live in San Bernardino and I drive out to this shop in Fontana every time my family and/or I are craving donuts. That is how delicious the donuts are. The owner always has a smile on her face, and she introduced my husband to peanut butter and jelly bear claws. She also makes Captain Crunch and Fruit Loops donuts!! But you have to get there early for those fun donuts. I almost always get my usual which is a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. I read in an older review that they got sick from one, but I've never gotten sick from it. A plus: the shop is always clean and beautifully decorated. The guy behind the counter was really nice, welcoming, and polite. He asked how we were doing and we replied that it was our first time and he said to just take our time. They have quite a large selection of donuts with two that stood out. There was a donut with a pink glaze on top and a donut with an orange glaze on top. We decided to get both and found out that the pink glazed donut was a cherry flavored and the orange was a citrus flavored. Both donuts tasted great, a must try if you stop by Donut Makers.
