The leeks were over powering and we both couldn't stomach the taste. They need to drop this from the menu. Next time we stick to our favorites. Been there twice and disappointed both times. Loud and so-so food. Quite a few beers on tap including Guiness, Harps, Irish draft cider, etc. but not served in pints. The fish and chips were OK. The Irish Beef Stew (Guiness) was disappointing. It was served in bowl over mashed potatoes and was barely warm. I like Dinty Moore Beef stew out a can better and costs way less than the $12.99 Dooney's charges. The restaurant /bar itself is very loud. It is a large open room in a strip mall taking up 2 or 3 storefronts. While they call themselves an Irish Pub they it is really just a sports bar with lots of TV's around with high open ceilings. There are too many competing sounds bouncing around inside the bar: Different games are on the TV's playing along with 2 types of music plus the noise form the bar patrons. My friends hand burgers off the menu and said they were good. It is not on my lists of pubs to return too. I recommend travelling further north on Rt 130 and trying Doc's or Geharty's Pubs up in Burlngton City instead. read more

Attended a party there. They now have a private room with your own bar and bathroom. I really enjoyed it. The buffet was good, didn't have to wait for a drink and you were able to hear each other talk. I would have a party there! read more

I am a fan of Irish pubs I haven't been to one I don't like yet. I really like my waitress she was on top of things. I like the decor and they have outside seating something I really like. The crab cakes where good especially considering it was a bar. I looked at some of the plates that they were giving to other customers and they looked good. I'll have to go back and test out some more trets. read more

I had take out from here tonight so this review is solely the food. My first time here even though I live around the corner. I ordered the Buffalo chicken salad with romaine letteus and blue cheese dressing. It was amazing! Greens were fresh and crispy, blue cheese dressing not full of chunks, and chicken delicious. I am undecided if I like this place or not. I have been a couple of time. However during the storm a couple of weeks ago, me and my BFF ended up here and everything was delicious. Place going downhill, went to dinner with hubby last week and they couldn't even cook a steak correctly, was sent back twice. Third time was just over cooked but he was starving so just ate it. Waitress asked if he would like a free drink (he was drinking ginger ale). Talked to Tracy the manager and instead of receiving a "free drink" asked for a small donation for a high school fundraiser. Was told sure no problem and to come back the following Tuesday and they will do something then. Went in that Tuesday then was referred to another person who "would give me a call". No response and total waste of my time, next time just say no. If you can't cook a steak right then I'm better off taking my business to Whistler's, Throwbacks and The Jug. Whoa! Sunday nights sports nights. Wow! My wife and I wanted a later dinner and we stopped in Dooney's. We have been here many times before and I get the Reuben and she loves the healthy salmon salad. But stop the press - they have a special menu on a sheet of paper that was just outstanding! First of all I was blown away by $2 drafts and $3 23 ounce beers. What a savings. And you can get nachos for $4, nachos supreme for $6 and they have Irish nachos for $4. Try them! Then what got us was the $5 cheesesteaks! So forget healthy tonight-we pigged out and took home the other half of the cheesesteaks. I had 2 big beers (she was driving) and our tab came to $26. Not to mention I could watch my Packers win on our personal table side TV!!! I love this place! read more

I have been here a bunch of times and I love it. The food is good, the drinks are decently priced and the staff is friendly. I think the best appeal about this place is the menu selections. While they have the traditional pub food, they have a bunch of different things that you really don't find in the area, since it's an Irish place, they have a lot of traditional Irish meals. The decor and the atmosphere is great and some of the booths even have their own personnel tv. Very cool. All in all, this is a solid place that you will not be upset about. read more

Been here a few times now and I have nothing but great things to say about the food...call it what it is excellent bar and Pub food, for all the negative comments from people who complain about the food obviously your expectations are not what they should be...get the heck out of this Fun place and take your stuck up sorry ass palate to some upscale place else, and let us enjoy this Gem of a establishment....just to let you know I've eaten in over 1,200 different restaurants/Bar and grills all over the country/world and this happens to be one of my New go-to spots....Oh and as far as the service always remember treat people the way you want to be treated...it really works....They always treat us like family! read more

We still go here all the time great garlic buffalo wings even though they are always stingy with giving you celery! Always gotta ask twice. We love getting the coupons too. My husband loves the burgers and my daughter thinks it's the best grilled cheese around. I always mix up what I get but if u get the potato soup it's good but cold. read more

This pub is awesome!! The restaurant is beautiful...wood furniture and tv's in the booths. The staff is always friendly and helpful as well. And the most important thing... the food is amazing!!! I always get the prime rib sandwich and it never fails. I also like that they offer a vegetable of the day rather then having to stick with chips or fries. The vegetables here are always fresh! My only complaint is that it's a little pricey. I get take out a lot and for two meals it's at least $20. Still, this place is worth a try!!! read more

Went for St Paddy's day for a night cap. Advertised pints of Guinness for $6. Instead got 8 ounces in a plastic cup. Last time going there.

