I'm putting in a quick update since it's been over 4 years since my last review! Please see my earlier reviews as well. We stopped in to buy some bottles of wine directly from their store as we knew they'd have a better variety than what we saw at the grocery store. We picked up some to enjoy during our stay in Door County and some to bring home as gifts. We really enjoyed the Ledge Blanc which was hefty enough to go with some brats we grilled at the house we were renting. We noticed the expanded food offerings that are available for accompanying tastings and will need to try that on a future visit. This is our go-to place in Door County for some great local dry wines! Yes, they do have sweeter options as well, but we prefer dry, and this is one of the few places up here that makes truly enjoyable dry red and white wines. read more

The atmosphere inside is very modern and they have a large outdoor patio when weather permits. The weekend we went, there was live music outside on the patio. The service was friendly and helpful. The wine we purchased was not my favorite but I do prefer sweeter wines. Overall it was a nice experience. read more

This was our first stop on the way to door county. It was good! It was a classic winery we got a taster of five flavors and were blessed enough to be there when the dog was there! Wine and dogs could win our entire group over. They have cute merchandise and great prices! read more

We drove by about 5 times before we stopped, but I'm glad we did. The tastings were not expensive and a great way to try some things while we enjoyed some afternoon sun. We weren't hungry enough to grab any cheese or snacks from the cooler but it was nice to have that option available. They had a good variety of wines and only use WI grapes which was interesting. We loved the patio seating, live music and the Adirondack chair options. All of the Frozen Tundra wines were crowd pleasers. read more

We were greeted by a nice lady. We get to choose 4 for the wine tasting. There was a nice backstory the guy gave for the wines we selected. We sat inside, but there are seatings outside. Very clean and spacious inside. It was very warm that day and we were allowed to walk through the vineyard and taste a few grapes. They had red and white grapes. Luckily, we came the week before they were going to harvest them. read more

Was pleasantly surprised by this cute winery! Stopped in with my partner for a tasting. We were greeted right upon walking in the door and the woman explained to us how things work, super appreciated since not all wineries work the same. We ordered a wine and cheese flight at the bar. I really liked that you could choose between two different wines for each selection. The staff here is great! The woman pouring our wines was super fun. And a man set up a table for us outside without us asking so we could enjoy the gorgeous day. The wines were 50/50 for me. I loved the sparkling and the rose! The white wine that was supposed to be akin to a Sauvignon blanc tasted more like an oaky Chardonnay to me. And the red wines that were meant to be dry were pretty juicy. We did not even make it all the way in the door before the nicest employee that I've ever come across greeted us and told us excitedly about how they had won 2024 awards. We were given the sample list and quickly pointed towards the wine bar where we were able to get four samples and some snacks. It's a beautiful setting and there was live music the day we were there. We really loved the wine, especially the sparkling ones and relaxing inside. read more

This was our last stop on our mini self-led winery tour and it was a great way to round it out. The location was beautiful! A little ways off the road and a nice building. It wasn't too busy inside and we had quick service! My favorite of my choices was the pink frosting, but their St Pepin was also great. We rated this one as our best stop for snacks, as they have a great selection of foods/charcuterie goodies. The man who helped us and poured us was super knowledgeable and was very helpful. Everyone was great and the wine was pretty good! They didn't have a lot of fruited wines, but overall had a good selection. Their specialty is the Ice wine and for good reason- make sure to give it a shot. I would not miss this spot- make sure to check it out! read more

This is a unique winery it has great scenery. I thought the service was awesome. The wine was nice the pink drink is a must try.

If you are a single female over 65, do NOT bother to stop here. I waited over a half hour. There were other customers who arrived after me that were taken care of. I may as well have been invisible. I have experienced this kind of discrimination in the past. Despicable. There are other much more receptive wineries nearby. read more

This is a fancy and modern winery and a good spot on any wine tour. I would recommend people stop in and try their wines. The flight samples are great and the staff are generally friendly. My favorite wine was the Red Frosting -- absolutely delicious. Their whites weren't as delicious, but they have so many flavors. I did email the owner 5 days ago about accidentally double booking on a tour and a trolley tour, but she never emailed me back. However, within 1 hour of receiving my email address on a little form, she sent an email to advertise discounts and more wines. Not jazzed about it. read more

