some ice cream flavors + cups + comes + milkshake makers

we were craving a cinnamon roll so bad on our lil adventure out there and saw this place while we were driving and had to stop by! we parked and there are a lot of cool shops around to pop by and take up time before/after a sweet treat! the line was kinda long but went by surprisingly fast with inly two workers :D we ended up getting a cinnamon roll, and apple fritter and a scoop of root beer ice cream :) there was a park nearby that we enjoyed our treats at and it was literally the perfect day out the cinnamon roll took 2 days to eat and i miss it, i cant wait to go back!!

The Donut Mill has been around for a long time, and has a legacy of serving up huge, delicious donuts. My mom grew up in Colorado Springs and when I told her we were staying around Woodland Park for our vacation she mentioned this place as one of her favorites from back in the day. Once she mentioned it, I remembered the handful of times she took us as kids to get a donut while out and about exploring, so naturally I decided to take my own and grab some one morning before we ventured out. It was midweek when I stopped in and there was only one other person in line, so it was a pretty quick trip. There was a decent selection and I picked up an apple fritter for myself, let my daughter pick a huge twist donut, and got a pretty standard donut for my husband. They were all very tasty. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 is because there were parts of my fritter that were raw and that was a bit of a let down. The flavor was good though, and I chalked it up to a mistake. The other donuts were great. If I'm in the area again I'd for sure give them another try.

Donuts were fresh & delicious. They're also gigantic. Staff was very nice. Great selection of donuts too! Could use some modernization inside but it is quaint & cute!

Literally everything about this place is perfect. I have tried many of their donuts so these are my rankings. The bear claw- Perfection 10/10 Apple fritter- Also delicious, some parts can be a little less sweet so if that sounds like your thing then this is a good fit for you 9/10 Bacon fritter- Good for those who have wacky taste and like that sort of thing. You CAN taste the bacon 5/10 Maple donut- So yummy but the maple is artificially flavored so you have to be okay with that 7/10 Strawberry sprinkle- I loved this 8/10 Sugar donut- Yummy and nice texture but a little basic 7/10

Charming breakfast spot with history and flair, drop in for Donuts or Biscuits & Gravy, coffee or ice cream. The bear claws were very good !

I think it's wild the Donut Mill doesn't have 5 stars. You cannot get more fresh, old-fashioned, comforting donuts anywhere else. The value is incredible. This bear claw (which they're known for) could easily be shared. The staff is so kind. We will be back!

I've been wanting to try the donut mill for such a long time! It's located in woodland park, so it's a great place to stop after a hike or a trip. After looking at fall foliage, I figured it was finally time to have a donut. They're open all day, although the selection seemed slim when I went in the afternoon so I figure it's probably better to come early. There were only a few options (sadly no jelly donuts), so I tried a maple glaze. They have a $5 credit card minimum so I also added on a donut hole. The flavor, texture, dough puff and sweetness were all perfect. I didn't think it was too sweet and I didn't crash from sugar afterwards which usually happens to me! The inside is very cute with lots of seating and nice restrooms. They also offer ice cream, beverages and food items! This is a great place for a sweet treat.

Good donuts, quite sweet though so one is enough for a quick breakfast run. The coffee is pretty good, comes in a compostable cup and optional little creamers/sugar on a small bar next to the self-serving station. The burritos are alright. The sausage one is good. (The chorizo one has bits of shredded potato mixed in with reconstituted egg and small amounts of meat, a little spicy).

Half strawberry glaze and half apple fritter

Great service, we had a teenage boy with silver earrings taking our order and he was so kind. The shop is located in the middle of Woodland Park and is so cute inside. It got two apple fritters, one maple donut, and one strawberry sprinkle. All were exceptional. The donuts had a great rise and were huge. Apple fritters were glazed with a great spiced flavor within!

So kind. Sooooo delicious. Sooooo worth it. The Donut Mill is a local DREAM! It is part of the fabric of Woodland Park life and culture. And at this altitude? That soft pillowy donut bite is hard to achieve! But the Donut Mill has undoubtedly found the perfect balance. We were thrilled to share this gem with our kids on a trip back to Colorado. Thank you Donut Mill!

What a classic this place is. We got the 5.5lb cinnamon roll!! Big enough to feed a village and it tasted so good!! The lady who helped us was so kind. She had brown hair and a beautiful singing voice. Unreal. The place was quiet as usual whenever I have visited over the years.

Stopped here on our way down from the mountains for a sweet treat. The donut selection was small, but the ones they did have were very good. I got the apple fritter because those are my favorite, and it was amazing. It's much bigger than expected, and because of the size, it counts as 3 donuts when buying multiples. The apple fritter was crunchy and gooey with the apple in the middle, so sweet. Wished they had more selection being called donut mill and all but still very good fritter. They also sell food and ice cream, which I did not expect. The staff were very kind and answered all our questions.

I really enjoyed this place. My boyfriend and I got donuts after eating breakfast and they were really tasty. We got three donuts. The strawberry , sugar , and apple fritter. The apple fritter and strawberry donut were good. The sugar donut was good but nothing special. It's cute inside

Not sure why everyone says this place is a must. Sub par donuts, dirty, feels so old. Wouldn't recommend.

You'll beat the crowds and have a chance to enjoy the incredible views without feeling like you're in a mountain-top traffic jam. As for the food, let's just say I suspect I was served yesterday's donuts. They were cold, hard, and had all the charm of a hockey puck. The breakfast burrito was decent enough, and the chocolate milk helped wash everything down, although both felt a bit pricey for 8 ounces. The setup is straightforward cafeteria-style dining: grab your items, head to the register, and check out. The process is efficient, even if the customer service wasn't exactly as inspiring as the scenery outside. On the positive side, there is plenty of seating, and it's hard to complain when you're eating at the top of the world. I was also pleased to see full-time EMS staff on site. Given the altitude and remote location, it's reassuring to know medical assistance is readily available if needed. Overall, I highly recommend making the drive up Pikes Peak. The journey and views are absolutely worth the trip. Stop in for a beverage and maybe a breakfast burrito if you're hungry. Just be warned: if those donuts look familiar, they may have seen the summit sunrise yesterday.

Coming from SoCal, we have a lot of really good donut shops, so I'll admit... I'm a bit of a donut snob lol. I also tried a few other donuts, and the lavender donut was the bomb.com -- perfectly balanced floral and sweet without being overpowering. The pretzel chocolate donut was incredible too. Not only was the food amazing, but the shop itself is so cute and has such a welcoming vibe. You can really tell how much love and care goes into everything.