Hate this place. The atmosphere is garbage, wouldn't even turn the sound on this last summer for a Phillies game. Against my better judgement today, I got a grilled cheese and their "special" tomato basil to go. The sandwich was enough to feed a five year old, and my tomato basil soup was fn corn chowder when I opened it. Should have just gone to otts as usual. read more

Normally I participate in the takeout portion of this restaurant and they are great! They are only a short walk away from work so its my go to almost every Saturday night. The portions for take out are amazing and defiantly fill me up. The prices have gone up recently but so has everyone else's. The place is clean and while it is loud on the bar side (as to be expected) the dining side is a lot quieter. Aside from a holiday work party I have never actually eaten inside the restaurant before. I can definitely recommend the take out though! read more

I visited this fab pub for the first time and was really impressed. The staff was ultra-friendly and I had a potato leek soup that was crazy good! I am not going to say that I am a soup connoisseur but...OK, I AM going to say it. I am a soup connoisseur and this one was fantastic! I look forward to trying other things on their menu in the future. Also, it looked like everyone was having a great time playing some type of word game at the bar. I'll check it out the next time. I can't believe I haven't been there before since I live so near. Definitely work a visit. read more

Just ate dinner here with the family. Most of us ordered a meal that comes with fries. All of our meals came with literally a few fries on the plate. Being as though you spend about 12-14 dollars a meal you think you would get a decent amount of fries. We got are appetizer with no plates to eat. By the time we got plates our food came out. probably the worst bar I've ever been to in terms of food. We had been there a time before and got the pub pizza and artichoke dip... and both made us sick. Tonight a couple of our friends invited us out to eat and although we swore to never eat there again, we agreed to meet them for dinner. Disclaimer: HOT WINGS WERE TERRIBLE. They tasted like there was a bucket of black pepper in the sauce. It was so bad that after a few bites, we couldn't taste anything else we had ordered. The remainder of the the food we ordered wasn't as horrendous as the wings but could all be summed up as tasting like leftovers that had been reheated to a luke warm and mushy consistency. All of the food tasted like it was frozen, heated, had gone cold, and heated in the microwave days later. Probably a nice place to get drinks, but eat at your own risk. read more

I met a friend here late yesterday afternoon. I was unsure whether or not she had already arrived, so went inside to check. There were 2 hostesses standing at one of the pub tables in the bar area, just inside the front door. However, they were too busy looking at stuff on their phones to notice me. I stood there a full 4 minutes UNNOTICED; they did not even raise their heads once. Since my friend had not yet arrived, I simply went back outside to wait for her. This time upon entering, we were "greeted" (I use the term loosely) & seated in a timely manner and our server, I believe her name was Sammi, was attentive, knowledgable & efficient...she deserves 5 stars. She informed us when she was finishing her shift so we settled the check and she brought us another drink. We set there talking for perhaps another 1/2 hour and during that time, not one person inquired whether or not we would like anything else. While the food was very good, as always, there needs to be a bit more attention to the customer service. Perhaps some staff "retraining" is necessary. The focus should be the customers, NOT your private phones. read more

I hate to give this place only 2 stars but the food was bad to mediocre at best. The pub itself was awesome and had a great atmosphere. It's really clean, spacious, nicely decorated in dark, warm colors, and there are a million flat screen TVs. Even the booths have their own TVs--and they actually let you control the volume and change the channel. So if you want a great spot to watch a game and drink with your friends, this is definitely the place to go. I would love to go back for some beers. That said, I went with family for dinner and I'm just really hoping Dooney's improves whatever is going on in the kitchen. You're probably safe if you stick to the usual bar fare--burgers/fries/wings, etc. But I ordered the pasta primavera. I know, I know, who goes to a place that calls itself an Irish pub and orders a pasta dish? Me. I don't eat meat and I was (sort of) trying to be healthy. I think it was either that or pizza, so I tried the pasta. It was awful. There was no flavoring that I could taste. No garlic, not even any salt or pepper (at least not any amount that was noticeable). It looked completely unappetizing as the only vegetables mixed in were broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, and slimy long sauteed onions that looked like they belonged on the cheese steaks, not on the pasta. So it was a dish of green, yellow, pale yellow and tan . . . as it's the middle of summer and the place is in NJ, I didn't think it would be crazy to expect some tomatoes! Or bell peppers. Even some fresh red onion would have been great. I just felt like this is the easiest dish in the universe and they clearly couldn't be bothered to do it right. And if they can't do it right, they should just take it off the menu. I've been to other bar/grille-type restaurants and had great pasta dishes, so I know it's possible. My husband had the shepherd's pie and said it was ok, but nothing he would purposely seek out again. I also have to say that our waitress was really slow and disappeared for long stretches of time. It wasn't crowded or busy when we were there yet she didn't pay much attention to what was going on at our table. She was very friendly, but her obliviousness got to be pretty annoying. Since this place is so new I hope it will improve and I'll be able to update with a better rating soon. Bottom line--this place is great for drinks, but don't expect a fabulous meal. read more

I am glad to see another option to go and have a couple drinks. The place was very clean. Yes, it was a little loud, but that is what you expect going to a pub. Our server Danielle was very attentive. She made suggestions according to what we ordered and stayed on time of serving our table. We had nachos and pastrami sandwich, they were both very good. There are big flat screens all over. We loved the fact that in every booth there were little flat screens to view the Phillies game. We finally have a nice place to go either after work or during the weekend, when you just want to have a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. I look forward to going there for the EAGLES games. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday about 5:30 pm with the wife. Parking lot was pretty full, but don't let that fool you. Yes, there were lots of patrons inside, but still plenty of room for more. We walked in and looked over to the bar area which we prefer, and still plenty of room available in the large" U" shaped bar. Sat down and immediately someone came over to us. We chose Sam Adams "Cold Snap" on tap as a seasonal selection. I ordered up the "Guinness BBQ Burger" @ $10.99 that comes with Guinness BBQ sauce, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and onion straws. Served with fries and pickle slices. Burger was very tasty and filling. Beer was cold and flavorful. Wife ordered up Fish and Chips which she said was just ok. Service was excellent as the bartenders did a great job coming back to make sure we were taken care of. Dooney's Pub in Riverside at Hartford Corners will definitely get return visits from us. read more