This was the third stop for wineries we made in the area. The guy who poured out wine, Jon, was super helpful and knowledgeable. The winery was surrounded by a bunch of land and it was nice inside. Not super cozy, but spacious and lots of natural light. We each tried a flight we enjoyed. Ignite was my favorite from them. We weren't there long, but the wine is worth stopping for. read more

We visited in 2022 and loved the wine and staff. Since then we have ordered from them a few times each year and couldn't be more pleased. The website is easy to navigate and the customer service and communication are outstanding. Our favorites wines are the Marquette Reserve and Petite Pearl. Definitely plan on visiting again on our next trip to Wisconsin; until then, we will have their wines shipped to our home. read more

They place is alright, but I have two issues. First, they have no crackers or pretzels to clean your pallet between wines on a sampling flight. Every other winery has this, why don't you? After a while, the wine all started tasting the same. I'm also not a fan of how pushy they are to get your personal information. Just to do a flight, you need to fill out a card with your name, address, phone number and email. If you try to leave it blank, they basically tell you that they must have that information. Obviously, they want to add you to all their junk mailing lists. Because of these two reasons (especially the latter), I won't be returning. read more

Just visited for a wine tasting. My dad asked John if they had any Non-Alcoholic wine, which we have been able to find at many other wineries in the area. John's response was "no, that's called grape juice". I felt this response was not necessary. Their wine was fine, but I will not be coming back for their service anytime soon. read more

We did a personal winery tour around Door County and Door 44 was my favorite one. They had a huge tent outside to accommodate for outdoor seating due to Covid and it offered some really nice shade from the heat. Wine flights were $7 for 4 samples. They had a good variety of reds and whites and even an option for ice wine. Staff were friendly, quick, and were wearing masks. I headed home with a few bottle that I will definitely be enjoying later. read more

Stopped in to do a tasting this past weekend at Door 44 Vinyard and Winery. We do live in Door County and when we first moved here 12 years ago we visited all the wineries on a regular basis. But as time goes by it seems to be more of a tourist thing and the newness starts to dissappear. Door County has something for everyone, whether you're a serious wine a ficionado or just a casual drinker. Door 44 will meet your needs with great success in wine varieties from sweet to light bodied dry in selections. You have the option of building your own charcuterie board, a cheese board with wine options, or buying some local goods to pair with whatever wines you have selected. All this can be enjoyed in a wonderful indoor setting or on the patio overlooking the vinyards with tempatures that are hard to beat. You will more than likely be greeted by Claudia, the manager/cheerful host and directed to the tasting bar where Stephen with all his knowledge will help you with wine selections. Love love love the space! New, clean, open, bright... super great spot to do a wine tasting! 5-stars for the space! The wines were not by cup of tea, so I'd give it 3-stars. But, when I think about Wisconsin wines, I don't expect the best of the best I guess. We went here on a tour and received 4 wines. I didn't really like the fact that after our samples, our only option was to buy a glass (or bottle) and we were not able to buy another flight of samples. Since we didn't get to choose what samples we got, there were a ton on the menu I would have wanted to try. But, sampling wasn't an option. Not sure if this is how things normally are. Or, if this is a side-effect of COVID. Either way... I'd recommend stopping here on your wine tasting journey through Door County! read more

Had a great time here. First time visitor. Margaret was extremely helpful and welcoming to our group. We had two flights and enjoyed a nice day and tasting on their patio. Bought a bottle of the Drink Pink, yummy! Would definitely come back again! Not sure how great of a visit it would be without nice weather. The best part was being outside. read more

Visited during COVID on a rainy day and was happy to find something to do while we couldn't go to the beach. It doesn't seem they normally have outdoor seating, but they've set up a tent outside for tasting with spaced out tables which was very nice. The service and servers were great, prices incredible ($7 for 4-flight tasting) and I got to try something new (Ice wine). All in all a great experience, so why 3-stars? Well aside from one tasting (which were all OK) I would have poured all the wine down the sink if I purchased the bottle at home. read more

This is not what we expected out of a "winery." 1) we weren't allowed inside and were taken to a tent and had to sit in plastic white chairs that were uncomfortable which isn't the best atmosphere to enjoy wines 2) wine tastings were served in plastic cups 3) the server dropped the wine tasting off and told us nothing about the wine! We didn't learn about the grapes, the alcohol content or anything about the wines which sure doesn't make it fun to enjoy or be inclined to purchase a bottle after the tasting 4) Giving them 2 star vs 1 because the wine was great tasting though. read more
