We planned on getting one donut each and coffee snd left with 7! The donuts are all beautiful and have delicious flavors- def NOT your grocery store variety! We had a blueberry streusel, bacon maple bar, Andes mint/ chocolate cake donut, raspberry filled, Bavarian cream maple, Carmel apple pie, and a peanut butter cup topped glaze- we cut them all up and shared between 4 of us. After reading review after review praising Hurts Donut, I knew I had to stop by, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The hardest part of the visit was deciding what to order. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a counter full of creative, over-the-top donuts in just about every flavor you can imagine. There really is something for everyone. I'm not a fan of overly sweet desserts, so I kept it simple with a glazed donut and a strawberry cake donut to pair with my coffee. The glazed donut was enormous, light, and fluffy without being overly sweet. It paired perfectly with my cold brew. Move over, Krispy Kreme, you don't have a dog in this fight! The next morning, I enjoyed the strawberry cake donut with a hot cup of coffee, and it was just as delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the day. I've had Hurts several times but I'd never actually stepped foot into their shop until recently. What a killer place. Crazy, over-the-top donuts and cinnamon rolls as big as your head. The shop smells incredible. Cute space. Plenty of seating. A great place to meet up with friends. When we were there, there was only one guy running the entire place. This place has its own special take on donuts. They have all the flavors that you'd expect but the dough they use tends to be richer and creamier than other places. That's what sets them apart. Their donuts are also thicker and more filling. We went on Sunday and it was easy in and out. This is a nice addition to the donut selection in the area. This is a really fun donut shop. They have a really entertaining vibe and the employee I talked to was super friendly and nice. My rating is middle of the road because they're a little on the pricey side and I'm personally not a fan of donuts that are covered in a ton of frosting, candy, etc. The donuts themselves were really good, but for me the extra stuff is a distraction. Never heard about Hurts Donuts before our local friends took us here on our most recent trip to Colorado. As far as I know, there are no Hurts Donut Company stores in California. Once you step foot inside their doors, you know that this is not your local Mom and Pop donut shop. It is so colorful, large, and clean inside. Love the clever decor all over the place! It's cool that you can see where they make their yummy donuts too. Those display cases of theirs are filled with mouthwatering looking donuts!! They have all the classics plus a bunch of others that you won't see in most local shops. Everything looked great!!! We bought an assorted dozen donuts for the 5 of us to share. Brought them to the house to enjoy later and enjoy we did! We sliced all the donuts and shared everything. What were my favorites? The Cookie Monster donut was creative and delicious. The Jesus donut is another favorite. Might just be the cool name, but it does taste good! The Bavarian Cream filled would have to be my favorite donut at Hurts right now. There are so many other donuts that I wish to try. Probably a good thing that there is not a Hurts Donuts shop in my hometown because my sugar level would be sky high! They delivered donuts to my doorstep for my boyfriend's birthday and it was wonderful. They were prompt and the donuts were delicious! My only gripe is that they don't have any gluten-free donuts (which doesn't take away a star by any means), but it just sucks that those like myself who are gluten-intolerant aren't able to enjoy the yummy looking donuts. This place puts Dunkin Donuts to shame. While I will admit Dunkin does have good donuts (and great coffee), this place's donuts are outright amazing! Every flavor you can think of is there! Blueberry streusel, strawberry cheesecake, maple glazed, and so much more! There's even donuts with certain candy on them and they all have unique names. For example, a chocolate frosted with Reese's Pieces on it is called an ET (get it?) The staff are always so friendly and polite and always give service with a smile. The store is nice and clean and the music is kept at a pleasant volume. The decorations are aesthetically pleasing. If you love donuts, then I'd definitely recommend this place! The place has several seating options and has a very nice environment, the lighting is neat and it's a very cool place to sit down and grab some donuts. The donuts themselves are honestly really good, very rich and sweet. Pictured from top left going right are the chewbacca, chocolate glaze x2, oreo cheesecake x2, strawberry cheesecake x2, blueberry streusel, raspberry filled, bavarian cream filled, lemon cheesecake and the cookie monster. Top 3 for me would be the Chewbacca, Cookie monster and the oreo cheesecake. Honorable mention would be the fritter, which is huge but also a very quality fritter with plenty of