We initially had Chad scheduled for the inspection 2 weeks before closing - a date that was confirmed with the builder. He showed up to the site and it turns out the builder had not finished, and it wouldn't have made sense to carry on with the inspection. During the inspection process, Chad was thorough and explained his recommendations in terms that the average person could understand. He went through the entire house and would show you issues he saw, so that you could see it for yourself. We are in the process of buying a home for the first time, and part of the process is a home inspection. We were given a sheet of possible home inspectors from our realtor, we checked those inspectors out online and didn't see anyone who stood out. We searched around online a little more and found Crossroads, with a great rating already. We emailed that night, and the next morning, we received a reply from Chad, that quick! The reply was detailed and very helpful. In that reply, Chad gave a rough quote (one for slab and one for crawl space), after we spoke and confirmed the house was on a slab, Chad stuck to the original quote for a slab foundation. The price is very competitive too, which is important. We scheduled the inspection for the next week. Chad was early, already getting started before we got there which was awesome! He already had a few things to point out right when we showed up. Throughout the inspection he was very patient with my wife and I, we had our little boy with us, so we went for a few car rides while he was inspecting. When we would get back from a car ride, Chad would have a number of other points to explain. Everything very detailed. He knows houses, that's for sure. He also uses an app, which is super helpful to understand the house. It's color coded, red for defective areas, yellow for repair/maintenance, and green for good. Within each section of the house, Chad writes notes. I was impressed. My wife said it was like having a family member inspect our house. His inspection was extremely thorough. We actually had an inspection document as our home was in the hands of a relocation company, so we got a copy of that inspection which was done a few months prior.
