My regret is that I waited 5 months before picking up the phone & making an appointment. Jaclyn Losie is the owner of Skindustry. A nationally recognized aesthetician, Jaclyn has worked in NYC, Denver & Austin before opening up her own place here in Houston. And lucky for us she did. She offers a variety of services: facials, chemical peels, waxing (she was named one of the top two people to see in NYC for Brazilian waxing), tinting services & makeup application. Skindustry is located on the second floor of a business building off of Bissonnet & Edloe. This is a one woman show so each appointment is intimate & the surroundings relaxing. For my first appointment I was advised to show up 10 - 15 minutes early to fill out a questionnaire. We discussed what I wanted to acheive (can I get back the skin I had when I was in my 20's?). Jaclyn took a brief look at my skin through a magnifying lens & customized the Signature Facial which included a pumpkin exfoliation, extractions, mask & serums. An added bonus was a face, neck, shoulder, & arm massage. What a relaxing experience! So relaxing I fell asleep during the massage. :) After the appointment I asked her a couple questions about skin care & Jaclyn recommended a couple steps to my skin care regimin. She has products there (which are reasonably priced) so I purchased what she recommended. She even wrote down instructions! Jaclyn is amazing. This is by far the best facial experience I've had. Not only that but Jaclyn made me feel good about myself so when I look in the mirror I see healthy, glowing skin. Yeah sure, the fine lines & some imperfections are still there but for some reason they don't bother me as they did before. My first appointment did wonders for my outer & inner self. I can not wait for my next appointment!

I made the mistake of bringing my daughter in to get her ends cut…read more BIG mistake and forever regret. $55 for a horrible, uneven cut. Her hair is thick and curly, but was straight at the time. The lady wet her hair to cut, I asked her to not wet her hair (because it goes back curly) and to cut it straight and dry. 4/5 inches later, her hair is uneven and just a ridiculously, sloppy cut. I'm upset on mere principle. My recommendation is if you're not comfortable cutting hair a certain way. Then say that and DON'T cut it. Jacking someone's hair up is a disservice.

Once you arrive and check in you are ushered to your service area and given a drink menu of complimentary beverages. The Jack and Coke was heavenly after a long day of work. Today I went on a Friday at 3p and it was a little calmer and it did not take them long which I appreciate also, sometimes the nail salon is a chore after a long day but the fact that they work so efficiently while not compromising their work, is pretty awesome!