apple throughout it and an intense cinnamon flavor. We saw that this place was open so we stopped by. It was 10:10pm on Saturday, December 20th. We heard the donuts were really good so we were excited to try them. We tried opening all the doors but they were locked, even though all the lights were on and there were lots of donuts in the cases. We knocked on the door but no one came. After we got back into our vehicle, we saw an employee quickly walk by inside. They went straight to the back and we could see them peeking out of the back to see if we were still parked out front. We just left. It was very disappointing. Could you please post accurate hours or at least post a sign indicating that the store is closing early? That would be very helpful for future customers. We loved the signage and the names bestowed upon many of their donuts. Our fav rule featured on their posted "Do's and Donuts!" was "Do: Twist and Shout Donut: Go Chasin' Waterfalls." Once upon a time there was a Hurts Donuts location in Kansas City, and I remembered thinking they were pretty good, so when tasked with bringing donuts to my grandmother in Colorado Springs, it seemed like serendipity that this location was on the way into town. Also, I had a memory of there being a cookie monster themed donut that I knew would be a big hit with my small traveling companions. We arrived at Hurts Donuts in Colorado Springs around 10am on a Friday morning. I half expected it to be busy given it being a Friday but we must have missed the rush as we only had to wait about three minutes to order our donuts. The store is spacious and has a lot of fun stuff for kids to look at. The two I was with were enamored with both the cotton candy and the cookie monster donuts, so of course we had to get both! I had a maple bacon and we also ordered a few others for additional adults in our family. I can't say these are the best donuts I've ever had - that award still goes to Lamar's in Kansas City, but these pretty damn good. read more

I absolutely love these Donuts, I had went to one of their other locations while on vacation a few months ago and I was surprised to realize that there was a location right near my house. The staff here is super nice. I got a dozen for my family over Easter weekend and they all loved it. I decided to try Hurts Donuts ( in Colorado Springs ) for both myself and a client, placing two separate orders through DoorDash. Unfortunately, both orders were completely wrong -- and I mean completely. I specifically requested no cake donuts in either box. Instead, both boxes arrived containing nothing but cake donuts. I usually go with a different local donut shop that's been reliable, but I figured I'd give Hurts a try. Big mistake. Not only were both orders incorrect, but the response I received when I called the store was even more frustrating. I was told to "reach out to DoorDash," which makes no sense -- the delivery driver doesn't choose what goes in the box. That's on the staff preparing the order. Because of this lack of attention to a very simple request, both my household and my client's office ended up disappointed. The donuts weren't what we asked for, and frankly, no one wanted to eat them. If this is the level of care they give to delivery customers, I can't justify spending the money again. There are plenty of other donut shops nearby that actually listen and value their customers' experience. I'll be going back to the one that gets it right. So disappointed. I haven't been to Hurts in while since it's about a 30 minute drive away, but decided to go get half a dozen glazed Donuts as a special treat. These donuts used to be big, puffy beauties with perfect glaze. What I received today were like day-old supermarket donuts (see photo). My husband and i tried one and ended up with what resembled sticky water running down our hands. The donut was dense, greasy, and wet and in no way resembled the wonderful donuts Hurts once sold. First time and last time customer. Went on Saturday morning around 10:30am. The staff was very unfriendly. The young lady snapped at us while we were trying to decide on cake or raised. When she attempted to take a donut that we had chose off of one of the trays the older woman scolded her/us. So not sure if those two were having issues but definitely not something that should be taken out on the customer or done in front of the customer as it made us feel very unwelcome. And then there are the donuts themselves. We ordered 3 donuts and a fritter. Every one of them was stale. How can a donut place be handing out stale donuts on a Saturday morning? I would have thought that they would be going through their inventory fast enough that everything would be fresh, Nope! Also the raised Streusel has no flavor, no sweet, nothing. Like eating cardboard. I don't like to waste food so I didn't throw it out, took home for the squirrels. $20 worth of donuts and we ate maybe 5% of it, a bite from each donut. This place is hit or miss. Sometimes I'll go in and the case if filled with endless donut options. Other days, the case will be down to the bare minimum. My last visit produced sad, stale donuts.
