    Beef bulgogi lunch box

When you stop for lunch and the place is full of Koreans eating, you know it's gonna be good. I got the beef bulgogi lunch box. It was tasty. Some of what the others around me got looked good too. I will be back!

This place looks very unassuming from the outside, and the inside almost has the feel of a takeout place, but with a decent amount of seating. We were seated right away and service was pretty quick. I split the beef bulgogi with my friend, and we still couldn't even finish it all! The bulgogi came out sizzling on a hot platter and was super flavorful, and served with perfectly cooked rice was the best combo. The Banchan was all very yummy as well and a nice fresh complement to the meal. Prices are pretty high here but you get a large portion so it's worth it.

Dooriban is hands-down my favorite Korean spot in St. Pete! Even my sister in Sarasota asks me to meet here there for dinner every few weeks because she just can't get enough of it! Everything I've tried here has been fantastic: - Tteokbokki: Perfectly cooked rice cakes in a deliciously spicy sauce that'll have your nose running and your taste buds screaming for more. Don't skip out on the Combo Special add-on! For $4 more you get cheese and 3 pieces of vegetable mandu, which really take this appetizer to the next level. - Galbi: I don't know how they get these ribs to be so juicy and flavorful, but this massive plate of delicious meat is an absolute must! If you can fight the urge to finish your Tteokbokki before the Galbi comes, it's delicious when dipped in the sauce -- even without, though, these ribs are incredible. - Seafood Tofu Soup: The ultimate comfort food for seafood lovers! Chock full of shrimp, squid, clams, and tofu, this spicy soup comes to your table BOILING and it takes a lot of self control (which I often don't exercise) to not immediately dig in. For those non-seafood lovers, there's a beef version of this soup that I'm sure is equally fantastic! The next time you're looking for a Korean food fix, stop by Dooriban!

Actually surprised how good the food is because from the outside, it does not look like much. Very hole in the wall place but there is a good amount of parking available. The food alone gets a 5/5; some of the best Jjajangmyeon I ever had. I was skeptical getting the galbi because of the price point but the portions are HUGE with good amount of meat. One thing I wish they did was give more sides per portion because it's probably just a few bites per side and we had to ask for more. And it's one set per small table it seems like. Service is prompt; had no complaints and they also very personable. Not from the area but I would come back if I ever come visit again.

I have been craving Bibimbob and when I came here. I wanted everything on the menu ... but I went for the Bibimbob. My friends got Beef Bulgogi and Spicy Chicken Bulgogi. All 3 were phenomenal! The service was nice. Ambience is an older feeling. I will not make any negative e comment about their decor. Everything is freshly cooked and served to order. Will be going back again, again and again.

Had a very good experience here taste wise. Everything was delicious. The bulgogi was probably the best I've had all Dishes tasted great and the service was good. Service was on top of everything offering more side dishes and always keeping drinks full and asking if we needed more sides. Having authentic Korean food in an old Taco Bell was a fun experience and made it unique!

One of my biggest concerns about moving to St. Pete's was the lack of solid Asian food, so we made it a point to check out a few Asian spots to get a feel for the scene down here. Coming from NYC, Korean restaurants are everywhere, but not all of them are great. I have to say, Dooriban was actually pretty good. I just wish their menu was a bit larger. Where's the sundae and gamjatang? (This is me politely asking for more soups, haha.) The service was friendly, and they made sure our banchan were always refilled. Their bachan was okay. The kimchi was a little overly fermented. The space itself is a bit small and kind of gave off old-school Chinese takeout vibes, just repurposed into a cozy Korean spot. Overall, it was a nice meal, and I'd come back--but I'm definitely hoping they expand the menu in the future.

One of my favorite Korean restaurants in ST. Pete! Everything here is so good! Service is quick. Food is flavorful and large portions. It's my go to spot when I crave Korean food!

The place was packed! We went in and sat ourselves down because it was so busy, the servers were so fast and accommodating to our needs. I found that the pictures side of the menu was easy to read over. We easily spent over $100 between two people and the food was so worth it. We took a lot of food home as well

The atmosphere is very casual and the restaurant itself has an old fast food chain vibe so don't wear anything fancy. The food is good and satisfies my craving for authentic'ish Korean food, and the service was prompt and pleasant. Will def be back again to try more things on the menu!

This is building is an old converted Taco Bell. It's small and gets busy. It's a little dated but that's how you know it's going to be good. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly. Food came out quick. Large family style portions for a reasonable price, that's what you're looking for when wanting Korean food. Black bean noodles are a must for me, these hit the spot. Also had the beef bulgogi which had great flavor. Side dishes were minimal I've had better at other places but as long as there's radish and regular kimchi I'll live. Conveniently located near me as opposed to all other Korean restaurants I know of being in Tampa. When I'm craving it and in a pinch I will return. 8/10

Unfortunately, the new owners do not offer delivery service, but if are in the area, they are worth eating there or to order to-go.

I visited before a Rays game and was immediately impressed by both the service and the food. The staff was attentive without hovering, the pacing was excellent, and the entire experience felt polished and intentional. I ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi steak, tofu, fried egg, kimchi, vegetables, gochujang, and crispy rice, along with two spring rolls. What stood out most was the balance. The dish delivered heat, sweetness, savory depth, texture, and freshness without relying on heavy sauces or excessive portions. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. The portions were thoughtful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were layered rather than overwhelming. Since moving to Florida, this ranks as one of the best restaurant meals I have had. Highly recommended.

We arrived around 10:15 p.m. on a Friday night, with the restaurant closing at 11:00 p.m. Maybe that contributed to our experience, although several other parties were seated after us, so we weren't the last customers of the evening. We ordered quickly since we already knew what we wanted. My partner ordered the special, I ordered the ramen, and we shared the fried shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. Our server was friendly and attentive, though it was clear the staff was beginning to transition into closing mode. Unfortunately, that affected the atmosphere. While we were still eating, employees were spraying tables and mopping nearby. The smell of cleaning chemicals mixed with our food, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. When my ramen arrived, it looked more like a wonton soup or pho than the ramen I was expecting. I didn't question it because I assumed it might be their interpretation of the dish. However, the broth was quite bland, and the vegetables were still somewhat undercooked. The chicken had no seasoning, it tasted like it was boiled within the broth. After a few bites and sips, I decided not to finish it. My partner seemed to enjoy his meal, though he tends to be pretty easygoing when it comes to food. I didn't try his dish since it was very spicy and that's not really my thing. The restaurant is in a great location on Central Avenue, which makes it a fun area to walk around and people-watch. However, with most dishes priced around $20, I expected a better overall experience and higher quality food. Unfortunately, this isn't a place I would return to.
