I needed to book inspection really quick, and when I contacted them they came back to me with a quote right away, and their email was very informative and thorough so I had a very good understanding on what I needed to do and what to expect. They were able to inspect the house the next day which I was impressed with. He was there early in the morning and was done with it when I arrived there for the consultation. He explained everything thoroughly and answered questions I had, and I thank him for catching signs of roof leak and some other minor stuff as well. Very thorough. Chad did not disappoint... in fact, we feel that he exceeded our expectations! We initially had Chad scheduled for the inspection 2 weeks before closing - a date that was confirmed with the builder. He showed up to the site and it turns out the builder had not finished, and it wouldn't have made sense to carry on with the inspection. Chad was very lovely about it, even though it was an utter waste of his time. He was very flexible and rescheduled to a later date. Home inspections are a rough gig, I think. People are relying on you to go over an entire house in…read morethe space of an hour or two and find everything that's wrong. But the possibility of missing a thing or two is always there. It just matters if you miss little things or big things. So rather than focus on how much was caught or missed, I'll say they caught enough. And they were very friendly, on time, and happy to answer questions and work with us.

Had the inspector taken a little more time to investigate these items, the report would have been much more accurate and reliable. I have a new build so when it was finally time to hire an inspector I decided to go with MC2. So glad I did. They were reasonable and the inspection took about 3 hours. It was a smooth process and Greg, my inspector, was awesome. He was VERY picky (which I love) and he pointed out things that I wouldn't have seen. Please do NOT purchase a home without getting your own inspection done (IMO). Greg was very professional, he came in with footies and he had the report done later that night filled the pictures, notes and suggestions. Our particular home inspection cost us around $600 for a four bedroom/3.5 bath home = I believe it was a bit cheaper for our smaller home. My favorite thing about working with Scott is how he approaches his inspections as an educational opportunity for the homebuyer. He took the time to review the notes and photos in person and within 48 hours he sent us the full report with action items broken into red, yellow, and "not urgent" categories. Over the years I've referenced his last report for guidance on my next steps for home improvement. His scheduling staff is also very friendly and quick to respond. I was able to pay for the inspection on his Ipad with my credit card at the end of the inspection. Side note: Scott specializes in historic homes. Highly recommend.
