This is an awesome Korean barbecue restaurant that does small "Bento box"-like meals for Korean food. They have limited options, and each option comes with rice, kimchi, pickled radish, and two fried Gyoza. For the price, it's not a bad option. I got the spicy pork, which was nicely seasoned, and a fine portion for lunch. They make it fresh in the restaurant which is really refreshing. The kimchi is excellent, with a perfect amount of vinegar and crunch. The pickled radish is a sweet palate cleanser. That is nice to have between bites. And the rice is just your standard sticky rice. There is very limited seating inside, but they also have a few outside tables. Stopped by Korean BBQ for an inexpensive tasty Korean lunch experience. This is a quaint shop with one long table and two small tables by the window. They also have tables outside which who wants to sit outside in the summer in Florida. There were two people working. The sweet lady taking the order and the chef. We enjoyed this little Korean restaurant with lunch with a smile. We ordered a bento box and asked for japchae noodles instead of veggies. It's not on the menu. They nicely obliged. I tried Allie's lobster roll which was also very good. This quaint restaurant is extra memorable because of them being extremely welcoming. KOREAN BBQ, as the restaurant is actually named, is a new Korean operated business located on Park Blvd. The location is in the shopping center across from the Sonnys and in front of the local Korean church. The ordering experience is novelty, as it is touch screen ordering, similar to an ordering system that you would see in East Asia. The prices are very clear, and most items have photos. However, the kimbap pictured is not accurate. The menu is very limited to just a few rice bowls and kimbap selections, and a few appetizers. Rce Bowl: The price is a little high for the meat and rice bowls, as it is just meat and rice with no sides. Kimbap: But, the kimbap is fairly priced for the size of the rolls that you get. The flavor and quality is also very good. My main complaint about the kimbap is that all three types offered; seafood cheese, vegetable, and beef all are served automatically covered in spicy mayo. Spicy mayo is not good is you are craving original flavor kimbap, so I would ask for sauce on side. read more

The pork bulgogi was EXCELLENT! Owner is nice and pleasant. We ordered and chose to eat there but it took foreverrrrrrr. Normally not an issue but we have small kids and that was hard. 25 minutes in one my sons says, "Was that the rice going into the pot?" (We're Asian so we know that sound. lol) And sure enough because we don't get food until 25 min later. People came in after us and got food when we did; pick up seems even quicker. Bulgogi was just ok. Mandu/dumplings were little/small. We asked for water but never got any. :( Also, there was no restroom. Yerp this is Korean bbq done pretty well ! I liked the spicy pork more so than the bulgogi simply because there was more flavor . The pork was juicy , perfectly cooked and the flavor was more sweet/savory instead of spicy. It was the slightest hint of spice but not enough to be considered spicy imo . The star of the meal was actually the kimchi which they make it in house and it's better than any chain kimchi I've had. The bulgogi wasn't that sweet and salty which is what I'd expect from bulgogi so this definitely fell short of my expectations. I'll start by saying this is not a negative review. On a scale of 5 "3" is average. And that's what this is. We had a bulgogi and "spicy pork" bento box. While both were good, the bulgogi was sliced too thick and the spicy pork wasn't spicy at all. The food was good though. But average. I will say it was cheap at $24 for both of us. Back home we had a place called Seoul Market Cafe that spoiled us for Korean food. We've yet to find anything comparable in the Tampa area. Suggestions? Being 45 minutes away and only here to go to MD Asian Market, I doubt we would return. read more

Felt like it was frozen from a grocery store and over cooked. Saw the gentleman pull the shrimp tempura out of a Costco bag. Definetly not traditional korean food. I'm giving this place four stars because I ordered a cream cheese kimbap roll and the beef bulgogi Bowl. This is a starting up place that has a very small menu. So it doesn't have a full Korean menu nor is it Korean BBQ as we may think where it's endless. They have three types of bulgogi bowl and then they have three different types of kimbap rolls and a couple of appetizers. They are only offering take out at this time and the sign does encourage customers to wear masks. I will say what I ordered was good but not the best that I've had in the area. The cheese kimbap was definitely interesting and definitely a good portion size. For the most part of the beef bulgogi was pretty good. Overall not a bad place if you are in the area and would like to check them out it's always great to support a small and up-and-coming business. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The interior of the place definitely has a nice look so even though it's small it would be a nice place to sit down and have a quick bite when they officially open up to cater to seated guests. read more

This place definitely felt like a mom and pop shop and I give them credit for holding up the fort and staying in business around a lot of competition in the area. Customer service was on point delightful and the woman working there gave me an impression of gratitude and warmth. The service was slow and I'm not going to complain or ding them for that because it takes time to cook a lot of food especially when there's only one cook in the kitchen so I truly understand the delay. I ordered the fried dumplings and they were just okay. They tasted half cooked and the texture was off. I wasn't a fan. The bento box with the beef was good and had enough flavoring which was perfect. I also ordered the Kimbap roll. That was probably the winner winner chicken dinner right there. It was my first time eating that particular roll and I can proudly say I have zero complaints and the portion for the roll was generous. No wasabi or eel sauce came with it but luckily I used the sauce for the dumplings and that tasted good. I was surprised that the bento box was cold when I tasted it at first because I thought the covering would trap the heat. It was a one time experience for me. I probably won't be back due to the heightened prices and the limited menu. My only constructive criticism is to add more things to the menu like steam dumplings and fry the dumplings a little bit longer and add those short ribs to the menu etc. Also, add more Korean food perhaps? read more
