I like to goto Donut Queen because their donuts are always good. No complaints there. But went last night a little after 9:00pm to pickup a couple dozen donuts for work meeting next morning. The girl working the counter took a phone call just as we approached the counter (what sounded like a personal call) after staring at her for five minutes and being ignored we walked out. I'll just get up earlier in the morning and goto Jelly Donut, they offer much better customer service and really good donuts also. read more

The glazed cronut here is delicious! It's crispy, the glaze has like a hint of cinnamon but the cronut isn't just covered in heavy glaze to the point that you're eating straight up sugar. I've had a cronuts from other local donut shops out this way and they're 100% the opposite, so DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

The clerk is nice but the owner is a major b*tch. Cancelled the order without informing the customer. I drove around 25 miles just to find out the order was cancelled. When I spoke to the owner, she showed no remorse and gave an attitude of "I can do whatever I want." What a loser. Tried to charge me more and give me less for the new order on the spot. WTF?! I have visited this shop many times and the service has been so so. Today the girl that helped me and my friend needs training on how to help and take care of customers. She got the order wrong and instead of owning it and saying sorry let's fix it she was very combative and argumentative saying no you said blah blah. With CAUTION!!! I was offered donut holes from my grandchild.. she had five left in the bag so I ate a couple which was always fresh and delicious. The next donut hole I bit into had something hard.. As I picked the item out of my mouth.. it was a hard wire about 1/4". OMG!!! I called Donut Queen and informed what happened. They fixed their apple fritter, they made them smaller so now they are just the right size. Before they were too big and made me nauseated. Now I love them. So I am a donut addict... I love donuts very much and this place is the best in Vacaville that I've found. So fluffy, sweet, but not hole-in-your-tooth sweet like Krispy Kreme. On Friday May 2nd at 10:30 AM I was at Donut Queen in Vacaville, California. There were probably 8 other people in there. Two people serving. One, however, was taking a phone order. Much to my shock she was on speaker phone. Everyone in there could hear every word from both sides. The man ordering gave his name, phone number, credit card number, expiration date AND three digit code on the back of his credit card! That's all anyone would need to scam his card. After she hung up she immediately disappeared to the back room. I mentioned to the other person waiting on me how dangerous and stupid it was of her to do that. I was mad at myself for not handling the situation better. Thinking of the many things I could have done. I have tried to call at least a half a dozen times now to speak to the owner, Terry. I left my number for her to call me back, too. I was always told she would be there "tomorrow." That just never seemed to happen. She never called me back, either. Twice today I called and there is no answer. They recognize my number! She should for sure call this man and tell him his credit card has been compromised. Anyone in there could have recorded that conversation as the lady had the man repeat everything for accuracy. Do not order from them over the phone. This was always our go-to donut shop. New owners have made a lot of changes and not for the good. We have been going there for at least 15 years. No more. read more

My husband is not a simple man. We both like the occasional donut when offered in the office break room. When we go out for donuts, he is always in search of the elusive cream filled donut. I think cream filled anything is blasphemous, but alas, love makes you do crazy things. I always go to Donut Queen in Vacaville for our bimonthly donut binge because they carry items that we both like, and he usually settles for a maple bar since they usually only have jelly filled donuts. I will always ask for the cream filled, but the answer is usually no. Today, this was not the case! I came in bleary eyed but excited for the pending sugar rush. I ordered my usual and was about to pay when I noticed something different, a round, maple topped donut that appeared to be full of creamy goodness. I asked, "What is that?!"
