Each string was 108 feet long and we spent days carefully wrapping the lights all around our home. We ended up leaving them up all year long, but not on. Well, a few months ago we hired Freddy as he was recommended by our realtor. He was responsive and fairly priced and did good work. One of the things they did was fixed a lock on my gate, which still had my string lights draped over it. As I walked in, I noticed they had cut the string lights and I was pretty upset. I told my husband and he went out to talk to them about it but Freddy looked my husband right in the eyes and told him they weren't cut, just taken down. He then wrapped them up the way they were before to show him. My husband came in and told me they weren't cut and that Freddy showed him and put it back together. I guess I should have known to not trust my husband's opinion and to double check, but I didn't. Well--I just went outside to queue up the Halloween lights again as it's that season and they are indeed cut as I originally thought. He simply wrapped them together to try and hide it. It's not like the lights themselves are that expensive, we got them on Amazon for like $15 bucks, but the blatant disrespect of our property and the willingness to lie straight to my husband's face is concerning. We were paying him over $1000 for the job and he easily could have said sorry and taken $15 off the job, but instead he lied. If he is willing to lie over a $15 error, I can't imagine what he would do in a scenario where he actually caused serious damages to someone's home. So, I felt the need to come warn you all here.
