We stayed with Forgotten Fire Winery for the night as another stop with Harvest Host. We have a 45' camper, so couldn't fit in their regular parking lot and used their commercial driveway side. We arrived in the pouring rain and one of the staff came out and helped back us in! You don't even see this kind of service in the biggest RV resorts! Now the wine... It's amazing!!! Did a tasting, then basically bought a complete variety box to go! The woman working the front was a ton of fun to talk to, and even suggested a mixture of two of the wines. Word to the owner, bottle it!!! I forget the names of the bottles as we went through the box so quickly, but it was a strawberry and lemon wine mix. Only bummer is the story about loosing your vineyards. Love to walk through the vineyards, but understandably not your fault. read more

The wine tasting was an excellent value. The wines were lovely and the service was pleasant. I will be returning.

Keep going a little farther than the yelp map tells you and you will find this very enjoyable place to try a few new wines, at a very reasonable price. The name of the winery reflects the local history of a huge and very sad fire, that took 1200 lives. Although the fire is "forgotten" because it occurred on the same day as the Chicago fire, I predict this winery will help the event be remembered. Our server, Jake was pleasant and knowledgeable about all the wines and Cofers and other beverages offered. Most are blends, some are oaked and some not. Most of us he wines and other products have very clever names. Plenty of parking. If you have trouble finding the location, just call and they will help you-it's not located on a busy road. read more

We had a nice time here. The bartender was great, and we enjoyed trying the wines. Unfortunately, the wines here are very forgettable. We did buy a bottle of one of them, which was quite good, but it was really the only one that either of us tried that we could see ourselves drinking a whole glass of. I would consider coming back next time I'm in the area because it's something to do and I enjoy wine tasting, but it will not be a destination for me the way that other wineries can be. read more

I enjoy wine. I do not pretend to be an expert. I enjoy visiting wineries when I am out of town and on vacation. We found this this place on a quick trip to Wisconsin and The forgotten winery has moved to the top of my list of best wineries I have visited. Such a cool place! Visiting from Florida last weekend we went in on a cold, rainy day, and were the only ones there at that time. We had a great tasting and tour of the place, and learned the history. I can't remember the name of the woman (I'm sorry, I'm terrible with names!), but she was awesome! While most in the group had ZERO interest in going to a winery, the experience was tremendous. We went on a Saturday, while the band played and the sun started breaking through the clouds. We did the 7 wines for $5 bucks wine testing. I could write for hours, but I need a nap, the experience was just phenomenal. We lived, we loved and boy did we laugh! Thanks Joe!!! Joe and his wife (forgot her name I'm so sorry) were tremendous. A success story in there vision, and celebrating their passion. Hence the reason I am walking out with 3 extra bottles to take home to the east coast. Do yourself the favor, stop by, have a glass and experience Americana at its best. We spent our 29th anniversary and my husband's 69th birthday (same day) at the winery the afternoon of September 2nd and enjoyed good wine, good weather and wonderful music by Charlie. A wonderful place to wile away the afternoon and relax among good people and good wine. read more

Now this is a must do if you are in the area and looking for something to do. We happened upon a flyer in our hotel lobby in Marinette and had some time to kill. We stopped here with a couple friends and were very glad we did. One of the owners happen to be working the sampling station. He was awesome! I wish I could remember his name. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us so much background on the wines we tried. He even told us where the wines were starting to be distributed back in our hometown. He also gave us some good tips on where to go for lunch. Check this place out! Great wines! read more
